This segment is heating up. I really like the design direction Honda took with this new HR-V and the new Civic. Waiting to see how the DNA will trickle down to the rest of the lineup.
Blows my mind how many people expect this car to smoke a STI from a dig. I drove one personally (actually drove it) and its not anything near what the negative comments make it out to be. Everyone acts as if there aren't cars, Trucks and whatever else on the road that drive slower than this lol. People are crying for a 1.5 turbo motor that has only been issues for Honda the past couple years. "Give me one of those engines that have been leaking gas in the oil" that sounds so much safer and reliable. A little bit of research about common problems and issues for those "faster" motors would do this comment section and many others some justice. There are people that have been driving super old cars with no safety features around for years, no back AC vents or arm rest but when this was made it became a problem?
Great review as always.. love the look of the new hrv.. especially the side profile.. good job Honda! Although this is not for me.. on my 6th gti and golf r lol.. my sister is looking at this and would be her 4th hrv .. thanks for the test drive .. first I’ve seen
While it doesn’t look like the boxy VW Taos, it is similar in that both are bigger than anything else in the subcompact class. In fact, I would say that both the HRV and the Taos are actually compacts. The 2023 HRV seems to emphasize handling and ride comfort instead of pure space like the prior generation HRV.
Honda will have to Redesign this for 2024 Model year! They have to offer the 1.5 L Turbo or a new non-turbo engine that puts out more torque and HP, or some hybrid version. Also, more features like power seats, sunroof, rear vents, larger displays, USB ports in the rear, and a power lift, will make owning a $27K- 30K Sport or EX-L worth it. It doesn't even have a coolant gauge! I know that the 2023 HRV will be very slow getting on the highway with passengers and cargo. I own the 2019 Civic EX-L and 2021 Civic EX which have the 1.5 L Turbo.
Great review as always. Very surprised Honda left off items like rear air vents, rear armrest. Otherwise they did a good job. Looking forward to your reviews on a Corolla Cross for comparison purposes. 😀Thanks 😊🙏 Not sure if Sirius xm is even offered?
Great review! This is the first light interior that I have seen. Honda makes so many black interiors and they are too hot in the summer months. I went to my local dealership today and they had one in white. Love the new body style….. Waiting to see the redesigned CRV, but this is the perfect size for me and I rarely have any back seat passengers so can deal with the lack of vents.
Great review. I agree, this is a compact, no way this is a sub-compact. It seems Honda put some space and effort into making the ride and handling decent.
They’re built on a similar platform so the overall feel isn’t very different however with these fatter tires, the ride quality feels miles ahead of both the Civic sport and Si I’ve gotten the chance to drive! The non sporty civics may also have better ride quality however I haven’t gotten the chance to drive them.

Nice looking interior in this color with leather and vinyl trim on the doors and dash. I just don't care for the gloss black on the front end bottom area.
Thanks for watching! Hit the subscribe button if you’re new and stay tuned for tomorrow’s review of the all new 2022 Honda Civic Si!

It’ll be exciting to find out! The next gen CRV will also have bolder design to it 👍🏼
Good review! Subscribed! Can’t wait for new CRV review
At first I thought it was ugly but the more I've seen it I now think it is beautiful.
Same! But also much better looking in person.
Having no Navigation isn't a problem. Everybody uses their cellphone GPS anyway.

I think the shiny black trim will show more scratches whereas the nonpainted is more durable. Great review
Thanks! You’re probably right about the scratches but if you’re in the city, not driving on rocks or gravel there shouldn’t be any issues!

I bought my 1984 Honda Prelude from you guys. Long time ago. Great review. I'm in JAX now and if I can't find one here, I'll jump on I-4!
I absolutely love my 2023 HRV, I call him Harvey. ❤
Buyers also get 24 months 24,000 mile Honda Service Pass beginning with the 2023 Odyssey and HR-V.

There actually are vents, they’re just under the front seats. A lot of cars have this and people don’t realize it.
@@adamesd3699 Interesting….not one reviewer has mentioned these? I will check it out next time I am at the dealership. Thank you!
Hi W.T.F Car Reviews Can You Make The Some 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport
Yessir I’ll try getting one asap!
@@WTFCRLT1 Thank You
Great Job throughout!! 👍🏽👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks! 👍🏼
I’m going to look at one tomorrow
Brilliant job in my favorite Honda SUV bro.
Thanks man🙏🏼 👍🏼
no rear ac/heat...no power tailgate, no a LOT of stuff.looks great will sell for $24,900 for sure!
Great review.

Agreed man this SUV is spacious, comfortable, and affordable! Great work from Honda I appreciate the comment! 👍🏼
I have a Honda Passport Elite. Looks very similar but its bigger and has the 3.5 V6
How does this drive compared to the Honda Civic 2022? Great review thanks

All set to buy one until I heard CVT trans. Just can't stand that. Nicely done review though. Great presentation.
Can I ask how tall you are? Curious how the head room was in the EX-L with the sun roof. I am 6’1”. Thanks
I’m a little over 6’ so it should be perfect. Anyone under 6’5 shouldn’t complain!
Yeah that’s Amazing 😻
Looks nice but they cut corners by no rear ac and rear center console
Looks like a baby Porsche / Audi
Agreed!👍🏼
where is the fog Lights come on HONDA I Live in the Pacific Northwest fall season and winter need a fog Lights sometimes Put some fog lights
Do the back seats still lift up for floorboard storage like the previous models?
If you’re referring to the “magic seats” they were unfortunately discontinued for this new 2023 model year but the seats fold for a flat cargo floor!
@@WTFCRLT1 yep that’s them… that’s a bummer I loved those, they come in handy for the furbabies!! I’ll hang on to my 2019 for now lol
I loved the white car next to it
What about mpg?
I wish there was a turbo option.
Nice car n vid
Thank you! 👍🏼
Ventilated seats?
No
Would it really hurt honda to at least match the toyota corolla cross 169hp and 150ft lb torque?
I think it looks like the new Ford Escape...especially from the front. 😄
The front does have some resemblance! Although technically part of different segments, both SUVs are basically the same size! 👍🏼
VANILLA
Hard choices for people now
No navigation 😳
Apple Carplay. Android Auto. Waze on your phone.
I like what I see 😝
Me too haha
Cant wait to load it up to go camping: just dont go near any hills. Underpowered but those who buy this dont mind.
Honda Escape...
front grill is really strange looking...
At least it's not overly massive like Toyota does
Prefer the 2022 older model
Reminds me of a wal-mart version of a ford escape...
Mazda cx30 blows this out of the water easily
0-60 yes but not in practicality.
@@WTFCRLT1 performance, materials, reliability, comfort. What else do you want?
@@lagranarob-3881 I agree and for the price we can go for a CX-5 and yeah well no competition at all
slow car
It's a sub compact grocery getter. You expect 400hp? Lol
The new model is longer, wider but with less interior space. It’s a fail. It’s an ugly car as well.
Doesn’t this car have a 10s 0-60 time? That’s a Honda screw-up. Underpowered.
