Thank you so much for this recipe. I’ve never made pecan praline but would like to make some this Christmas. Usually I make almond Rocca. We have those same pots as well. Bought them about 40 years ago so they are well work, and yes the handles get extremely hot!! Love your accent! I’m in northern alberta Canada
Hello! This recipe is so good! You can double the recipe, too! Thaks so much for watching and for being so kind! Happy Holidays to you and your family!!! I appreciate the love and support! MUCH Love!
Yes, they are! I told my sister about them. She said that they look old to her. l I told her to NOT let the look fool her. I haven't gotten a bad bag yet! I keep one on hand! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Hi! Yes! When I first started and would mess up, I wouldn't throw it away either. I have literally added it back in the pot and cooked it a little longer. LOL! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Last time my pralines didn’t set up I grabbed a box of milk chocolate cake mix. Added extra eggs and put milk instead of water in mix with a little sour cream. Whipped it up and poured the praline sauce over the warm cake and it set up beautifully. I called it a Milk Chocolate, praline cake and it was the absolute bomb! Oh, I forgot that I whipped up some fudge icing with cocoa, butter, powdered sugar and put a dollop over each piece of cake. It was the bomb.
Thanks SO much! I LOVE this recipe. It's very rich and I have a hard time eating just a small piece. That's the reason that I don't make it. Happy Thanksgiving From My Family to Yours!!!! MUCH Love!
Hello, I like your video. I'm from Port Allen. Live in California now. I remember pecan candy(we used a different word. I can't spell it, I just know how it sounds.) I'm going to use your recipe to make some pecan candy for my family this Thanksgiving.
Hello, My Homie from the Boot! It's really good and creamy, rich! Did you call it pralines? That's what some still call in. I'm going to try another recipe and post it so that you can have options and let you know which I like the best. I was just in California this summer for the first time. I really had a good time. I just wished I could have stayed a little longer. Let me know how your candy comes out. Just make sure that you use a pan that is non stick and that you let it get hard enough. That is usually the hardest part. Thanks for watching my video, trusting my recipe and commenting! I appreciate you! MUCH Love!
Hello MY Family From The Boot! Isn't this candy good! I have a friend who can eat an entire batch by herself. Thanks for viewing and commenting! I appreciate the support! It's ALL Love! Happy Holidays From My Family to Yours!
When you cook the candy a little it will be brown not dark brown but brown. I don't use vanilla in making candy and it still taste great. Thanks for the video!
Sounds great! I LOVE adding vanilla to mine. My dad used to bring home some from his job that the lady put almond extract and the candy was really light brown, but AWESOME! I have a new recipe that I will be sharing soon. STAY tuned! MUCH Love!

I've never used condence milk when making my pralines, but this looks delicious! Can you use brown surgar instead of white? 🤔 n you use brown sugar instead of white? 🤔
Hi! I'm sure that you can. I might actually try it the next time I make it. If you do make some, please let me know how it comes out. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I appreciate it! Happy Holidays! MUCH Love!
Hi! Yes, I have seen a few as well. I watched, but I can't remember if they added butter or not. There are many recipes for some good pecan candy or pralines, as some call it. But, I have found that the condensed milk gives it a smooth, creamy consistency and it literally melts in your mouth. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I appreciate you! MUCH Love! Happy Holidays!!!
Hi! It is a Magnalite pot that is over 20 years old. www.amazon.com/Magnalite-Classic-8-Piece-Aluminum-Cookware I notice that they have changed the handles, which is awesome, because the handle is HOT! I paid 59$ for my set all of those years ago. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Hey, Sis! I used to used Carnation or Pet Evaporated milk with 2 cups of sugar. You can use 1 cup of brown sugar and one cup of granulated sugar, too! You add your vanilla extract right before removing from heat and placing in your dish. I like to use cookie sheets. I have also seen people use parchment paper and just place them on the counter. Thanks for your support! I appreciate you! MUCH Love!
Hi! They are not grainy! They literally melt in your mouth! I posted a short that gives a close-up view of a piece of one. thanks so much for watching and commenting! I appreciate the support! MUCH Love!
Hey, sis! YES! This candy is so good, but it is a lot of work! They are so creamy and literally melt in your mouth. I didn't make much because I didn't want to be tempted. Thanks so much for your continued support! I appreciate you! MUCH Love!
Hi! I most likely rushed through. OR, you can actually melt the sugar in the beginning and then add the milk. It's a good recipe. Please let me know if you like it if you make it. Thanks for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Hey, sis! We call them puh-cons! LOL! I love the candy, but can only eat just a little. It is so much work in preparing. I actually put too many pecans in here, though. Next time, I will chop them and not keep them whole like that. Thanks so much for your continued support, Sis! I appreciate you! MUCH Love!
Hi! You definitely need a good pot. A non-stick pot might work. I just love using the Magnalite. I have also used the square copper pot, too! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I appreciate you! MUCH Love!
