Basically an egg custard. This was my favorite dessert as a child. Add a little extra caramel sauce and you've got flan! I used to add nutmeg on top. Delicious!
It really looks like a basic pudding recipe. But with the burnt sugar, would have a butterscotch flavor. Very much like how I make butterscotch pudding. Same ingredients. Delicious!

Aqui no Brasil usamos os mesmos ingredientes, exceto a baunilha. Chamamos de gemada. Mudamos a forma de fazer. Primeiro "queimamos" o açúcar pro caramelo, em seguida colocamos o leite e deixamos ferver, após a gema batida e servimos quente com canela em pó por cima. É otimo para os dias frios e "santo" remédio para resfriado

Это типа карамельного пудинга. Мы делали, но у нас получился более жидкий. Видимо зависит от величины яиц. Спасибо за рецепт. 😊

Basically an egg custard. This was my favorite dessert as a child. Add a little extra caramel sauce and you've got flan! I used to add nutmeg on top. Delicious!

It really looks like a basic pudding recipe. But with the burnt sugar, would have a butterscotch flavor. Very much like how I make butterscotch pudding. Same ingredients. Delicious!
