Yes please. I would love for you to film the covered shop areas in Paris. My husband and I discovered a few of these when we were in Paris in 2017 and fell in love with them!
My favourite Covered Passageway is Passage Jouffroy, which has the oldest Toyshop in Paris…They have Models of Fromage shops, Mercerie Shops and Boulangerie Shops, they are miniature! I spent 4 weeks of covid lockdown making the Fromage Shop. I made all the miniature cheese, about 1 cm. using modelling clay…..I have it in the middle of my Kitchen dresser.
I arrived in France 34 years ago and there used be a discotheque (in the Biblioteque sense of the word) in the basement of the Pompidou Center. I taught myself French listening to records of French songs (pre Internet days) I worked in the Marais for 4 years and often strolled over for lunch around Les Halles….and yes there was always watering spouting in the fountain back then !
Absolutely! In Adelaide, Australia we have a charming shorter quaint version.....a 'mini' taste of Paris. As I was only in Paris for a week I missed most arcades. My mission to visit 7countries in 7 weeks plus trace a 2x French grandfather who came to settle in Aust in 1830's was hectic.so how fabulous I will see the arcades from 17,000 kms away. Merci 💐
I really enjoyed this one. I love what you’re doing in September, such a fabulous idea. All the shots you took us in Paris were so nice to see. I love Big Love, I eat there every time I go to Paris.
I so want to come and see your place and Paris. If my health gets better and I'm able to walk, I plan on doing this. It's very exciting, I've been wanting to do this for years. Thank you so much for your videos that show us the beauty of France.
So exciting, Marloes - your French Country Life Experience! I will start fattening my piggy bank today in hopes of joining! It coincides with my planned 90-day trip to France starting in Sept. And my birthday! PS. Yes - a Passages of Paris tour!
Loved this tour of an area of Paris I have never spent time in...but that's part of the beauty of Paris...all the wonderful nooks and crannies of Paris. Merci! 😊
I so enjoyed your video from the first moment to the last, Marlous. Thank you dearly for taking us on this beautiful journey through one of my favorite cities in the world. There were definitely quite a few places and shops that I was not familiar with... BTW great idea to organize your September French Country Life Experience. I wished I didn't live so far away...
8 minutes after releasing the video you had 11 likes. I’m number 12. I like those numbers. Shows your hard work is appealing to even more people. Come on 100,000!
Thanks! Oh yes, my youngest son is monitoring my subscriber count daily. He told me that when you hit 100.000 you get a silver play button. He’s got his mind set on that, especially since he asked me if he could hang it in his room when I get it and I told him yes. So heartwarming to see him following so closely and cheering when the subscriber count grows 💜
Fantastic idea!! Yay! In September I will be 79… Will I be too old to join your group?? Thank you! I’ll check out your link!! Soooo exciting! Hope to meet you then..☺️
Hi! If you’re able to walk a little bit you should be fine and you’re very welcome to join us. We will be doing everything by car and distances in Beaune are very short, we’ll walk max 2 miles a day on only one day that’s a little busier. Otherwise we’ll be able to park our car in front of shops etc. Let me know if you have any questions!
Please film the covered walkways for us. Love seeing all the little hidden gems of Paris. The one store was just incredible. I would have bought way to much there. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Marloes nice experience traveling to visita Paris such a lovely city and yes I would love to enjoy the covered shops must be interesting no dout Paris is amazing with it's buildings shops food etc etc thanks for sharing take care and safe trip back home waiting for next video regards❤❤❤
Oh my goodness, Marloes! What a gorgeous video! The experience you have curated for September is exquisite and as I mentioned in a comment elsewhere , I would definitely be there if not for other travel plans I have for that time. Thank you for showing us parts of Paris-the city is so lovely and unique! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Loved the video, thank you so much. And what a marvelous idea, 4 days experiencing everything we love seeing in your videos. Good luck with it, i just know it's going to be brilliant :)
Oh yes please ,I'd love a tour of the Parisien passages. Your French country life experience in September sounds so appealing. I would jump,at the chance if my money wasn't tied up in something else. I wish you all the best with it.
I was lucky enough to rent an apartment for six months in Paris to have a break from Normandy. The fountain had no water whatsoever in it. Nearby is the lovely, typically Parisian rue Quinqanpoix and not far the lovely bistrot 'Le Cochon a l'Oreille' ornate with tiles representing The Halles of old....Six months were great, but I could have done with another six as there is so much to see and do in the 'capitale'. Yes the Marais is great, but I love the area of the Batignolles in the 17th, and around the Canal St Martin where I stayed. Les Enfants rouges market is named as nearby there was a boarding school for poor pupils who had to wear a red uniform. The passages in Paris are interesting and numerous, I loved the Vero-Dodat one, the Princes, Vivienne and the Panoramas. I really enjoy your videos, I think our vide greniers, brocantes, depots ventes offer better value than the magasin you showed us. 39eu for a jug wow!
Hi Greg! I think you’re talking about the book? Recipes are in ml and grams so you would either need to convert them by googling how many cups say 200g of flour is and 150ml of milk or try to get a simple digital kitchen scale and a measuring cup in ml (size 500ml should be fine). Hope this helps!
Unfortunately, even if your guests from outside France learn how to make baguettes, they won’t turn out, because the flour is the secret ingredient. We had a bread baker here in Adelaide, Australia, being a French baker here to make baguettes and they learned sadly that we cannot replicate a French baguette.
Yes there may very well be differences in flours! I have a super easy recipe for baguettes in my book that people from around the world have tried and tested and from the feedback I’ve received they turned out great!
@@FrenchCountryLife Your recipe is fine. It's definitely the flour.
