Always a calming joy to relax and watch you create. Bonjour
I have been watching and listening to interesting researchers on the old world architecture. One of their observations is the doors are gigantic and rooms so cavernous that these structures were made by and for a much larger species than the height we are today. There are many archived painting and photos of people 8 -14 feet tall. Once these researcher's open your eyes you never look at anything the same and it's all more exciting.
Your work always comforts my eyes and heart! How calm and cosy life you live! Thanks for sharing all this 😊
My pleasure!
I don’t think I’ve commented before and it’s long overdue. ( I watch on TH-cam my big TV so one can’t comment there) Your videos are a comforting delight. I love the life you have created. It’s my ideal. I was struck by your comments about leaving your home country. How it was hard to find enough space and quiet without road noise ect. We experience this too in Oregon. My husband wants to retire in two years to France. He is studying the language like his life depends on it. I had it in school but oh my you forget when no one speaks it around you. I love how you do things and love to grow your flowers and anything you can. Your new kitchen is perfection! Love the windows as pantry doors! So you cauterize your hydrangeas with boiling water first, to keep them longer? I must try this. By the way you looked amazing in your seasonal closet try on, clothes from a previous video! Bravo.
I hope someday we may meet, perhaps at a stay in your b and b. My husband and I are both Jazz musicians so we hope to find a town small enough for peace but big enough to meet other musicians. Take care, your blogs season my morning with hope before I try and watch the daily news on TH-cam. Looking forward to your winter scenery in Burgundy. ♥️
Thank you so much! I used to sing jazz standards and Olav and I met at a jazz workshop in Italy!
Hope you’ll find your perfect dream home in France. Keep investing in learning the language, it is crucial for feeling at home here! Kudos to your husband for his efforts!
And yes I cut the stems of the hydrangeas and put them in boiling water for 20 seconds. They stay really beautiful this way and dry beautifully!
@@FrenchCountryLifethank you for the tip!
@@FrenchCountryLifeyes I saw you sing in the short clip you showed! Beautiful voice♥️

This time spent with you while sipping tea accompanied by a slice of banana bread (made by me), has been the best part of my day. Thank you for sharing these precious moments and reminding me of the joy of mindfulness😍
My pleasure! Now I want to eat banana bread 😂
I love all of the flowers that you still have growing there. Your videos have inspired me this summer. Your voice is so quiet and calming. I love what you do. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us.
My pleasure!
I follow many people to get home inspiration, and I have to say that no matter how many kitchens I love, yours is always my favorite. So curated, uncluttered, and has such an old world feel while being totally modern. Just perfection!
Thank you so much!
Lovely as always. Love the peaceful, quiet style with the flowers and the baking.
Love this poetry of yours..We all need to slow down a little and just be amazed. Have a nice time!
Thank you!
You should be really proud of the beautiful filming at the start of this video.....stunning footage 👌Des souvenirs pour moi.
I borrowed those shots from my talented husband! 😇
@@FrenchCountryLife 😆Well, all credit to you for being so honest !
@@JVSwailesBoudicca :) I tried to fly the drone once and flew it into a tree... I prefer having the husband do it LOL but the church shot and the ones of the church until the brown cows are all his. He has a TH-cam channel as well and usually only shares footage of the building works!
@@FrenchCountryLife Who climbed the tree to retrieve your drone😅 I love all the shots he made. I will pass on your husband's channel to my carpenter husband.......but he will be a bit picky 🙄

Thank you for being here!
Hi Marloes hope doing well enjoyed the video great and fast apple crumble pie Nice tour to the market and castle enjoyed take care waiting for next blessings❤
Thanks
Beautiful flowers Marloes …. I love Autumn/ fall the colours are awesome..and your aunt is right I love lots of pepper too like the look of the carrot thing 😊
Thanks!
“That’s a lot of pepper.” Spoken like a dedicated mother-in-law! Made me giggle. First time I made a Peruvian dish for my Peruvian husband, he came into the kitchen to see how it was going and then promptly called his mother and told her what I was doing - and how it didn’t look like he remembered her doing it. Sigh. Food and family traditions - may they never be put asunder! Hahaha! Lovely video!
No worries! This was my mom and she didn’t mean to criticize, she simply noted that the dish needs a lot of pepper. ☺️
What a wonderful market!
Love all the pretty flower arrangements and all your visits to markets and pretty towns.
Thanks?
Hi, I really like your garden and scenery at the back yard. Thanks for sharing.

Me too!

☺️
Thanks Marloes. Wish you had 2 videos a week. Too long to wait😊
If I had more time I’d love to create more videos!
Wow! I haven't seen putting stems into boiling water!!! I do the opposite. Ice cubes. I think it has the same concept? Making the cut flowers last longer?
That’s what I do it for indeed. They eventually dry really beautifully after doing this!
70K subs... je te félicite!
Merci!
Stunning intro. I love it ❤
Thanks! Some footage was shot by my husband with our drone and real camera

🍂
Thank you Marloes, for a lovely visit to see you prepare for your family visit. I'm intrigued by the carrot tart/pie - what is it called?
It’s a tarte tatin of carrots, normally it’s made with apples
Watching your video from India.love from my country
Thank you
That gorgeous food!!!
😋
Love your videos!
Thanks so much!
Hi Marloes. Watching you arrange you flowers and wondered why you put the hydrangeas in boiling water first. What does this do ?
It allows to keep them longer and then they dry beautifully after a few days.
@@FrenchCountryLife thanks very much. I will remember that when mine are flowering. They are just coming into flower as it’s spring here in South Africa. Have a great Sunday
How long do you put them in the hot water for
20 seconds
I wish my apple trees were mature ❤
Patience is a virtue 😂
❤
❤❤❤
Merci
@@FrenchCountryLife Merci à toi
🥰🇨🇦
That thing crawling on the hydrangea, we call those daddy long legs here. Do you have a different name there?
I honestly have no clue what we would call them here!
In dutch it's called a hooiwagen I think 🤔
Phalangium opilio in france???
@@only1dutchgirl I like that name!
Yes, daddy long legs here in Australia. The only spider I’m not scared of. They’re so delicate.
Those carved rolling pins look nice, but they don’t work! The carving is too shallow so there is really no pattern transferred to the dough. Very disappointing.
I have never tried them. I guess it also depends on the dough?
Enjoy the videos but always need to mute the background music and keep checking to hear if you are talking. Music is not peaceful like the landscape or what you are doing.
