Ends a mission with a repair bay without repairing, goes into the next mission with sliver of armor on the CT, switches mech for 5 sec goes back blames the NPCs underling. Classic baradul ;P
Glad to see I'm not the only one who bangs their head on keyboard watching him play. LOL I particularly like watching him sell parts or mechs he needs to complete cantina missions and then immediately drops the mission he just sold the parts/mech for.
He did keep saying that the Battlefield only had the one repair bay (that he burned trying to fix the clan ERPPC). But yeah, I was thinking 'how is he not noticing that the Charger is trashed' after he forgot to repair it.
That was even a new Top Screw up for Baradul LOL He played the Banshee for like 2 Minutes at the start of the Mission and didnt even notice that his Damage Indicator is red and orange. How much of a tunnel vision can you have LOL Also only 6 Days of Work on the Bashee with Weapon Replacement + Repair in a conflict zone alone, was a hard indicator that something was off. Other Things i noticed. He goes for Salvage and then Picks up the Mechs that are almost completely destroyed without Engine and Gyro, even though these Parts are so expsenive that it would sometimes be cheaper to buy a working one xD And when he did build that LRM Monster and upgraded it just to ignore the great Clan Tech L-TAG Laser i was also slapping my head into the table.
He's not forgetful as much as he's constantly following the guideline of "keep it moving, the audience needs rapid choices to keep their attention." So he's not following the typical min/max checklist that many of us use -and he almost NEVER re-loads after making any kind of mistake, he's a self-imposed hardcore player. Also, he doesn't spend time reviewing the video and editing cuts & replacements for normal goofs, he's more of a streamer that does one take of everything.
Especially buy & breakdown the lowest powered weapon of each type (SRM2, AC2, MGs, sLaser). Gauss and PPCs are very very pricey to buy just to breakdown, for me that's endgame upgrading.
i found that i should NEVER buy class 0 weapons to breakdown .. instead buy class 4 MG's, Small lasers, SRM 2's to breakdown as they are more cost effective... PPC;s however are a money sink ....
@@benf9531 he did, but he stopped the work to put in the Laser as a replacement and then forgot to hit repair again i think. Its not good to run a merc unit when you are this easily confused all the time.
The 3+ quality medium and small lasers are totally worth buying to salvage. You get a lot of parts. I get PPC scrap by picking salvage mechs and pulling them out.
Something you can do for quick cash is build out a fast mech (cicada is my go to with a supercharger and 360xl) and do recon missions. The high rating ones pay through the nose and you can blitz through all the recon points without fighting much. Pairs excellently with light and airy eurobeat tracks. Oh and there is a hotkey to manually sensor sweep, default is left bracket
Time to do some house keeping Baradul ;) Disassemble all those T0 weapons for their components. In my current playthrough I'm buying all the cheap T0 I can find just for turning it into a pile of repair/upgrade bits. Yeah, it sucks when you loose a kitted out weapon system but overall the benefit of running missions faster outweighs it. Love the channel dude!
and you forgot to build the banshee. you really lucked out on the variant there. i mean if ypu can build the 4ac2 + PPC or LL in there the dps could be quite good
It might be an idea to look at other mechs tracers. If they’re firing into the sky, just take a look up. The sky was swarming like an angry hornets nest!
As people have said you need to treat weapons differently keep less higher quality ones and then disassemble the trash ones to get parts to keep them operational.. Dismantle tier 0 option at workbench is your friend...! Enjoying you finding your feet in this merctech is great but takes ages to get used to! I'd also recommend the sounds of succession mod makes gun sounds much nicer and is merctech approved!
So, the letter codes on the planet descriptions that you were curious about toward the end of the video are taken from the Tech Manual. They indicate the types of items you're likely to find in the market. A = very common, B = common, C = uncommon, etc etc. This allows you to see at a glance if a planet might have higher te h stuff if it has E and F equipment. If you have the BT Tech Manual, the codes are on pg. 287.
You need to learn to pay attention. On multiple occasions you've either not repaired or rearmed after a mission or before a mission then blamed the ai on it.
bara your forgat to repair you charger for that mission so thats why it was half dead already lol also that charger has destroyed clan double heat sink in leg still so check you mech throughly and don´t go fast ... also banshee wasn´t done anything lol
i ran into that "can not create workorder"-bug before. as far as i figured it out, i had to leave the last energy hardpoint empty for the order to go through and then fill it with a seperate workorder afterwards. seems like there is something a bit screwy with the weapon-hardpoints here and there.
How did you do that? im new to all of this and just got merctech and sooooo excited the Mauler and Warhammer is my Fav mechs and then i just saw a Devastator which seems to be an upgraded Warhammer!!!!!
you can turn of the base alarms now. dont know if that something new. but i found it in the options yesterday when i got annoyed AF.. and when you press F10 it opens up a menu in the mech that shows you what is damaged on your mech. internals and externals :)
Cantina end up broken a lot when mods get involved. Stuff never gets on the lists for what the mission counts I think, like a 'kill 3 Spiders' mission won't count a mod-added variant. It could be some other reason, but that sort of thing happens a lot in my experience.
i think the longer u keep the PPCs overcharged, the higher is the chance that they break, so best to keep an eye on the charge meter and shoot as soon as its full(?) atleast that would make sense, and it means so long as u dont hold them overcharged to long, u should still be able to overcharge them, just keep an eye on the charge meter lol and try to keep in mind that u have manual cooling to flush lol
Given that you can store full mechs in cold storage, think that might be a way for you to do those massive multi missions, along with getting a larger crew
Urb101 is a great mech. Especially the variant with 2 ballistic and 2 energy (maybe they all have those points?). 2 gauss and 2 ppc. This setup does get a little boring, but it is a head shot monster (not to mention you can just core the hell out of mechs).
The ammo thing is driving me mad. I've had two uac20 clan guns for a week of real time now and just can't find the ammo for them. Although I dont see the ammo depots that Bara sees so I'm not sure the mod is installed right!
The ammo system stopped me playing it was so annoying. I don't mind paying for it as upkeep like in roguetech, but constantly running around trying to find what bins you need in a list of 500 different horribly named items is just awful tedium. I really like everything else in the mod, but wish there was an option to squash all the variants back down to a couple (AC5/UAC5/LBX5 ect.) instead of having a dozen different mm options for just "AC5's" and having to hunt down exactly what ammo mm you need.
@@WhitehelmSucks The different shell calibers are actually true to the original so much that it is the most thing to like about this. What actually needs to happen is some kind of auto option where you can sellect different ammo bins you wanna buy on a planet, whenever you visit/end a mission (recheck if new ammunition is available). It is so nice to see lower caliber AC 5s that fire faster than higher caliber AC 5s with just more punsh for less reload speed.
not sure what your config for this play though is.. but i started a similar setup and it took me 5 years (Game time) before i got my first keepable salvage mech.... it was a 40 tonner... i played ANOTHER 7 years (Game time for a total of 12 years) before i got my first HEAVY mech....i will say ,However,... a Whitworth with dual clanner SSRM 6's and 4 clan ER Med. lasers is freaking devastating
Hi Baradul :) could i ask you for your mod load order ? because i get very often some crashes with these mods. would be very nice of you. greetings from bavaria ;)
How about you start adding 1 or 2 Reserve Mech Pilots that are also good to the unit. You send your pilots to Training for like 100 or more days, and then cant use them, they get fatigued or injured and you dont have a replacement with the right skills.
That Rifleman is just garbage. I keep saying to bring the Wolverine instead. Every mission where they were both on the battlefield at the same time the AI did well over twice the damage over that Rifleman.
You are wasting tonnage on engines. If you have an 80 ton Charger and put in a 300 Vlar, it is a waste. To make an 80 ton mech walk 3, you need an 80x3 engine (240). To make it walk 4 you need a 320....etc.
Ends a mission with a repair bay without repairing,

Barra, you need to disassemble all your 0 items and even buy them to build your part pile to upgrade the tier of the weapons you keep.
I don't understand why he won't disassemble them. He doesn't use them... Just keeps them for no reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

you forgot to repair the chargers armor and jumped into mission with a red armor torso
Yeah, you (Baradul) removed the broken PPC, but never hit repair/rearm.
+2 on this

Breaking PPCs... for SCIENCE!!! :D
23:25 Actually the Charger looked like that from the beginning, as you didn't repair it.
100% correct I watch him go in at beginning of op with considerable armor damage
I love this series! I've been counting the hrs since last episode
Should have taken the Griffin and Vindy from 2nd battle. Both had PPC's you could have dismantled.
Also, Charger has a dead heatsink.

Flak ammo seems to do little against mechs, but it absolutely shreds aircraft and vehicles. It feels like it gets a bonus vs them for sure.
I think it’s double to aircraft, half to mechs, and not sure about vehicles.
Well, yes. Flak literally stands for anti-air cannon in german.
I'd be amazed if it had any effect on mechs lol
and you forgot to build the banshee. you really lucked out on the variant there. i mean if ypu can build the 4ac2 + PPC or LL in there the dps could be quite good
I think my last build on a 3e was using YAML, but it was 4 Med Rifles and (I think) 3 L Chem Lasers. It wasn't a dps king, but quite a delete button
Wow! The 100 t Urban Assault Mech (UMA - R101) is already in the game! It was inspired by Tex. The modders are awesome!!
Is this part of Merctech? Because i want a devastator soooooo bad
It might be an idea to look at other mechs tracers. If they’re firing into the sky, just take a look up. The sky was swarming like an angry hornets nest!
BTW... the coolant flush can be remapped to what ever else in the options, its just U for default makes a BIGGG differences using that doesnt it lol

I did my RFL-3N as a pure left side build. I got a XL260C in salvage and then threw in a Gauss and 2x PPC. Fun little sniper.

Q for other MW players - is the thing where cantinas never complete so there's never any upgrades available just a Baradul thing?
Cantina end up broken a lot when mods get involved. Stuff never gets on the lists for what the mission counts I think, like a 'kill 3 Spiders' mission won't count a mod-added variant. It could be some other reason, but that sort of thing happens a lot in my experience.

You got a busted double in the charger man
am I seeing things or did you miss you have a broken double sink on your charger you didnt replace?
I fucking actually spat my drink out when there was just a casual mech called "grand dragon". In Kurita space no less...

18:56 Charger CT was already red because you didn't repair it.
Woohoo Merctech MW5
Perhaps higher quality PPCs(in terms of tier) dont crit out in the same way?
Streak missles do not fire without a lock. Once locked, none of the missles miss. All are guaranteed to hit. No wasted ammo.

It was really lucky you got a Rifleman set to anti air right before this mission.

Basically it's how well to do a planet is.
HOW do i get a Devastator? i want one soooo bad and didnt know they existed until i saw this just now
i was thinking about getting this mod but i dont think my pc can handle the missions with 30 enemies at once
soooo...what happened to the twitch streams B?
I hope Piratetech adds the maddog aka Vulture
👍
Luckily that you didn't meet the original Devastator with double gauss double PPC.
there are so many enemies now with the mod updates my pc can't run it anymore, performance has gone down significantly.
