Bara, this isn't a true tested workaround to the MG bug, however: A couple of people have said that by moving to the spot on the map where the sound originates, and then stepping through all the zoom levels, whilst giving enough time for the sound loop to stop; may work. Can't say I've had a chance to test that, but I did see a few people report it works for them. Might be worth a try off camera!
I don't know how the sound files in the mod are handled internally but. I imagine just replacing the sound file with a sound file with no sound at all could work. You won't have any sounds from mgs. But all the others should work
I wonder if some kind of a trigger could be added to Roguetech, where every time the turn of a unit starts, it scans for any running weapon sound effects and shuts them down. Something like that could work around the machine gun sound bug. I have zero understanding of the game’s code or what parts of it can be modded or patched
I run multiple units with Vulcan's and only very rarely run into the sound bug. I don't know what I'm doing differently. I do pair my Vulcan's to fire together (typically I use 3 of them), and they fire last in the weapons list. I believe from your PC upgrade a while back, you are running a better PC than mine, so i don't think that's it. I do typically pair my Vulcan's with Disco lasers and/or MMS. I use mine mostly for tank busting.
i think the audio bug happens every time you get cpu lag while playing the game but even on a high end pc the game just stutters so unless running 128gb of ram with a good cpu it might just always happen

When a new force enters the battle field and you can attack even if it is a poor attack chance. Attacking will distract it from the convoy.

Plasma weapons are apparently sighted using potatoes. I’ve never managed to hit anything reliably even with maxed pilots.
