Welcome to our first Overlanding Escape Episode, where we adventure the Limpopo region, loosely following the Old African Ivory route, on a magic 16 day trip of good times, great locations and impressive African wildlife.
This was a great trip, an adventure where we found the beauty of South Africa and ourselves. Camaraderie and machines come together to tackle this 3000 kilometer adventure.

Stunning close ups of precious wildlife, so grateful for cameras and NOT guns. Really do appreciate your mindful, careful driving, aware that at any moment, wildlife could cross your path and also especially like, the real trials and tribulations of driving. N.S.E.W. in South Africa no where's 'best', every corner of this glorious land of mountains, waterfalls, rivers, coastline, deserts, flora and fauna, outstrips anywhere else found on Earth. PROTECT. You guys are on to something here. It is nice to overland with SA being put back on the map. The blouberg nature reserve is something else. A must for 2021. Thank you gentlemen and do more Provinces before you go to Namibia or Zambia.

Thank you! I love what you are doing. My wife and I purchased a home on a reserve outside of Hoedspruit and plan to relocate/semi-retire in 2023 (from the US). We've been fortunate to have a done a bit of overlanding in Southern Africa and can't wait to do it much more frequently. Maybe we will see you at a campsite one day! Cheers.

Ouks, I'm hoping to see more from your channel. I am absolutely loving every minute of your adventures. In 1996, I was in Venda and came across a fallen Boabab tree. I reckon it must have been well over 5 hundred years old. I didn't have a camera or anyone with me. Climbing on top of that and watching the early night sky is a memory that I can never forget. Anyway, a little side story there for you guys! Keep it coming!

How much the African tour cost you
I can’t wait to get over there and overland. I’ve just looked through the comments and everybody loves your work so maybe there’s something wrong with me . I thought it was good, but I really don’t care how pretty you and your car is , and yes story telling is important but for the first half of the video all I saw was you guys and your vehicles, but I got the impression you were driving through some beautiful green bush land of which I only saw from your vehicle ? we go overland because we like seeing kilometres of nothing, sometimes nothing ( green bush ) is beautiful sometimes rock formations are beautiful ? Maybe I’m just weird. Anyway all the best for your future adventures.
Like the tine the ranger guy took the off road route to the gate. Wld have been better to see the road he was battling, not his face!!
🤣🤣🤣 Ranger guy here, its not as easy as you might think. To film everything just isn't possible. The sun was going down quickly and I had to get to the gate. It closed at 6 pm and it was 5:45pm. How can I stop, get out the car, set up camera, frame the shot, and film from the outside, all of this whilst trying to get somewhere before the gate closed. We are trying, and would appreciate a little more understanding from you. In retrospect an outside shot was needed, and I did want to, but alas, some you have to let go. Cheers, Ranger guy
@@OverlandingEscape My point was, just turn the same camera that is in your hand to face the road so we see the "tough road" you're talking about. Appreciate all the work and videos you post. Enjoy your day.
