Honestly, I believe this trip was the most adventure, and a true test of your limits as a group, and of course, the amount of trust in your friendship... I can't find a better... I follow all 3 of you, and watched this journey from all your perspectives... It was epic. Thank you for the awesome insides
Blimey. 2000 miles to cross over to Namibia -just for starters. That would take me from the tip of Scotland to Istanbul. Still, as per usual, a fantastic overview of your trip and great entertainment in its own right. Wish I was there.
A suggestion for your next trip Rather stay at Epupa Camp (slightly further east than where you guys were) !. Stunning campsite (not so on top of one another) They also serve lovely meals which can be pre-ordered. We also went up to Kapika Waterfall Lodge for sundowners and a meal with an amazing view of the river and falls.
What a fantastic production. I have watched your other and Ed's videos already, so am familiar with the trip. I loved your entire production. Super well done...I sadly concur that NWR is nowhere near Sanparks levels....
Really enjoyed your video Chris. That Van Zyls pass was crazy. Cant see how anyone could enjoy that bit of hell and Ed took his trailer thru with no brakes, skill and luck. Wow. Wonder how many new grey hairs? The body flexing broke Ed's radiator and maybe cracked your hinges that broke later. I think I'll avoid that part of Nam. I did however (25 years ago) take a Citi Golf over a pass south of Windhoek. I was too far to turn back and I made it thru but it makes me cringe just thinking about it. A bit disappointing to see the facilities in Etosha have deteriorated. They used to be good. Cheers
i trully love this, you guys are a reall worriors, this is true way of fulfilling all desires of your wishes, how can one join you,i trully admire such adventures.
i thought i was just gonna watch 2mins of this but i found myself finishing the video..... Great great video from u guys. u had a lovely adventure.... Just curious, arnt u guys afraid of being kidnapped or something?
Thank you Chris. Such a great video/movie. Really enjoyed it! What time if year did you guys go? Planning a trip next year. Have little kids with us. Do you have recomendations for a time of year to travel with kids?
Hi Chris, thanks for the great work you are doing! After watching this many times, I just saw that it took you 12 hours from Khama to Maun? We are planning that trip in September. Is that the normal travelling time between the two?
Very nice video. Julle ouens ry darm maar lank en ver n dag. Vir my 7ure absolute max a day of as jy teen 4pm nognie n kamp plek het nie, stop ek net daar waar ek is en slaan kamp op. Nice trip ouens.
Thanks Jordan! The wildlife is great but the campsites (and the corrugated roads) aren’t, I’m afraid. I’d suggest maybe camping outside the park and then going in for day visits. Worth seeing at least once. I wouldn’t stay longer than 5 days.
Yup, these BFG KO2’s are rubbish (made in Thailand I found out after the fact), 265/65R17. My suspension is Ironman 4x4 foamcell pro shocks and heavy duty coils. I usually drop pressure to around 2 bar on roads like that but these corrugations were next level!
Maybe grab yourself a Tracks4Africa paper map of Namibia or digital version for Basecamp. The D3707 goes in various directions in that area. You can bypass some of the bad sections you see in this video fortunately 👍
Depends, Etosha is expensive for international visitors. Private camp costs vary but it’s usually around N$300 - 500 pppn depending on your nationality. www.etoshanationalpark.org/times-fees
@@kevinpickering9812 okay thanks, haven’t tested that scenario before. Casting on Android I presume? The editing software is pretty good at leveling audio and I test on desktop, TV and surround but I’ll try test casting in future as well
The TH-cam algorithm seems to prefer long videos lately so I thought I'd create a feature-length film of our Namibia adventure. Enjoy!
Omg
Is the D3707 the only road in and out of Purros?? Hell no, I'll.skip Purros.then. Just me and hubby!! Nope lol.
Awesome video, Ford most reliable vehicle it seems

It's crazy to see the 100 series push the ranger with a rope!😮 Jokes aside, great video!
I know, right?
Nat Geo has nothing on you. Stellar content and production.
Thank you!

Nice longer version. Familiar with some of it. Too bad about the car trouble and nasty facilities
Guys van Zyl's pass with a trailer😮 I am sure you will never try that again....well done beaytiful docci👌

Thanks Deon! This was late Oct. Was very hot already. Winter is better but evenings get really cold on the other hand so maybe Sep?
@@GetOutGO Thanks for your reply, keep Overlanding!
What time of the year did you do this trip. the harsh environment is just breathtaking.
This was in October. It is stunning, especially the Marienfluss!

🎉🎉
That steering rack of the 100 series happened to keep as well, a weakness of these cars?
Ed had work done at a not-so-great mechanic, this guy fitted the wrong rack-ends that probably led to the failure
Hi Christoff- great episode, is the Ethosa NP worth a visit? And what would you recommend a length of stay should be?
Thanks Jordan! The wildlife is great but the campsites (and the corrugated roads) aren’t, I’m afraid. I’d suggest maybe camping outside the park and then going in for day visits. Worth seeing at least once. I wouldn’t stay longer than 5 days.
@@GetOutGOThanks 😊
14 hours for 65km, that's what you get for having a Ford in the group 😄
What suspension & tyre size and pressure are your running on corrugated roads? You seem to be really shaking about- I know about the BFG AT’s…
