The Making of Devil May Cry is a retro gaming documentary about the history and development of Devil May Cry for the PlayStation 2. Originally conceived as a sequel to Resident Evil, director Hideki Kamiya had his own ideas, and turned it into the action blockbuster we know today.

a hint that his name comes from the divine comedy could be that his brother is named "Vergil", the english for "Virgilio", who is the spirit that guides Dante (the writer) in his journey through hell and heaven
