For the first boss in devil may cry one you don't even have to do all that that you've done. Easiest way to defeat him It's quite literally just to sit there and constantly spam stinger right into his face You don't even have to turn on Devil trigger and if you are quick enough you won't even really taken a damage either. The first Devil May Cry is vastly overshadowed by its later incarnations (for good reason), but this game is always worth playing, warts and all. It's the start of the Extreme/Character Action subgenre and has perhaps the best atmosphere of any of the games, and its core gameplay is still not too shabby. Also, while it was a translation error in the first game, it IS Nelo Angelo canonically. You'll understand why it perma-stuck as that by the time you get to 4.
Oh, interesting. I did a little bit of looking into it while writing the script and only found that it was a translation error (on top of "Nelo" sounding a little goofy compared to "Nero"), so I'll look forward to that whenever I get to 4.
@@Daistri I'm going to be honest. The name Nelo Angelo was never actually said in any of the games, but it shows up in the enemy files in DMC1 for the boss (they are in game), and the enemy files for certain enemies for DMC4 (I believe in the Library section in the mission select menu). Like I said, it WAS a translation error, since Nero Angelo literally translates to "Dark Angel", but, yeah, due to the error and likely due the fact that a certain character exists, DMC4 ended up keeping the error and making it the canon name. I BELIEVE DMC5 also did this, but I'd have to look through the Enemy files there as well.
@@MILDMONSTER1234 Ehhhh... I love DMC1 and all, but I disagree. DMC1's enemies are great, but I think DMC5's selection is much better (the best, in my opinion). Further, it has the flaw of not mixing any of it's encounters, so it becomes incredibly simple to deal with your foes the moment you see the first one in the room. Speaking of gameplay, DMC1 also suffers from two gameplay issues. The first is that it's combat is much more simple and limited than other entries (except 2. That one was even more simple and limited). The second is it suffered the "swimming curse" that it didn't shake off until 3. DMC1, however, does have the absolute best atmosphere in the series. Really sells the "gothic action horror" vibe better than any other game in the series. I sometimes just boot up one of my copies just to wander the castle and soak it in. As for DMC4, It beats out DMC1 in combat alone, while still having the third best enemy selection, second best visuals, and houses THE best boss in the series (Credo Angelo).
@@1Synner Why? Enemies in 1 are far more aggressive and have a larger variety of attacks. Frosts alone have 6-7 attacks with an aoe and ranged attacks which is more then what any enemy has in dmc3 4 and 5. And it’s not just frosts, shadows and nobodies as well. Kamiya has always been better at enemy design then itsuno (bayonetta is another example) because dmc1 is not about flashy combos like the rest of the series it’s more akin to Ninja Gaiden and Bayo especially on DMD. Most enemies in 4 only exist as passive combo fodder punching bags and not much else so much so even 5 tries to remedy this by adding enemies with anti juggle countermeasures

Tbh, I think I had the most difficulty with figuring out where to go. For a lot of fights, you can kinda cheese a lot of the hard parts with air raid. I joined dmc quite late but I started from the beginning and played through all games in release order except 2 and reboot. I really enjoyed the sense of progression I had personally through each game, and it all culminated in me being able to style hard with Dante in dmc5. I learned different skills in each game, gradually building up to dmc5 DMC1: Basic controls and moves, getting used to the lock on command, learned jump invincibility, DT DMC3: Learned each individual style and learned simple weapon switching DMC4: Learned how to style switch and more advanced weapon switching I felt amazing applying all the knowledge I learned over the past games I played in DMC5 where I really felt like I clicked with Dante and felt like a badass Devil hunter. I would recommend anyone looking into playing DMC to start with DMC1 and play through all of them. All the games are fun to play (except 2) and the sense of mastery you get is like no other.

Pretty damn good first project mate, kudos I definitely enjoyed it as a fan of the series
GRENADE ROLLING HAS ENTERED THE CHAT
3:26 WAIT WHAT?! I thought you were just supposed to run into the door
That detective nigbone reference in the beginning broke my heart 😞😭
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have literally no idea what you're talking about ✨
After I got defeated by Shadow in the first encounter, I switched to easy mode lol. I wasn't really looking for a challenge in this game
Bruh 4 Vergil fights was insane
Hey dude. Love the video. Glad to see I wasn't the only one having trouble with Mundus lol. I think Open Your Heart would also fit really well with that face emerging from a building (like Perfect Chaos in SA1) in Devil May Cry 2. Hope to see more of your content!
Aye the part when Dante goes in the thrown room is too funny 😂😂
This sneaky bastard inserted Vergil’s theme song in the 3rd nelo angelo cutscene
They are the same person lol😂
just found this and i hope you continue this type of content and i wish you the best of luck to continue growing
Open your heart in the background I see you
Sonic fans be having a blast with the background music
it's all I know
Playing the Buso Renkin intro was so based I wonder who else noticed
10:40 I love that every video about DMC1 has to make the exact same joke with this pillar. Truly, platforming is DMC's strongest suit.
Dawg I was baffled
I spend two days FOR BEAT THAT FUCKING SPIDER!
😂😂😂I beat him in 4-5 tries all you have to do is use stinger and do 1-2 hits then move immediately
Why am I watching this I’ve never played a devil may cry game before
This video’s pretty good actually
Because I'm very funny and handsome, naturally.
Thank you!
That second Nightmare made me want to break my controller.
Sometimes we all just need a break from *SWORDTRICKGUN SWORDTRICKGUN SWORDTRICKGUN*
Another SWEET DMC video I have come across by recently that reminds me of someone else I had watched that talked about DMC2 breaking people 😅but yeah this'll go right in my playlist nicely... Thank you.
12:46 yeah I completely missed that 😂 I just thought that he had similar powers to Dante and therefore could change into a human like Dante could change into a demon. I figured there might be some relation due to the hair color but it didn't really stick out to me 😅
Holy shit, this is so high quality
Thank you!
I joined dmc quite late but I started from the beginning and played through all games in release order except 2 and reboot. I really enjoyed the sense of progression I had personally through each game, and it all culminated in me being able to style hard with Dante in dmc5. I learned different skills in each game, gradually building up to dmc5
DMC1: Basic controls and moves, getting used to the lock on command, learned jump invincibility, DT
DMC3: Learned each individual style and learned simple weapon switching
DMC4: Learned how to style switch and more advanced weapon switching
I felt amazing applying all the knowledge I learned over the past games I played in DMC5 where I really felt like I clicked with Dante and felt like a badass Devil hunter. I would recommend anyone looking into playing DMC to start with DMC1 and play through all of them. All the games are fun to play (except 2) and the sense of mastery you get is like no other.
Good job, can't wait to see more
Idk if I was tripping but did I hear shadow academy playing in the background of the first Nelo Angelo fight?
Yeah, White Whale instrumental. I think it was taken off TH-cam, and I was lucky to find an instrumental because that's the only way I could get it in without copyright issues. I originally wanted to have "Invisible" playing instead of Bury The Light, but made the change for copyright and because BTL was more fitting
Really good video, good humor very much enjoyed. Will require DMC2 and beyond
That busou renkin theme song is a man of culture I see
YES
I love how the camera just zooms in on mundus face as he gets more and morw upset 😂
it's a damn good video, nice
Thank you!
Good stuff, gonna subscribe and hope to see more!
