Today we're going to tour two apartments in a suburb of Queretaro called Juriquilla, located about 25 minutes away from the city center. The first is a unique, 3-level rental with panoramic views of the surrounding city, including the lake and golf course. It's 3Bd/4Bath with water, internet, gas, electricity, and maintenance fee included in the rent.
The second place is a 2B/2B fully furnished lakefront apartment. In addition to all services being included in the rent like the first apartment, this one also includes a weekly cleaning.

It’s nice to know that Americans who are doing well enough can retire to a castle in Mexico with a cook and a maid and have no financial pressure of the US. Problem is it would have to be English speaking and I don’t know what their medical care is like.

Can you detail what went wrong in terms of the haircut ( hair stylist competence?/ communication snafu !) or indeed communication problems when dealing with all people in the service industries? In other words how do tourists or newbie expats " get what we want " without being disrespectful or even worse stereotype 'Ugly Americans' yet not be a patsy or pushover?

I’m giving some serious thought to moving down there! Those places are beautiful and about the same price as my mortgage now, but those are absolutely luxurious in comparison. I already speak fluent Spanish so I have that part covered at least. Now I just need to figure out how to get my family on board.

In Los Angeles, those apartments would be around $7000 a month plus utilities. It is pretty astounding how places so nice are infinitely cheaper in Mexico.

Great video! Awesome to see you both together, and enjoying what you do! This type of video is especially interesting to people like me, who will be retiring in the next few years. Queretaro looks very appealing. For me Mexico is all about outdoor living, so balconies and patios are more important than indoor space. How is Queretaro for bugs, earthquakes and volcanoes?
No quakes or Volcanos. Bugs exist but they aren’t bad.

Wow, super nice. Both those apartments would be great for a room mate situation. The first one with a 60/40 split, with 60 going to the one taking the master suite and 40 to the one taking the game room master, along with room for guests on occasion. The second straight up 50/50. Seems kind of pricey up front but you could not touch those with the same amenities in Phoenix metro for anywhere close to that. Not to mention our scorching summer heat.

When weekly cleaning is supplied by the owner they can keep an eye on their property and the tenants through the house keeper. The seat in the shower is good for older and/or disabled people, and it's very handy for leg shaving for women - Anne

14:30 In México, it's not normal to have the air circulation device that sucks moisture out when you take a shower. Instead, mexicans often open a window to remove excess moisture. This helps keep windows unfogged.
All you have to do is tie a string to the window handle and find a place to attach it to the wall and you're set

My mortgage tops $6000/mo. If my spouse was willing to relocate, I'd be on the next plane to pretty much anywhere else, but as a latino Mexico is at the top of my list.

These apartment tours are fun! Although the views and spacious balconies of the first apartment were very impressive, I was not impressed by the kitchen. There was a lot of counter space but most of it was too high to be useful workspace. I much preferred the kitchen in the second apartment. Lots of decent counter space and a dishwasher is always a bonus. Something to think about if you enjoy cooking. Nice to see you two happy and together in a video even if you’re not “together” together.
