What'd you think of my first solo vlog?? 😅It was kinda weird recording all alone after 350 videos with a partner in crime. Follow my IG to see what's going on in my life between episodes @TangerineMaddie ► Watch next: Queretaro, Mexico playlist th-cam.com/video/VJ9LsWIlK2E/w-d-xo.html
hey maddie, phil here from steemfest2! great video, great to see ya up and out again! yay! this content was great, conversational, just keep doing it, you'll be fine. keep keeping on!
I think it was perfect ! I think you should do what you feel most comfortable with. And then everything will come naturally.. I like what you are doing because this shows another part of Mexico and at the same time something that you really enjoy..
I think it’s great !! It’s very empowering as a woman to do things on our own. I have traveled alone as a woman and just about do everything on my own. As the saying goes, “if you want to get the job done right, do it yourself”
Doing things on your own can be scary at first, but it's also super rewarding. No waiting for other people or worrying what others want... just follow your instincts. It's total freedom :)
Thanks amigo! Definitely scary and intimidating, but even after this one day alone I felt so empowered to do more and branch out. It'll take some adjusting but I think I'll rock it eventually! Helps to get encouraging comments like yours ;)
Maddie, you are a strong, intelligent person and you would do great in whatever you do, including staying in Mexico and continuing with your own videos. When we first started following Tangerine Travels, my wife used to say that you “have an angel”, in Spanish; “Tiene angel”. This means that you are a charismatic person and will do great, no matter what.
Hey there Maddie, I really admire your honesty and courage. As a (just) 65 year old woman who would like to live in Mexico, and who has been following Tangerine Travels for the past two years, I just want to say how much I appreciate and admire you and Jordan. Together, and now, apart, you have provided invaluable information with class, grace, and inspiration. I will continue to follow you both. Thank you !!!
As an American woman who has lived in Mexico for almost a year, I find Mexico safe and the men much more respectful and helpful. Your Spanish is also better than mine. Also why should your dream be finished because you are alone. It is really easy to make friends with other ex-pats here and you have an advantage in having a car. You know not to go out alone at night and follow your instincts. I loved watching the video from a female point of view. Loved the yarn store, there are no other people doing any knitting or crocheting videos from Mexico in English and I have looked! Just follow your heart and listen to your head. Whatever you decide there are many people keeping you in their thoughts and sending out good vibes.
Also, as someone who did give up on her dreams, be careful if you go back without really wanting to go back-it’s much more likely that you’ll end-up tied down there in one way or another. Besides, you never know who you’ll meet or what opportunities may come your way provided you stay. It’s much more likely that you’ll end up with a life that aligns with your ideals and desires if you live where you want to & pursue what it is you are passionate about, wherever and whatever that is. Ultimately, I can tell you firsthand that regret is a terrible thing.
In my experience, making a life changing decision such as moving after a breakup, is best put on the back burner until you settle into yourself. The US is always here for you, but I'm guessing that more life experiences await you there in Queretaro. Filling the empty hole with what you contain inside after a close relationship ends, takes time and is empowering, (no matter where you are). Wishing you well & I love the crafting. Your humor is coming through the mundane, and it is refreshing.
Agree with you Susanne. This is a huge shift in your life Maddie. You will know if and when the time is right to make the next move. I divorced after 34 years of marriage and spent the 1st year doing things on my own and getting to know me. You may be surprised as to what resurfaces. My vote - Settle in and do life for awhile. I think you are an inspiration to many in this chapter of your life and someone needs to hear it.
Maddie you seam to be a strong woman keep up the good work and I hope you guys find each other again in my opinion you guys are great together. What is meant to be will be good luck
Everything you have always loved about Mexico is still there for you!! I’m not trying to minimize your heartbreak but if you leave Mexico, I suspect that you will miss it. All my best Maddie 🌺
It's funny how interesting and creative we can be when we start focusing on ourselves.. Sometimes we loose ourselves in relationships focusing way to much on the other person 💜
Love your videos and your spirit. Your Spanish is better than many Mexican Americans I know here in the states. It is really inspiring to see you driving around Mexico. Thanks for all your knowledge and experiences. I am Mexican American and makes me happy to see Americans enjoying Mexico.
Yours was one of the sites I watched that gave me the confidence to move to Querétaro at this stage in my life. I am 69 years young and don’t have a support system here, yet. But gradually I am meeting people who I know I can count on in an emergency. I have never felt unsafe, even walking my dog after dark .I also have two cats- and gradually this is beginning to feel like home.
Congrats on ur move. I also have been inspired to move to MX because of these videos! I can live well and continue on having adventures in MX unlike what my retirement experience would b in the USA. Can’t wait for 2022! Enjoy ur adventures!
I started Rocket because I too am inspired and considering. I am 59 and solo. I do not know anyone in Mexico but you guys make very simple to consider what the options are for people with varied interests and lifestyle goals.
Wow! I am a single older woman now living in Florida. I think about moving to Mexico since I am living on SS and anticipate future extensive dental expenses. Glad to know it is going smoothly for you.
Can you tell me how you traveled to Querétaro with your pets. Did you fly? Drive? That’s what’s holding me back. Also did you have. Place to stay/rent before arriving? Thank you!
I’m 65 with a dog and two cats. I want to be in Mexico in the summers, but San Miguel de Allende has captured my heart. That trip with the”family” every year will be a challenge since I have no interest in driving there but I WILL find a way. Tell us how you did it. I might do Mexico City some years as I love the vibe there too.
When I get confused/overwhelmed it is my best move to stay put and just pay attention to the voice of the universe. If there is a clear path in any direction it will reveal itself. Guard your health, mental, physical, and spiritual. You are a smart woman who knows her own mind--honor that and pray for protection. We're all cheering for BOTH of you to find your way!!!
Maddie: so proud of you! It's such a big step to get back into life after a tough breakup, and it takes time. But you're doing it, and inspiring all of us. It can feel so tempting to return to your old haunts when going through a big life transition. But I hope you will hang tight a little while. We can only go forward, never back. Bless you!
Hi Maddy! In my opinion, your first solo blog is a great success. You appeared calm and had a plan of what you wanted to accomplish. From the audience perspective, you did well. So you may have a few "tuff" decisions ahead. Take your time , avoid making them in haste. You're going to be fine. Take care, young lady. Be safe.
Noooo, becoming single isn’t a reason to go back. My advice is make sure you’re part of a like-minded community in Mexico or wherever want to you settle. Start a knitting group (?)
It is so weird feeling to be alone after being coupled up for so long but everything changes, including the weirdness and you'll find yourself, your passions and strength and will learn to enjoy your own company. After my divorce I started traveling the world on my own, including extensive travel in Mexico. I absolutely love it!! I don't say no to traveling with others and sometimes it would be nice to share a spectacular view or moment with a special person but overall I feel so incredibly free to do what I want, when I want, where I want. I so appreciate your vulnerability, breakups really are heart wrenching and head spinning and the fact that you're sharing really does resonate with so many people.
Good job! Please don’t give up on Mexico. I enjoy watching your videos, especially when you were moving around town. I love Queretaro.❣️Our last visit was just before the pandemic and I can’t wait to go back. I wish we could make it a more permanent home one day but my husband is not as adventurous as I. Enjoy this new freedom to explore and discover your wonderful surroundings. You're doing great! 💖
You don't need a man to be happy. Happiness is a state of mind. Get your head right, be grateful for all that you already have. You're actually doing better than 90% of the world. btw, I've been watching you for nearly a year now and I have every confidence in you, personally, I think you're great and wonderful and so much enjoy your company.
I found the video interesting as it is showing me areas of queretaro I haven't seen or knew they had. Definitely will have to go check out the flower market for a project I want to do at my place. Don't let fear take you back to the USA. Plenty of single females manage to have a good life here in Queretaro. It isn't safe in the USA either. Just stay alert as you have in the past. You will build a support system in time.
On moving back to the USA … aside from missing videos from BOTH you and Jordan (together and/or separate) about Mexico. You both offer a lot of insight. This may or may not help you but … whatever you choose now or in the future, it doesn’t need to be permanent. Moves can be made as often as you want and finances allow. Life is fluid :)
I love seeing more of your personality and daily activities. I love handcrafts too. The older videos seemed to mainly feature lots of cafes and restaurants rather than daily life. Day to day activities and interacting with people is interesting to watch. Yarn addiction is very real so beware! Also maybe take a pottery or ceramics course?
I love crafting, knitting, etc., so more, please! I find knitting to be rather therapeutic and fun. My sister & I took a ribbon embroidery class in Mexico once and I'd like to get back into it. Regarding whether you should stay in Queretaro or go back to the US, my tip to you would be (not that you're asking me, lol) to make a list of pros and cons see which outweighs the other. Good luck and take care of yourself. P.S. I think you were looking for the word "skein" instead of spool of yarn. : )
You’re not spending the day alone Maddy, we’re hanging out with you! You could do more live posts and we really could hang out together in real time. 🥰 Fun vid.
I’ve been mostly solo for nearly a year now, since I moved to a new town during Covid. I am now used to eating alone if I see a place I want to try. I might not have before, but have no problem now. And you’re way more likable than I am so…….
Appreciate you and Jordan. Maddie, stay in queretaro for a year and have a local girl buddy to check in with daily and hang out with. If you really can’t imagine wanting the responsibility of having a child, then you are being true to yourself. You have a lovely
When I am trying to make a decision, I think about my options, see myself on both paths, and then choose the one that gives me the most peace. I find you to be intelligent, funny and full of energy. I think you will be successful whichever path you choose.
I'm the opposite. I'm so used to being solo that it feels totally normal and relaxed for me, but being with others can be awkward for me unless it's someone I know really well.
It’s so weird for me to listen to you saying “I” instead of “we”. If it’s weird for me it has to bring up all kinds of things for you Maddie. You’re doing soooo great!! Seriously! You really ARE! Breakups are hard. You’re redefining yourself. It’s work and you are making it look easy. I’m so proud of you both. Your respect for one another will keep this channel alive. 💪🏻😘
I'm so curious about your comments related to eating. I've been struggling for the last 4 years to figure out why so many foods have been making me sick (not allergic to most of them). I've seen countless doctors, including functional medicine, and no one can figure it out. Through online research, I think I've narrowed it down to histamine intolerance (which is really tricky). I eat a really restrictive diet and it helps (not cures) most of the time. I'd love to know what your symptoms were and how long it took to start to feel better once you moved to Mexico.
Great job Maddie! It is not easy being single anywhere when you haven't been so for many years. Give yourself a minimum of six months before making any decisions to move. Keep pushing yourself to go out like you did in this video and it will get easier. Maybe join a class or activity of some kind to give you the opportunity to meet new people. I enjoyed seeing the plants you chose and the pots. I also enjoyed seeing the yarn store (I would go crazy in there too 😉). It is nice to see the different types of stores and the prices. All I can say is keep it up, I will be supporting you!
Excellent advice! I'm not one to make hasty decisions, especially super impactful life decisions like jumping the border. I'll definitely be trying to branch out and try new activities to keep myself busy in the meantime. Thank you for the support Carolyn!
I loved this video including the croqueting part. It was very interesting and it makes me want to try out croqueting again. I say yes to including this kind of content. I've been a follower for awhile and I say yes to you staying in Mexico. You should continue to follow your dreams. Don't give up on them!
I absolutely loved this solo video !! 😍 I personally love everything that is yarn and plants, so it wasn’t boring at all 😂 Maddie, take your time figuring out what is the best decision for you, it both has pros and cons obviously.. i’m sure in time you will know what is the best choice 🙏🏻✨ Enjoy your weekend ! Hugs from Sinaloa 🌞 🇲🇽
It’s so obvious that you love Mexico. I recently found your videos and I love them. You’re so conversational and welcoming. I really hope you stay in Mexico.
Maddie…I love that you’ve included us in your new life. You are so precious and I love that you are taking us on this journey with you. I think you should remain where you are in Mexico but please find an expat group to align with. Hopefully you will find your “new tribe” to give you the social outlet you need. You are absolutely adorable and I think there are expats who would “line up” to have you as a part of their group. This will give you the feeling of connectedness you’ll need as you settle into your new reality. Love the crafts but want to encourage you to not let that become your escape. You are beautiful…young and free to design whatever reality you wish. Do not settle for anything/anyone who does not share your vision. Warmest wishes and loads of hugs to you…Carol P.S. health care costs are outrageous in the US…stay where you can get good medical care that will not devastate your financial health!
Love that you are talking about plants, pots, and crocheting. I myself recently started making blankets with the thicker yarn and bigger hook. Took some getting used to it. The flow of my work was just not the same. Had to laugh when you ripped out all your work. Been there done that!
By the way, the simple day to day things that you are including (like you crocheting) makes living in Mexico more relatable. Like knowing that there are very real ways an American can fit in and adapt. I like that you are sharing the down to earth activities you are dealing with. Living situations, shopping, cooking, cleaning, being lonely, even fears, and how to find help, churches, counseling, schools, libraries. All the things of real day to day life. Travel is nice but most don’t travel all the time so the nitty are gritty is helpful and refreshing.
Maddie, I completely enjoyed your video! You have such a soothing voice and you’re a pro at filming (even when you’re dropping sushi)! I think you’re very happy in Mexico, but your emotions are all over the place due to the breakup. Wait a while, don’t make any big decisions now. I’ve read that when one goes through a trauma (such as death, breakup, etc.), you should wait a good while before big decisions, I know you don’t want to be lonely, I understand, but give yourself time to adjust. Also, when you’re filming, be aware of your surroundings. I notice that you love the camera (and it loves you) but don’t let it keep you from being cognizant of what’s around you. You are so much better than you think you are. I’ll be honest and say that I really like that you can talk freely without being interrupted and you can express your own opinions more freely. Just give it time before deciding anything, keep your chin up and you’ll be fine. You’re a lovely and charming young woman; you can do anything you set your mind to. Best wishes!!!
Maddie, Follow your dreams! Any project in life is tougher at the beginning. Feel scary and blue will happen anywhere. Also, despite any biassed gender opinion, there are good and bad people every where. Been single does not require a particular address. For you been single requires good common sense at all times. Best wishes and all kind of blessings!
Hey Maddie! I actually really appreciated this video. I live in Querétaro too, and it's nice to see another woman taking about doing just regular everyday things here and what it's like for you. For example, I was thinking about taking up crocheting, but didn't know about that awesome store! Also, I love Mercado de las Flores too! It's just so nice to be inside there. But you're absolutely right, the pots are actually expensive! And I completely empathize on the driving issue. I find driving in Querétaro to be pretty darn confusing sometimes, especially the highways where you have the main road, a road going along beside it, and then many offs and ons, and also roads that go up above and down below. Not to mention people cutting in and doing whatever they want, stopping inside of the roundabouts, etc, etc. So different from the straightforward driving of the Midwest of the USA 😂 Great video. Take your time figuring out your next steps, don't rush! It will come to you.
@@susanaramirez1335 I agree it would be nice to know more women in the area. But I didn't want to be creepy or anything! I'm also in a bit of a different chapter of my life, I have a 3 month old baby and getting the hang of being a new mom. But I would for sure be open to the idea. Especially if she ever needed anything while she's here. I (along with my husband who knows more people in Mexico) would always be open to meeting and/or helping with anything.
This is interesting to watch. I can see you're going thru something rough and are still making a video for your followers. I appreciate that. I was watching your mexico city videos for pointers which were helpful for my visit last minute. Good luck and keep on keeping on... Oh, and find you a nice brown man when you're ready ;)
I have been watching your videos for a while now. I have always been impressed with how take charge and independent you are even within your relationship. You always came across to me as being fearless. You moved to Mexico, drove around the country and along the way fearlessly opened up and shared many things others would not have had the courage to share. After so many years doing things together you need practice being single. You should stay or go depending on what you want, but make the decision from strength. I have complete confidence you will be fine regardless of where you end up.
If I could I would live in Mexico and yes you’re right the food in the US causes health issues because they use so many additives and preservatives it’s all processed it’s all bad everything over there it’s more natural and fresh good for the body🥰
Hi Maddie, Yes no one seems to understand why after 34 yrs with my best friend, I find it difficult to venture into the world solo. You are really doing great my friend. Don't go back. You have us to bounce ideas off of and I do believe as so many others do here that you can start a single women's touring group or teach english, etc. So many possibilities...I KNOW it's hard, keep moving forward one step at a time. You've got this! Cheering you on from California!
I LOVED seeing you getting out there & doing a solo woman, living in Mexico video! It looks like you are having a great time, investing in things & hobbies you love. ❤❤❤ I am a single traveler & live in Merida, Yucatan 6 months out of the year & van dwell(camp) throughout the U.S.A. during the summer months. I don't want to live in fear & try not to listen to the nay sayers who haven't experienced life in Mexico as a single. You know better than anyone else what is right, good, & safe for you. Trust your intuition! Keep enjoying life!
Stay in Mexico! The fact that you are publicly revealing this new phase of challenges shows your strength and determination. I will continue to check in and watch your process. You are a bright light!
I have lived alone after being a widower for 8 years, you have to learn to live alone, to later be able to live with someone, you are young and have a long life ahead of you, you can have a new partner of course if you propose it!!
You are such an amazing young, strong, beautiful and brilliant woman. You are going through a tough journey just now. Stay put. Your love of Mexico is so strong it will get you through. You are among the worlds most lovely people. Good luck. I’ve been following you since you started. Keep it up. 💗
I forgot to say that I love that you’re crocheting as I just started back myself! I’m making a baby blanket for a friend right now. So,yay for crafts, plants, anything you enjoy because we enjoy it too!!!
I’ve been happily married for 40 years now, and I still love solo days. I need them for my mental health. I love that you’re incorporating crafts into your channel. That’s the other way I stay healthy both physically and mentally. I’m often crocheting as I watch your Saturday uploads. TFS! 🌺🌺🇨🇦
I really loved this vlog, just you on your own. I'm looking forward to many more. You hit on so many of my passions, plants, coffee, and crochet, or crafting in general. Great job with the Spanish as well!
Hello! Maddie, The undoing of your crochet, and starting over: Symbolic, cathartic, freeing. Do whatever YOU want. Whatever makes you happy. I Love the plants 🪴 I Love the yarn store 🧶 I love the sushi 🍱 Thank you!!!
Hi, great vid, I loved it. It has a quality to it like none of your other vids before. Don't mistaken what I'm saying, I enjoyed the vids you guys did as a couple, but I also see the potential in the vids that each of you will do now. I encourage you to stay in Mexico as long as it feels right and safe for you. Please continue making this type of vid. The energy and the openness of this vid is very refreshing and again, it's unlike anything I've seen before from you or anyone else. And yeah the crocheting was cool. Overall a very good vid, thank you.
I love this vlog. You are handling this situation with so much courage and self respect. I know it's hard and scary but you are doing so well. You're an inspiration to lots of women out here. Thank you for your honesty and lovely solo video.
Great first solo vlog...👏👏 I found it all to be very fun and interesting...it was such fun watching you come out of your shell and watching you have fun and find what makes you happy and start to come into your own...❤❤
I'm very interested to hear more about the food issues you are having - I am finding I can hardly eat anything now that doesn't cause me issues! Stick it out a little longer - don't make a rash decision while this is so new for you. Loved seeing your crafts!
I agree. It will feel intimidating anywhere at first, but wait until you are more certain to make a choice, and listen to your own heart, not us. ♥️♥️♥️
I love that yarn store! Your blanket is going to be beautiful Maddie! I was with my first husband from the time I was 16 until 31! When we divorced I thought I was going to die! It was the most difficult time of my life. I went to the movies alone for the first time in my life. It was not as bad as I thought. I grew a lot during the two years I was alone. The universe sent me my second husband and we’ve have been together 18 years now. There is something to be said FOR BEING ALONE! You got this girl.
I’m so glad that you stayed in mexico I admire you for being strong woman. I don’t know if I could stay but continue moving forward I enjoy watching your TH-cam channel 😊
Doing anything alone is difficult at first & will be lonely in USA also. If Mexico reminds you Jordan & it is stopping you moving on then perhaps go home. I’m an Australian living in New Jersey & it’s very lonely. No friends after 2yrs, flights back home banned to Australia because of covid so I’m struggling plus the simplicity & nice life I had back home. I think it’s just the travel issue - once a year family visit id be fine but it’s getting very sad. However I didn’t just go through a break up & I find staying in the same town or in your case country makes it hard to move on
The crochet segment reminded me of when my mother would make us crochet slippers and beanies in the 1980's. My mom also loves plants and succulents are some of her favorites. My mom is from Zacatecas Mexico. Abrazo fuerte Maddie.
Thanks for this video and your usual real-life honest perspective. It's a huge adjustment to go from coupled to single at any stage of life. I have been single a lot of my adult life and while I would love to be with the right partner, there are hidden riches to the single life that aren't talked about much...a grand adventure in courage and resilience, and in self discovery. May you enjoy the journey....and listen as always to your heart, your inner guidance, not the opinions of others. You've got this!
Girl please!!!! I had a break-up in February and I was feeling the same way. How about I’m better than ever and get this -they always try and come back. My goal is to move to Mexico when I retire in 3 years. You got this!!🍷🍾🤩🎉❤️
You seem like a level headed, independent young woman. I have faith you will do great and come into your own. You and Jordan are so likeable, I wish you both the best and will continue to watch your channel. I'm hoping to move to Mexico within the next year.
Your strong Maddie you can do everything by yourself. Jordan will help you when ever you need him, he’s that kind of guy I’m assuming. Best wishes in your journey
You got this Maddie, have faith in yourself. It might be easier for Jordan to start dating but you just head up, shoulders back and fake it until you make it. I am sure once you get someone in your life it will hit him harder than he expects. Not wishing ill feelings or ill will on anyone, least of all you two, but it has been my experience to see that pan out. Might consider a little pet? They are great companionship and a wonderful ice breaker to meeting tons of people.
I think that if you want to stay, stay! In San Miguel de Allende (just up the road, about 50 minutes from you), we have a number of single women friends there and they all do quite well. Your Spanish is awesome and you can get around. Plus, if the food is better for you, your health is a big checkmark in the "Stay" column. Good luck and hugs!! :)
Maddie, I'd love you to have a safe life but here in México you can have it too! Being single or being alone in a foreign country may look dangerous but with friends it can be a lot better :P but it's your choice and we respect :)
Well Done! Great idea to show woman solo travels in MX! P.S.: I traveled and drove my car by myself all over MX 2 years ago (From CA to Tulum and back) and know many good female friends who live solo as expats in MX! Hope you take up the adventure at least for now and perhaps long-term!
From my experience after the hardest break up last year, i waited to make any big decisions until I felt emotionally safe to do so. And now it’s been a year that quickly flew by im happy I stayed where I was to sort myself out during that time. I just kept super busy with hobbies and friends/family. Btw you look so much happier! ❤️❤️
Yeah, I agree with this advice. Give yourself time to get your equilibrium back before making any major decisions. Find a hobby or exercise group that allows you to spend time with others.
I enjoyed watching you shop for your apartment and hobbies! It's interesting that the prices for all of it were pretty comparable to the US. The food looked absolutely deliciouso! 😍 Also, that gym time is paying off because killer legs sister!
So excited to see you out on your own and showing us a normal day in the life as a resident as opposed to a tourist. I hope you stay. Follow your heart. Good luck, Maddy!
Being solo takes some getting used to but it can be a life changing experience. You get to know yourself in a deeper level and it can mold you into the person God wants you to be. So embrace your aloneness and smile. 🌷🙂
Agreed! Just spent $9.00 at Burger King for a whopper with cheese and a coke. No fries or anything else, and I am in North GA, a relatively “inexpensive” part of the US. I love Mexico and think of moving there EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I have you beat, 25 USD for a Carl’s Jr burger combo on Uber Eats in California. With that same cash I can get 3 pounds of carne asada with guac on the side and drinks included in Baja.
You did great !
Go girl ! 💪❤️💪
From France 🇫🇷
hey maddie, phil here from steemfest2! great video, great to see ya up and out again! yay! this content was great, conversational, just keep doing it, you'll be fine. keep keeping on!
I think it was perfect ! I think you should do what you feel most comfortable with. And then everything will come naturally.. I like what you are doing because this shows another part of Mexico and at the same time something that you really enjoy..
Congratulations on your first solo video! Loved your natural daily life video. Love to see more!
Stay in Mexico don’t move back , enjoy yourself
To me freedom is to be and enjoy life with love ones or love one. Is good to be alone some days but no wayyy on a daily basis.
When a person is corrupt and Godless, the worst advice is "Do whatever you feel like doing."
You must be Born Again; then life begins for any person.
Hi Dan!!
I think you are fantastic Maddie! Catching up on your videos from Vegas to Mexico! Ezcited to watch your new channel too!! Miss you guys!
Very well said Darlene
You find Mexican men more polite than American men? 😂 OK.
🙋♀️That's a FACT! Believe it.❤
"Why should your dream be finished because you are alone." Great quote!
I agree, Susanne! Making big life altering decisions can wait a bit. I know that from experience. (Cough cough two divorces) ❤️❤️❤️
This is good advice
moving after a break up is redundant.
Yeah totally, any man knows this, but few if any women actually do.
Good for you for keeping the channel going! It’s still entertaining:)
Thanks so much! Glad you think so :)
Bless you!
Hang in there Maddie! It will get better, don’t make any major decisions for a few months. Sending you lots of love & hugs. Celina.
Sorry to hear about your break up. So glad you're still vlogging!! You got this!!
Thank you so much Hanafi! You are too kind :)
🤔
Hanafi Monem exactly! Another person can bring you joy (or not), but they can’t make you happy. Happiness comes from within .
True .
Agreed
Give yourself a chance and see how you get on in Mexico on your own. You’ll be fine in time. Love the video ❤️
You’re not spending the day alone Maddy, we’re hanging out with you! You could do more live posts and we really could hang out together in real time. 🥰 Fun vid.
🥰
This...
I’ve been mostly solo for nearly a year now, since I moved to a new town during Covid. I am now used to eating alone if I see a place I want to try. I might not have before, but have no problem now. And you’re way more likable than I am so…….
Enjoy ur solo time. N u seem kind n empathetic. That beats ‘likability’ every time. Good luck out there!
Persevere. Before you know it, you will discover the blessings that come from moving forward.
These videos are very relaxing.
Appreciate you and Jordan.
Maddie, stay in queretaro for a year and have a local girl buddy to check in with daily and hang out with.
If you really can’t imagine wanting the responsibility of having a child, then you are being true to yourself.
You have a lovely
More crafting please
they should live together as friends. otherwise it's worse than they show.
A day in the life of Maddie... thanks for taking us along. As you do more things on your own the easier it will become. Keep up the great videos 😍
Saaaame!
Have faith in yourself, you're all you need.
As a widow, I find that starting conversations with appealing strangers comes quite easily if you are a good listener.
This was a great video, glad to see a glimpse of your apartment. Give yourself a year to settle in. Keep your channel going!
You'll find your groove. Keep putting videos out.
@The Taco Kawaii i disgree with her moving out.
I loved this video including the croqueting part. It was very interesting and it makes me want to try out croqueting again. I say yes to including this kind of content. I've been a follower for awhile and I say yes to you staying in Mexico. You should continue to follow your dreams. Don't give up on them!
Take your time. You clearly like Mexico and you speak the language well enough.
I love seeing how you complete regular, everyday home making activities in Mexico. Keep it up!!
I’m so sorry to hear about your breakup. I know you will be fine. But I know how it hurts. Been going through this myself after 24 years of marriage
I absolutely loved this solo video !! 😍 I personally love everything that is yarn and plants, so it wasn’t boring at all 😂
Maddie, take your time figuring out what is the best decision for you, it both has pros and cons obviously.. i’m sure in time you will know what is the best choice 🙏🏻✨
Enjoy your weekend !
Warmest wishes and loads of hugs to you…Carol
P.S. health care costs are outrageous in the US…stay where you can get good medical care that will not devastate your financial health!
Maddie,
Follow your dreams! Any project in life is tougher at the beginning. Feel scary and blue will happen anywhere. Also, despite any biassed gender opinion, there are good and bad people every where.
Been single does not require a particular address. For you been single requires good common sense at all times.
Best wishes and all kind of blessings!
You just started with an exciting solo life! Give you time to and enjoy it. Everything happening for a reason …😉
👏👏👏👍
It would be nice if you two could meet. That would help Maddie not feel alone and maybe introduce more people for her to meet.
Maddie keep it Going..... so What you're single, just do what You Love.... remember Sun always comes out after the storm 😘
Stay Girl ❣
Thanks for the sweet comment Marlena! :) Sun and rainbows!
Yes and You are welcome. 😍🇲🇽
@Charlie Wayne Thomas Durango, CO. I'm Nomadic, now, and live where ever the good weather, adventures, and mushroom hunting takes me.
Stay in Mexico! The fact that you are publicly revealing this new phase of challenges shows your strength and determination. I will continue to check in and watch your process. You are a bright light!
Woohoo for the crocheting... I have made a handbag with that type of t-shirt yarn. I love that yarn store
Keep it up. 💗
Thank you for such a kind and encouraging comment Chi Chi! Made me smile extra big this morning 😊
Finding solace and comfort in your own company is a huge step toward inner peace. You got this!! Thanks for the video!
I forgot to say that I love that you’re crocheting as I just started back myself! I’m making a baby blanket for a friend right now. So,yay for crafts, plants, anything you enjoy because we enjoy it too!!!
Good for you. You are a strong, beautiful person. Keep your head up.
Hello! Maddie,
The undoing of your crochet, and starting over:
Symbolic, cathartic, freeing.
Do whatever YOU want.
Whatever makes you happy.
I Love the plants 🪴
I Love the yarn store 🧶
I love the sushi 🍱
Thank you!!!
HELL NO...do you see the US news?
Don’t make a move in uncertainty. Wait until you KNOW.❤️❤️❤️
Good advice!
I agree. It will feel intimidating anywhere at first, but wait until you are more certain to make a choice, and listen to your own heart, not us. ♥️♥️♥️
Just enjoy it!!! Deja de pensar en tantas “pendejadas”, sé feliz contigo misma y si encuentras a alguien mejor y si ni modos, no pasa nada 😌 ❤️✌🏾
However I didn’t just go through a break up & I find staying in the same town or in your case country makes it hard to move on
You gotta do what feels right to you. That being said, you're too cute and special to be where you're not appreciated!!!
Good luck to both of you on your new adventures. I'm sure you are safe in Mexico. Don't go looking for trouble and there won't be trouble.
You got this!!🍷🍾🤩🎉❤️
I call BS on you. I bet you always get dumped...and for this masculine attitude you display. The problem is YOU, Latoya.
You seem like a level headed, independent young woman. I have faith you will do great and come into your own. You and Jordan are so likeable, I wish you both the best and will continue to watch your channel. I'm hoping to move to Mexico within the next year.
Great video Maddie!! You should stay if you want to. Can’t wait to see your completed blanket. The plant store and Crochet look awesome!!
Thanks Stephanie! I've been posting blanket updates on my IG if you're interested :) @tangerinemaddie
Your strong Maddie you can do everything by yourself. Jordan will help you when ever you need him, he’s that kind of guy I’m assuming. Best wishes in your journey
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Sil! :)
@@TangerineTravels aww Maddie your like family been watching you since the beginning and I love you. Don’t miss an episode...
@Belltown Daisy ummm…@bell that took a dark turn.
I hope ur doing well and wish u adventures n love.
i just figured out that I like the dude better. Good luck!
Maddie, I'd love you to have a safe life but here in México you can have it too! Being single or being alone in a foreign country may look dangerous but with friends it can be a lot better :P but it's your choice and we respect :)
Yep, there are dangers everywhere in the world, including the US. Thanks for having my back Sebas!
Omg as a obsessed plant mom 🪴 this shop with all the pots and plants I loveeeee!!!! 💞🙌🏻
It’s a grieving process, you will be ok - no greater stronger on your own
I’d love to see more of your crafting!
Right. I’d like to see more of her crafting but maybe Maddie can do that on her otro channel ;)
*Eats $11 meal*
"It's not a cheap restaurant"
I would kill to pay that at a sit-down restaurant where I live. $11 is like a McDonald's meal here.
honoshikun,
I hear you, but average incomes there are also lower, so you have to put that into the comparison.
I've been living in Mexico for 10 months. average meal, here is $4.00-$5.00 with a drink. My daily breakfast is 50 pesos. ($2.50)
lol, I was thinking the same thing.
