If I had only heard the original, it would have been enough. Once I heard Dan's version, it no longer was. Dan wins, hands down. Thanks for your reaction.
Dan shows his contempt in no uncertain way!! I definitely prefer it to the original. 😃He's a more than an amazing singer/performer. The more you go down the rabbit hole, the more you'll see how versatile he is. His creativity and musical artistry is really top tier. His theatrical performances in "Gethsemane" from "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Music of the Night" from "Phantom of the Opera" is a real eye opener to this side of Dan. He also sings the aria "Nessun Dorma". Even if this isn't your preferred genre, you'll thoroughly enjoy it, I'm sure. Hoping for more Dan reactions, thankyou😃
appreciate that you check out the originals before reacting to a cover. it is so obvious that not every reactor does, and often their knock of knowledge results in awkwardness, and sometimes bad info being put out there. enjoy your thoughtful reactions.
The original is ok.... but Dan's is much more powerful... much more emotional ❤ and I love his much better... ❤

I totally agree with you that Dan took a great song and made it even better. He does a cover of I'll Make A Man Out of You from the Disney Mulan movie. It is a metal rocking good time and I hope you will feature it here. As always, your reactions are so well done with how you make sure to check out the original, if you hadn't already heard it. I really liked that you did a comparison. My honest opinion is while the original is a great song, Dan took it another 10 levels up. He has such rich depth and range with his voice along with his presence and character commitment to the song that there is no comparison lol. When reactors watch this, they are usually wearing headphones. It's so much fun to see them jump at the beginning because of Dan's metal scream. The first lyric one was ok. Too mellow for me though. I will tune in to any channel that features Dan.

Watching this video also made me interested in watching The Witcher, which wasn't on my list before I watched and re-watched Dan Vasc's performance. His energy, passion and talent (and of course his hair), can't be matched. So grateful to have found his wonderful music! Thanks for another great reaction!

Not Lion King, but Dan does "I'll Make a Man Out of You." Not knowing the song, never having seen Mulan, I checked out the original. Definitely worth you doing the same if and when you cover his version.
GREAT comparison/reaction. I love that you did that! Unfortunately, I don't believe Dan has ever done a Lion King song. Thank you very much for "doing your homework" ahead of your presentations. You are definitely a man after my own heart (I can say that, because I turned 74 on November 29, 2023). I'm very much a "details" person (as most people reading these comments will attest...grin). Dan has done a wonderful cover of I'll Make a Man Out of You from Disney's Mulan. I think you will really enjoy his performance. Plus, there is a little surprise that I think you will get a kick out of. 😂
He has done Disney! Check out "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan. Donny Osmond was the original singer. Dan has also done another Witcher song "Toss a Coin to the Witcher". Bring Me to Life by Evanescence is FIRE! I could and have listened to him for hours!

Having heard the original now for the first time, I’m sorry to say but Dan’s version is just so much better.
I found The Witcher ok. Watchable but not one I'd bother watching again. I do think it produced some outstanding music, which i really only heard or was made aware of through Dan's incredible covers. The originals were really good. Dan's were Great! ❤

I’d love to hear Dan sing “Circle of Life” from the Lion King but he has a long list already and will likely not ever get to 90% of one’s he’s already got on the list!
No contest. Dan’s version is my favourite.
One part I STRONGLY prefer in Dan’s version is the way he intensifies instead of fades out on the repeated “Burn” part (10:38 in this video)

While the original version is sung well, I don't think the singer puts enough contempt/disdain into his voice. At some parts, he could do a growl, put in some grit, or something else to show his disdain/contempt but instead he sings it to sound "pretty"; at least that's how I heard it. Meanwhile, Dan did Dan things and gave us those feelings that were needed to express the pure, unadulterated disdain, contempt, and possible hatred for the Witcher.

Have not heard th original until now. I like it but it lacks emotion. Now let me hear Daniel..precisely what i though th original lacks, Dan gave it LIFE! Not only his tones r superior, but those transitions r not easy, 1 mistake & he would blow his cords. Dan Rocks!
You didn't watched the witcher, no worries , I didn't finished first season.
Don't feel alone! I lost interest when Netflix insulted our intelligence by having to show us what Geralt had already stated. We understood perfectly well what/how he felt, we didn't need to see it.
Before I even listen to your video, I’m gonna tell ya, Dan Vass sings all the Witcher songs, much better than the guy in the shell.
