    My favorite thing to make is white HTV on a cotton shirt, but I started sublimation a few months ago and I've bern trying to figure out how to keep that bright white with all the pretty sublimation colors. This is perfect for that, thank you! 😊

    Angie! Great video. I also love the DTV from Siser. I have been using the backer sheet to help the printed side lay flat before I press it. Through an oopsie moment, I accidentally pressed the DTV with the backer sheet covering the printed side. It didn't stick to the print and worked like parchment. That's my go- to for ensuring my image doesn't move or roll while I'm pressing.

    So it's ok to press over the sublimation again when adding the HTV layer? I thought you couldn't iron over sublimated ink..?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. As I stated in the video, the HTV is at a lower temperature so probably will not reactive the ink but you use butcher paper just in case.

    • @patriciakidd5358
      @patriciakidd5358 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just make sure you cover it. I use plain printer paper. BUT, put some paper inside the tee also to keep the sub ink from going through to the back side. The ink usually doesn't go thru to the back on the first press but definately can on the second press where the HTV is being added.

    Hi, thank you. Would you please have a video on sublimation on black 100% cotton? I have seen other videos, but it's a 3 steps process. Easysubli, clear htv, then sub image. Do you think 2 layers of HTV make it thicker? Thank you
    The easycolor DTV is just like printable HTV except it lasts up to 20 washes

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @patriciakidd5358
      @patriciakidd5358 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use regular white HTV under the clear HTV instead of Easysubli and get the same result. But if I have to build 3 layers, I'll just grab Siser DTV and get it done with one sheet. You can add a black background to your image before your print and then just trim the DTV near the design for a DTF-looking image.

      Use plain printer paper. Cover the pad with paper and press for 1 minute and then replace with clean paper. Repeat until the paper has no shadow of the ink when you hold it up to the light. I don't recommend putting anything wet on a hot press, it may warp.

    Is there ever a time you would want to cut a full white background in htv and then print your sublimation design that would press on TOP of the white so the colors ALL pop instead of the colors disappearing into the grey? I hope I’m describing my idea well enough.
