Thank you for this tutorial, this was the easiest and simplest way I’ve seen! Other TH-camrs make it so complicated for beginners and this long process on Design Space and you did it 1,2,3! Now I feel confident on making my shirts this way since I have the all of the materials already and just starting out with sublimation and most of my shirts are cotton. New subby!
Omgeeee you saved my life!!! Just bought my sub so i am very new im only used to vinyl and i have a tonnnnn of cotton tshirts youve just saved me a bunch of money! Thanks girl!! ❤
Love your voice! Sounds caring, well it does to a common Londoner 😂. Fantastic video thank you. I never understand why people leave negative comments but I suppose they get their 5 mins of self indulgence 😂 I might watch this a few times as it’s very informative, thanks again x
Refreshing myself on this technique before doing an order for dark t-shirts, and a black blouse. Your T-shirt turned out AWESOME!!! Thank you again for sharing your technique. Have a wonderful day! Donna 🌹🌹🌹
I just wanted to let you know that you are amazing and thank you so much for all your beautiful work. With me being new to sublimation and learning on my own you have really helped me a lot❤.
A cricut machine could do that. Or even a paper slicer to remove some of the end. I thinks it's still fine. I just got all my stuff. I'm so afraid and excited to get started!!!
I simply loved this! I practiced the other day. I wish i could put a pic up od what i did. I ordered larger roles and will do this a lot going forward.
Thank you so much! My question is about the feel. HTV shirts can be hot and heavy/sticky feeling in the summer whereas subbed shirts just feel like the shirt. How is the feeling of it. More like vinyl or more like subbed?
Girl you are GORGEOUS!! I’ve been doing epoxy cups for about 5 years and getting into sublimation. I ran into your tutorial by accident but I love you already!!😊
This was so helpful! I'm hoping to get some shirts made and needed the dark background. One question: Would this peel, or would it be baked into the shirt like normal sublimation on light colors?
@@CraftableThings I've tried nothing yet :) I was actually going to have someone else do it who does sublimation but mentioned that the shirts had to be polyester or blend and light colored. I hadn't thought of DTF transfers!
Hi i really like your video thanks for them also can please just tell me on the gray cut that you press first what material is this reg. white heat vinyl? or which one? and the one you print on is the sublimation one you showed in the blue folder right? so basically can you tell me the 2 different papers i used for doing the heat transfer project thank you
I like this. However...I use Silioutte just to print and do not have their cutting machine or Cricut(Just started in March). But it seems to me that I would need it...IF I wanted to do this hack, correct?
it does look amazing, but I can see those registration marks. I have a debate ?, would you recommend starting out with sublimation, dtf, or dtg? I want to start out with a laser engraver since I'm already into wood working, my DIL says move forward into new ventures, plus she works at a wrap and sign shop, and "knows" all about sub & dtf. (gatekeeper ;) ).
I couldn’t see the registration marks. Luckily, this is a cotton shirt and that black sub ink from the registration marks will wash out. I recommend starting out with what your budget allows and the market you prefer to tackle.
19.57 light on, but good to know the marks wash out. budget isn't the issue, its what's selling and will continue to sell. i have asked this to 3 diff makers and you all say the same thing. NASA!@@CraftableThings
Sorry, I didn't understand your video and I watched it 3 times. You only showed one paper material, the HTV but which one did you use for the back, basic cut or did you used it for sublimate on it? because I see that you used two but then which one is the basic cut and which one did you use to sublimate?
I love your channel! Your design came out so beautiful! I followed your steps and tried to put a design on dark red hoodie. The HTV looked nice - clear white color, but after applying the sub. paper the red fabric came through the design. So the red fabric is seeing through the whole design. Do you have any advice for me? Thank you!
I noticed that Patrice had not replied to you yet. I’ve never heard of this happening before, but if you have not found help with this, perhaps maybe try placing a piece of butcher paper inside the shirt before pressing it. It sounds like your red dyes are bleeding through to the other side of the shirt. So the shirt might need to be pre washed before using the technique, which she demonstrated. I don’t know if this will resolve the problem, but I hope it helps. TIP: Always test on a piece of fabric if you can. Best wishes.
Don't do it just get dark transfer paper which is printable vinly that is a waste of material or basically just layering vinyl over vinly but with printable vinyl ur only using once piece of vinyl
I made a few shirts that came out perfect on 60%cotton/poly blends, they came out perfect, but i cant do it on other shirts for some reason, cotton/spandex also came out alright but not great
Don't do it just get dark transfer paper which is printable vinly that is a waste of material or basically just layering vinyl over vinly but with printable vinyl ur only using once piece of vinyl
You did a great job on this. I have a question, though. I sell DTF prints, do you think buying the supplies and doing this method is more affordable or just buying a dtf print? Just curious for my own knowledge lol! Great video. ❤️
I'm having this exact problem and I can't work out why. It's weird because I've had successful prints but my last 10 or so prints have been bleeding blue onto the white offset after washing.
Hi, I am habing proboem print and cut, does not cut properly, I calibarate so many times and does not working. Could you please suggest me what can I do?
I had the same issue. Try moving your Cricut to different areas of the room. I found it was a lighting issue. Tried all the tricks, close lid, trace lines, etc. I moved my printer to another area and it started cutting.
Hey Patrice, I love how the shirt turned out. I'm sad because I just got the Sublimation HTV and I'm going to have to do the white hack on top. Let's see how I do. Hope I don't be hung out in the Junna....😂🤣🤣🤣
You just hooked a new subscriber. I love how you explain everything perfectly. You seem so humble. Love that, never change.

I love ❤️ the ability to sublimate for cotton with the HYV hack ❤Thank you for this tutorial!
This is the first one of your tutorials I've watched & I found it soooo helpful! Thank you so much!
I just wanted to let you know that you are amazing and thank you so much for all your beautiful work. With me being new to sublimation and learning on my own you have really helped me a lot❤.
Thank you so much and thank you for taking the time to comment. 💕
Love this video. Wondering if you could cut the printed design somewhere to line up more perfectly on the white vinyl.
A cricut machine could do that. Or even a paper slicer to remove some of the end. I thinks it's still fine. I just got all my stuff. I'm so afraid and excited to get started!!!

I always weed my HTV while it's still on the cutting mat. The mat holds the backing in place for an easier weeding process.
Thanks...this helped so many you tubers. Not all of want to sell. Tks again
Hello,I have the same printer what settings you have it on ??because my printer takes long to print I liked the way your image came out fast
This is beautiful! Very curious to try this. In comparison to actual DTF how does it feel. I love the brightness of sublimation.
It has a thicker feel than DTaf
How do you change the print and cut size of mat to 11x17? Before you go to the dialog box. Mine won’t let me.
Question, wouldn't it be easier to just do a print and cut with printable vinyl? Asking before I convert my printer.
Yes it will
U don't have too convert ur printer most printable vinyl does not suggest sublimation ink so this will be a win win for u
Girl you are GORGEOUS!! I’ve been doing epoxy cups for about 5 years and getting into sublimation. I ran into your tutorial by accident but I love you already!!😊
beautiful ! the white is perfectly fine because it looks like a shadow
Thank you!!!
Hi, Patrice! Thanks for this. I have an HTVRont auto press. Do you think it has enough pressure for this material? Ty!
yes, it should!
Thank you! You did a great job. i'll push the bell for you. do you have a video for using this with white cotton.
I really really love this video. It is very helpful. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
This was so helpful! I'm hoping to get some shirts made and needed the dark background. One question: Would this peel, or would it be baked into the shirt like normal sublimation on light colors?
It would peel. Have you tried DTF transfers?
@@CraftableThings I've tried nothing yet :) I was actually going to have someone else do it who does sublimation but mentioned that the shirts had to be polyester or blend and light colored. I hadn't thought of DTF transfers!
Im sorry new to the sublimation world. Did you use 2 of the dark fabric sublimating vynils? Or one regular heat vynil and one dark sublimation?
Hi i really like your video thanks for them also can please just tell me on the gray cut that you press first what material is this reg. white heat vinyl? or which one? and the one you print on is the sublimation one you showed in the blue folder right? so basically can you tell me the 2 different papers i used for doing the heat transfer project thank you
This turned out beautiful! I am curious have you ever had issues with the heat transfer lifting or peeling? How can you avoid this happening?
Best tutorial yet! Thank you!
Beautiful but technical for me. I bought everything to start, but I just gave up. But all your stuff is perfect 🎉
I’m new to all this. What is the difference between sublimating on htv and just using printable htv. Does it last longer? Feel better? Look sharper?
Regular printer ink washes out. Sublimation lasts longer
The colors look great! 😍
thanks, girlie !!!
I have a question I have epson printer but the ink that I use Is called Hippoo Sublimation will work with the HTVRONT Sublmation paper?
Yes, it will.
Will these last thru many washes?
I am trying to get the right one on Amazon, does it show a funky printed square on the description, PLEASE
I like this. However...I use Silioutte just to print and do not have their cutting machine or Cricut(Just started in March). But it seems to me that I would need it...IF I wanted to do this hack, correct?
Thank you for explaining the process so well. You truly are the best. New sub here.
How are the tshirts holding up? Do they last well after washing & drying?
Was this a cotton shirt? It was absolutely beautiful. I followed thx for your help
That is so pretty and vibrant
Does the htvront vinyl shrink a little? If so, would doing the offset way be better then?
Thank you so much!!! I’m new at this and your video was sooooo helpful
How do shirts look after you wash them. Mine would get this blue color around the clear vynol
which vinyl did you use. I have not experienced that with this material.
Your nails are really nice!
Nice, I was wondering if it is soft and stretchy or if it is stiff?
It’s not stretchy.
Love it! Thanks so much…helps me a lot!!
Yes ma'am love it beautiful as always. Wonderful job 💙💙
thanks, Jeanita!
Dont understand, wouldnt the shift jist feel like a vinyl print?
Would it line up better if you had cricut cut your sublimation print as well?
it sure would1
Great video! Very informative 💜

Great video. Can i use this method without a cricut machine?i dont have one.
Yes. You can do this with any vinyl cutter
Can I add your ink to what I already have because my ink is low or do I have to drain all of my sublimation ink.
I usually add when it gets low when testing other inks
Hi
I don't see your link for the Dynamic Ink.
Your design is beautiful.
Sorry, I didn't understand your video and I watched it 3 times. You only showed one paper material, the HTV but which one did you use for the back, basic cut or did you used it for sublimate on it? because I see that you used two but then which one is the basic cut and which one did you use to sublimate?
I was asking the same 😅 I'm wondering if she used regular heat transfer vynil for the back
The result is much nicer than the DTF hack with the powder, which doesn't work at all on black t-shirts and isn't great quality.
Awesome video . Thanks Queen. ? Did u use sublimation paper or reg white printer paper? Thank you
sublimation paper
Thanks for this video. I,m going to try this right now. 😊
did you like the outcome?
Love this. I definitely need to just do it lol. Have all the stuff but been scared to try.
Hey sorry if my question sound dumb but can i print on the htv sublimation paper?
It looks amazing the white looks like a offset so not bad
Where would I buy the products for sublimation
Would it work on black polyester or blend shirt?
Yes

What would be the best printer to buy
Thank you Ma'am! this is amazing! You give me hope! haha.. this process is stressful learning it!
so let me get this right u print on the htvront or do u cut out for the base white with regular HTV viynl
the video shows the exact steps and materials used. I never showed or used regular HTV
Thank you!! I needed this video.
Thanks for watching!
Great tutorial, thanks for sharing!!
Patrice, can we do this with the Brother printer?
👀I liked that beat you used during printing 🎶 I came out super bright😎 And Cricut should have an option to turn off registration marks if you choose
thanks, Sin! I love trap beats. This one came from epidemic.com
This is great, easy to follow thank you ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Wich sublimation paper are you using to print on
How does this feel compared to standard heat transfer, non-sublimation paper?
like vinyl/htv.
Question I have the HTV RONT BUT ITS NOT LIKE THE ONE YOU HAVE HOW WOULD I DO EXACLTY WHAT YOU DID BUT WITHOUT THE PAPER YOU HAVE
Don't do it just get dark transfer paper which is printable vinly that is a waste of material or basically just layering vinyl over vinly but with printable vinyl ur only using once piece of vinyl
I love it! Will you be able to do a wash test soon?
I made a few shirts that came out perfect on 60%cotton/poly blends, they came out perfect, but i cant do it on other shirts for some reason, cotton/spandex also came out alright but not great
What vynil do u use?
Do they fade with washing?
Thank you sooooooo much! Playing my order now!
WOW that looks amazing
Thank you so much for your videos they are very helpful but im having a problem with thisvne i followed exactly very step but my image cracked
Beautiful job and thank you!
The instructions show product works on 100% cotton. Does it work on polyster s well?
Wow that turned out great
So... will this Crack? I'm genuinely asking bc I'm researching before I get started. Would this be a better technique to use for sports jerseys
How did you get crucified to print bigger then 9.75 and 6.25? At lea see it looked bigger ?
The parameter increased months ago.
Yay I can’t wait to try this do you know how it washes ?
Don't do it just get dark transfer paper which is printable vinly that is a waste of material or basically just layering vinyl over vinly but with printable vinyl ur only using once piece of vinyl
You did a great job on this. I have a question, though. I sell DTF prints, do you think buying the supplies and doing this method is more affordable or just buying a dtf print? Just curious for my own knowledge lol! Great video. ❤️
I think it depends on a few factors. Buying transfers is definitely less of a hassle and saves you time.
Are you having and issue with bleeding with this product? After washing i notice some blue bleeding on the white parts
I'm having this exact problem and I can't work out why. It's weird because I've had successful prints but my last 10 or so prints have been bleeding blue onto the white offset after washing.
can you print directly onto the vinyl?
Hey girl! Nice work!
Did you use a sublimationpaper?
Because I saw it with sublimationpowder too!
Didn't know this can work with only the paper 😳😳
Im sold. U have a new subscriber 🎉😂😊 Ur shirt looks AMAZING
Does it feel stiff and thick on your shirt
Yes it does and it makes u sweat in the area of the design especially if it is a big enough design
@@buddahkahn6911Thanks
Thank you I have heard people saying this
No it doesn't. It feels just like if you were to use the printable vinyl
I will give it a try
Hiw many washes/drys does it last?
Beautiful 😍
Thanks, Lizzy!
Do you have the link for the sublimation vinyl?
Please hit the 👍
Hi, I am habing proboem print and cut, does not cut properly, I calibarate so many times and does not working. Could you please suggest me what can I do?
I would contact Cricut. Especially, if calibration isn't working and it's not cutting properly.
Thank you
There's an issue with print and cut right now, they are working on it
I had the same issue. Try moving your Cricut to different areas of the room. I found it was a lighting issue. Tried all the tricks, close lid, trace lines, etc. I moved my printer to another area and it started cutting.
how did they hold up in the wash??
