When Stark was stating that Linie’s hits were weaker than his master he was talking about brute strength. In episode 4 Eisen was shown lifting a boulder while searching for Flamme’s giant tree. Linie couldn’t do that. Stark stopped Linie’s axe swing by pure muscle strength. If you have ever stabbed a piece of steak (muscle) you would remember that it takes a lot of force to go deep into it.

12:04 Linnie didn't have the mass for Eisen's axe skills. If she had stuck with a finesse weapon it's quite likely Stark would have died of papercuts.
It's interesting that Lügner complains, at length, about people who are talented / don't work for what they have, while Linnie litterly doesn't have to work for her skills and clearly didn't do the training to polish them.

Mana would be the energy that the mage draws from to manifest the spell, Technique would be knowledge of spells and nuances of spellcasting, Casting speed would be the speed of which the spell is fired off by the mage. As Frieren explained, she dominates Fern in the amount of mana that she has as well as the years of knowledge that she possess, but Fern can cast spells faster. Fern focused on Zoltraak, as Frieren taught her, knowing and mastering only one combat spell at the beginning, she eventually became faster than Frieren in casting it.

    Thank you for sharing 😊
This is probably my favorite anime fight scene of all time. It's such a complete package.

The difference between Technique and Casting Speed is basically, Technique is knowing how to solve a math problem and Casting Speed is how fast you're able to solve that problem.

There are four parts of magic that they have talked about thus far. There is mana, control, technique, and casting speed. Mana is power that is within living creatures. The amount of mana a person has can be increased over time through training, which is why Frieren told Fern in the first episode that she'd never be able to catch up to her in terms of mana. Frieren has had ten times the amount of time to increase her mana than Fern will ever have. Control is their ability to manipulate the mana they have in their body, and this is something that Fern has always been good at. That's why Heiter said she was practically invisible when she was a small child and how she was able to sneak up on the demons. Technique is the actual spell casting itself. Again, Frieren has had a thousand years to practice her technique, so her technique is far more advanced. Casting speed is how quickly they can apply their technique and use their mana to cast the spell. This is another area where Fern is naturally gifted as she is faster than Frieren and surprised Lugner with how fast she was able to cast spells.

3:59 That was likely the dead but controlled son of Graf Granat that Frieren saw among the dead soldiers.

Fern is such a gunslinger coded character. Everything about her screams Clint Eastwood.

Love that you tend to favor seeing Himmel (Not to take away from this episode at all). Just as it is for me getting to see any of the previous party is such a nice feeling even if it's a "I miss them" feeling.

If Linnie didn't want to play with her food so much this battle would likely have ended differently.
There is a fan theory that Linne is the daughter of Lügner and Aura. There is a moderate amount of evidence for this, and Lügner sure seems to care an unusual amount about her as far a demons go, but we don't know much about demon reproduction. It's quite possible they are just born from mana.
Ymmv, but I do think it is interesting to think about.

Go back to ep7. Demons give birth to new demons, but abandon them at a young age. We don't know if they have any romantic feelings or the like. That is unknown to us.

Lugner didn't care about her at all. He was just shocked that Linie lost when we thought she had her fight already won and that meant that he wasn't gonna receive her help.
