This show reflects the sensibilities and fundamental mindset of its viewers. I always think your reactions to this journey are wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
The author designed this episode so it would not end with tears but smile. That kind of thoughtfulness exists all around this series. No wonder this series is such popular one.
Stark is as much a hero as anyone else through his little daily acts of kindness for others. The Hamburg steak carries so much more meaning for Stark now and thank goodness he can work on giving himself grace for running now. Frieren said it herself this episode (she's learning, bless her) "people won't know how you feel unless you tell them". Another little thing about the original party is that it consisted of a disgraceful mage, scared warrior, corrupt priest, and a fake hero. God I love this show.
That Himmel didn't pull the sword makes him a more inspiring figure. He wasn't chosen by destiny, he wasn't special. He's what he chose to make himself into, which means anyone can aspire to be like him.
If you want to know how old Fern is during the anime just subtract 11 from the years since Himmel’s death. In episode 3 Fern says that she is 16 years old and that is when it was 27 years since Himmel’s death. When Frieren met Fern at Heiter’s place it was 20 years after the death of Himmel so Fern was 9 at that time.
With Himmel not pulling the sword from the stone, does that mean the hero that pulled it to defeat the ultimate evil, that entire event is yet to come and that the Demon King wasn't even the final evil to defeat? Kinda reminds me of a bit the Dagor Dagorath, the Final Battle in the "The Lord of the Rings" world.
Yeah, I think it's either that the Goddess, or other power behind the sword, didn't think that Himmel needed it, or that the catastrophe wasn't the Demon King. From Kraft's past, we know that there were other world-ending threats besides him. Either way, it makes Himmel a badass. He defeated the Demon King with the equivalent of a cheap Ebay knockoff.
A “fake” hero. A corrupt priest. A cowardly warrior. And a disgraced mage. Words mean nothing. Action speaks everything. They saved the world and have nothing to be ashamed about.
"Run, Stark. You have to live" has a 100% hit rate on drawing tears out of me. Such a good brother Stoltz was

Incridble, someone finally noticed at first glance that Frieren was looking at the ring in the first episode 👀
7:15 funny note about this potion, is Fern actually did tell her to return it in ep 3 when she bought it
Stark: "when they needed me, I ran away"
Me: dude, not only you were like 5, YOU HAD A FUCKING WOOD SWORD, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!
Stark: FUCK YOUR LOGIC I HAVE PTSD
OMG this show is too precious, and it doesn’t stop. More tears of happiness and sadness remain 😭
Stark's trauma was so deep and bad that his memory and recollection got so messed up, at least he got to start the healing on this episode

6:27 I think Fern is 17 or older.

I think what the author wants to say in this episode is ''Don't misjudge the purpose and the means.''
お兄さんは実は勇者だったのではないかな。一番強い大魔族に運悪く殺されてしまったんだな
笑い方可愛い
