I really liked Eisen words of advice to Stark. A true warrior persist, endures and keeps trying and fight until they can’t anymore. Much like Fern, Stark embodies and channels the teachings of master very very well. Stark is so cool.
I love how the fights weren't rushed, but still fast paced...Usually in anime if you look away, you'd still have ages to react to an opponent, but not here lol. Here, you snooze you lose. I knew you guys were gonna love this!
I love that when Lugner realizes he's at a disadvantage, he starts trying to get Linie to hurry up and kill Stark to give him an opening vs Fern, but instead Linie losing is what causes him to give Fern the opening to finish it.
Miss Samantha is on point with the fight choreography, animation and cinematography being top rank. Every frame was mad excellent. Fern is really embodying her mentor’s energy and overall tactics. She was so cool, calm and collected, big boss babe aura from her. Heiter would be very proud of her.

I swear these like, two or three episodes of the demon combat really changed what my expectations were. I never figured we would have entire episodes dedicated to fighting, but I'm all for it. Especially because of the animation quality, and wonderful storytelling. Truly an amazing show. My one complaint is that, as of right now we are near the end of the season. I'm not ready to have to wait for the second, but I do know it will undoubtedly happen. Rest of the show remains beautiful. I never have had an episode that I have said 'Meh that was kinda boring.'
our reaction times are the same as that of linie. we never saw stark's attack coming, and when we did notice it, it was too late. real life fast attacks after being all defense feel like frame skips too lol
I noticed something durng Fern's fight with Lugner. When the fight starts Lugner wounds Fern badly in her left shoulder. In fact her left arm hangs useless for almost the entire fight: FERN BEATS LUGNER USING ONLY ONE HAND! Fern is a badass! 😎
Fern is stronger than Frieren. Frieren is chill, aloof and seems to care. However, what Frieren did to Aura is a war crime. Frieren could have taken Aura out quickly, but Frieren chose to torture Aura. Love Frieren but man this is hard, makes me question Frieren.
