Fixing "System Error (Focus)" on Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ8

I think there was something wrong with the lens focus motor - lug position, so I spun it back down the thread a bit and it did the job!

i reckon i have the same problem... Do you know which position the right one (starting / close position) is? Or do I have to try out - which means I have to take the camera several times apart

Nice video. I'll give it a try. However I did not see any zoom capability after the fix. Did I miss something?

Sorry for the late reply, but the camera was fixed, still works. And even in 2023, it will still be a good camera to use, thanks to its optical zoom. I ordered a new battery from China, the old one didn't last.

i have the lumix DMC-ZS3 which is almost the same camera, would this technique work?

Maybe. But it didn't work for me - that white thing goes right down, but the top doesn't rise, I don't know why (
