Apologies for the delay with this one, everybody. Had a bit of a nightmare capturing footage for the original Xbox - so subbed in the GBC - but that'll be up next!

If you had ever watched bowling, would you have given this less than everything you've got?
You guys should start playing the last 10 games released on a console.
That would be difficult because homebrews exists and many old consoles still get new games released every year as a physical cartridge or disk. Of course there are often only very limited availability with those games (like 100 - 1000 copies sold) but those are still real released games for those consoles.

Almost every entry would start with "Oh yeah! Here we go! SPORTS TIME!" And I like not hearing that super often. This way, it's somewhat special when he does.
We need a series of "Final 5 games from each console" or something of the sort

The Wario Land games, especially 2 and 3, are some of my all time favorite games. Really wish they'd release a bundle/remaster on Switch or put out a new one in the series.

OH MY YES, GAME AND WATCH GALLERY 2!!!!! I had this game for the GB Color and when I mention it to people, no one knows what I am talking about! I LOVED that game! I remember driving to my nanny's, playing that in the back of the car! My favourite was the chef one because you cooked the food then moved one ahead to feed Yoshi!!! :D
Dragon Warrior Monsters was my first game i ever got on gameboy, and it is my favorite game of all time! Its randomized areas were super cool, although it had one HELL OF A difficulty spike after a bit
As a fellow Ben who also received a Gameboy Colour for his first handheld (mine was the clear purple version) as well as a copy of Pokemon Blue, I knew this video was for me. But when I saw Pocket Bomberman come up on the screen, so many memories came back! I played that game so much growing up and had a great time with it!

I had a Gameboy Pocket. Never had a GBC, in fact I skipped all the way to GBA SP. That leap was insane

The closed captions go _absolutely_ insane at the end by the way. I was barely even paying attention as I was seeing speech from way earlier in the video just _flying_ by at breakneck speeds. XD
Everyone I knew had the clear purple ones. Like, I legit thought that the different colours were just a marketing tool when in reality it was just clear purple. Until this video... Like, every kid at school that would bring their Gameboy it was always clear purple.
I remember choosing the purple, and argos gave me the lime green one. I was mad at first but it grew on me really quickly.
Mine is Teal color; came with Pokemon Gold. Have it functioning well to this day!
Tetris DX was my very first Game Boy game, but the first Game Boy I owned to play it on was actually a red colored Pocket. It was a short time afterward that I received my first Game Boy Color handheld, and then the Game Boy Advance when that first launched.
My brother got a Game Boy Color (it pains me to leave out the 'u') with Pokémon yellow and the camera. That tech was ahead of its time.

The intro made me feel very old. I started gaming on a black & white TV in a heavy wooden case, games were on cassettes and you were lucky if they loaded.
I still have my beautiful, original teal gameboy color! :D

Dragon Warrior Monsters is still probably in the top 10 for my most-played games. The breeding was just so intricate. (Not to mention randomized dungeons.) It and DWM 2 easily outweigh all my time amongst the Pokemon games combined.
Never could get into the mainline DQ series, though

I had the atomic translucent purple and Pokémon Blue. My dad then got himself a teal with Pokémon Red after he saw how awesome Pokémon was. I miss the 90s so much.
The gameboy color was my first gaming console ever! Got it when i was 4 years old. Still have the original copy of my first game, which was a tom and jerry game.

I too, used the GBC exclusively as a Pokemon machine. A shame though, that Warioland game looks right up my alley.

I remember in 2001, getting a gameboy colour for the first time. I was even asked of I would prefer the gameboy advance but I wanted the colour instead. I had no regrets. Mario bros deluxe and zelda oracle of seasons were my first 2 games that were gbc exclusive.
Why though? I mean the GBA plays GBC games...
Dragon Quest Monsters was my favorite game on the system. I would play it non stop...wish we would have gotten the 3ds remake 😢
I remember playing Spiderman 2 for the GBC but couldn’t find either as I think they broke when I was around 10. But being in college now I decided to go buy another one to relive the memories. Great video, you’ve given me tons of ideas for games to get.
You are correct Ben. My first was a purple Gameboy color and the blue pokemans. I vividly remember not knowing how to leave my house at the start for a few hours. Neither me or my parents knew all you had to do was stand on the carpet and walk down..

Wario Land 2 for the GBC is just Wario Land 2 for the Gameboy, but in color. The early GBC library had a bunch of these kinda unnecessary rereleases of fairly recent Gameboy games that just added color and nothing more.
I had the semi transparent purple GBC when I was a kid, along with pokemon red. I got it for my 5th birthday. I still remember waking up early (before school) and opening my present, turning on the gameboy and hearing that iconic sound.
Dragon Warrior Monsters is an underrated classic.
I love my Grape GBC with Pokemon Yellow, Tetris and Metroid 2.
the Wario Land games on GBC were completely fire, alongside Zelda Oracles and DX they are truly masterpieces
Pocket BomberMan is pretty good, one of my favourites on the system.

Just replayed Warioland 2 not long ago and it surprisingly kept my attention. Super fun.

i was around 8 when i had a transparent clear with pokemon blue, literally the best gaming times of my life. i can even remember learning how to obtain multiple rare candys. which was my first ever hack.
I had that Pikachu and Pichu special edition! Lost it behind a toilet for five months.
Green GBC and Pokémon Blue on my 7th birthday. I remember opening it 20 years on.
Dragon Warrior Monsters was more fun than it deserved to be.
I also had the teal one, but the only games I had were Super Mario Bros Deluxe and Lego Stunt Rally

Some guy in my 5th grade class traded me dragon warrior for yoshi island and til this day I couldn't figure out what that game was all I knew was that game was fun as hell

I know it's a few years too late, but...
I still think Nintendo should release a portable console with Pokemon version games as a Launch title, similar what they did with Mario. And Zelda in the past.

I remember getting a GameBoy Color for my Birthday, Great system. I got Pokemon Yellow and Mario DX with it. Wario Land 3 , Pokemon Silver, Pokemon Pinball and Shantae are my favorite games for this system.
Shantae for the GBC is now worth stupendous amounts now.

My first hand held was also the teal one with Pokémon Blue but somehow my parents decided I'd get Grand Theft Auto too. I still have both game but I don't have the Game Boy for some reason. Years later I got the purple clear plastic one.
I must have completed Pokémon silver five times before my parents got me a second game. And of all games I chose dragon warrior 3 because of the cover. I was lucky I never got any shovelware for that system.

Please make another video series about playing the last few games of the consoles before they were discontinued. There would be lots of sports time and even some radical cool bird man for the Nintendo 64.

also philips with their cdi version, you can't even do a soft drop on that version, you have to let the pieces fall slowly or force it down with a button but at least the music and visuals look good on that version.
