@@drownthepoor Yeah, Ive got a long family history of working for chevy dealers in So Cal, all of my uncles including me thats six, have been GM dealer employees, I cant see myself owning anything else. @@smtbigelow I come from a family with a lot of drag racers, including my father. Him and most of his friends have Chevy's. He has a 71 Nova that he got when he was 15. My first car was my mom's 96 Firebird and then I had a couple of Cobalts.
Ironically, I currently drive a Ford Focus hatchback and my father drives an F-350 lol.
I think Ford's interior quality is better, but they need to paint the undersides of their trucks because they rust.

Mate, your stang' sounds great. My first fun daily driver car was an XB Falcon. I was 23, and my wife told me to go out and buy something economical, but I happened to see a burnt orange XB Falcon on the side of the road with a for sale sign on it. With a 351 cleveland it was hardly economical, but hellacious quick, and her reaction to seeing the angry beast in the driveway for the first time was truly something to behold. After a few years of driving it, she blubbed like a baby when I finally sold the old beast. There's another one in the garage now, and a mk1 Escort RS2000. You can piss away thousands on cars, but don't let anyone discourage you. The fun factor more than makes up for it.

I went to high school with William Wood's younger brother (class of '87). Our school was in Encino, and my friend used to drive up to Camarillo a few days a week after school to work at the shop. I was not clear on his brother's company's name. It wasn't until I bumped into my friend at CSUN every so often that he explained his brother founded Wilwood Brakes as I was a subscriber to Hot Rod Magazine. Duh...it took a few years, but I realized the connection.

I've admired the Wilwood Mustang a few times at local shows and when it used to come out to Camarillo autocross. Great car. I need to get out that direction. Also shout-out to waking the neighbors for early morning departures. In college I had a 4am shift and I drove my Nova every day with 2 chamber Flowmasters. It shook the windows. Without a choke, the car had to warm up a bit before I could put it in gear so it was not only loud but also took a few minutes. One of the neighbors thought it was a different hotrod and chewed out a different neighbor over it. From that point forward I rolled the car down the street a little ways from most of the other houses before I started it. What canyon were you driving in this video?

The Wilwood Mustang is bad a## for sure. But I like yours better! The old school vibe makes it complete! Word of warning though! Don't go crazy trying to get all the play out if your steering box that way. Over tightening will lead to excessive wear and potential failure. Breaking or locking up the steering!

Deduct two points for the second gear failure on the restomod 6 speed tremec rig , the old 4 speed toploader prevails.... Apparently a common issue on the T56, needs a new synchro hub ring worn out, someone must have a better one out there......
