Hi Ben! Always love your content, you’re a great kid with a bright future, and love your attitude!
The car is dying under deceleration because it’s uncovering the main jet on the primary side. A jet extension will fix it or raising the float level a little bit could fix it as well. Best of luck. Kevin Griffitts

Check the float heights on your carb. If the rear is too high it could be spilling over when you decelerate.

    🔔😎 Stalling.
Fuel is sloshing out the vent tubes.
Connect the tubes with a piece of hose and cut a vent V near the sir filter stud.
If it still stalls, you might need the extended tubes for the jets, though that is usually for hard acceleration.
    Old tricks👍😎

Looks alot like my old mustang. I put on the last factory front bumper delete roll pan from Wilson Ford Parts back in 76. It had a set of Micjey Thompson headers and a 2,000lb clutch. I also had to gusset the clutch belcrank. Mine was a dark metallic blue.

My experience - so many intermittent and flaky events on my cars have come back to grounds. More than a few times I just kept unscrewing, cleaning, and reconnecting grounds or replacing spades and all of a sudden problems went away. Even charging and ignition bugs a few times. No way am I saying for sure you've got those symptoms. But I've used manual logic and multi-meters tons of times and a wrench and screwdriver and sandpaper still ended up fixing head scratchers LOL.

i think the best way of testing the rear brake on lockin up is when you drive on wet surface and take a turn and then braking dial the rear brakes in so that if you turn on wet pavement and you brake that the rear wheels donnt skid most old cars have a 30 percent rear and 70 percent front brake strength

Float level on a Holley should be set to the bottom of the site hole threads and when you nudge the fender, gas should trickle out. Idle should be no lower than 800 rpm.

Great video, I really like the direction you are going with your car, I’ve got a 1967 mustang fastback I’ve owned since high school (36 years) it’s my first car I’d like to do the same set up with the brakes as you did on your car. I’ve got the six cylinder engine in my car, I’ve swapped in the V8 rear axle (8” rear axle) and I swapped the front hubs over the the five lugs bolt pattern also and I’ve swapped in the top loader 4 speed tranny also

I have 3 cars with Holley's on them. They want to die when you slam on the brakes from the float bowls being located front and back { i usually have to put them in neutral and left foot brake and use my right foot on the gas to keep the engine running. i used to have edelbrocks on my cars and they want to kill the engine when you take hard corners. That happends from the float bowls being located on the sides on of the carb.

First off, I’ll take the rust bucket over the G-wagon 😉 And secondly, good to see you and the ‘stang back. Regarding your engine dieing at speed with the throttle closed have you checked the float level in your bowls? In you’re nailing the brakes and the fuel level in the bowls are low you may be going real lean and stalling the engine. Just a thought…
PS - just read the other comments and see I’m not the first to suggest checking the floats 😋

Keep the parking shoes adjusted properly. I'm having to replace the entire parking brake assembly because the shoes wore into the pedestals the slide against. Also apply some brake caliper grease between the side of the shoe and the pedestals.
You'll know you have a problem when you pull your handle and the brake won't hold. Also you'll have very little handle movement.
