Better know how to drive one of these, when the old racers would talk about dancing they were talking about cars like this. Love the vintage stuff.

Gotta love those high winding K -code 289's. Being vintage, you actually have to drive this.

Been to Hallett many times and enjoyed every one, especially vintage Ford and Shelby road racers. Thanx for this video.

This looks like a great event.
I was at SAAC 47 at Indy and flyers for this event were floating around.
    Wish could have dropped by.

Nothing else sounds like a screaming 289. My first car was a '65 Mustang GT, with a Melling cam used to run it right up to 6000, 6500, even up to 7000 once in awhile. Loved that car and that engine, wish I still owned it today!

My first car at 16 was a '66 Must GT K code coupe. I regret selling it.

Fast and very good looking car! These first generation Mustangs are becoming even more and more legendary.. They already are, but people keep a deep and growing interest on them, just as a Boss 302 or 429, a Torino Cobra, a GT40 or right now, the Coyote powered Mustangs. That black '69 with the 169 number looks fantastic too. I wonder how they keep pace with the GT40, a car made specifically for this...
Is she wearing Mustang earrings? That's a true fan...

In the '70s I had a '66 2+2 with the K-code and 4 speed. I thought it was pretty quick. Imagine my surprise when my wife's Ford Edge AWD SUV matches the same quarter mile..

Tire’s have come a long way since the 70’s. Put a set of skinny bias ply tires on that edge and see how quick it is then

That guy is smart he had a Cool Shirt on and for those of you who don't know what a Cool Shirt is they are shirts that after you put them on you hook them up to it's own cold water system and the cold water goes through them little tubes that are running up and down the entire short and in doing so the shirt keeps you much cooler than ambient air and keeps you from fainting while you're out at the race track and you have to be in the car for a while and you have no access to cold fresh water to drink so the next best thing is to keep your core body temperature down

I owned a '65 squareback factory K code. I'd give anything to have it,or my '65 fastback that had a K code drivetrain installed. 7,000 rpm when racing, all the time!

Reminds me of the days of Riverside international raceway, did some showroom stock class cars out there numbering and lettering for the racers.

Didn't want to mess up the 429 likes, for obvious [Ford] reasons, but I also didn't want to "limit the TH-cam Algorithm"
Can't wait to run Hallett in my '67 Coupe [GT 390 3spd]
