I am flying to Mo today to be with my best friend. Her daughter and son in law were killed (they were missionaries) in Haiti two days ago. Your video made my morning, before I leave, a bit better. My heart is heavy, but so thankful for the Hope we have in Heaven.🙏🏻❤️🥹
Oh my goodness prayers for your best friend! I can’t imagine the pain she’s feeling as well as you when you’re so close to each other. Safe travels and May God Bless! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I just love you channel. There is a war here where I live right now and a rocket alarm caught me while being outside with the kids... had to put on a calm face but was so scared on the inside. Thanks for calming me down and putting some joy back into my heart.
I am so encouraged when you say your sourdough sometimes turns out wrong! I feel like such a failure when that happens, but if even the master has a flat loaf once in a while, I think I can go easier on myself. Lol
Hi Lisa! I found you several yrs ago through Jamerrill😊 i bet ppl say that alot, anyway 1st time commenting. I am a little older at 64, my children flew the nest 20 yrs ago and now i cook only for myself and my little Chorkie, Jambi. I had to tell you your videos soothe and even inspire me! Your confidence and calm reassurance with every aspect of your life from cooking to childbirth is an inspiration to anyone with eyes to see. Your entire family is happy and perfectly healthy, you don't hear the kids yelling at each other in the background probably because they are soaking up fresh air outside or supermom has provided educational toys to keep little fingers and mind busy! I have so much respect for you, imo you are one of the best youtubers on the platform and i hope you always stay with us! Thank you...just for you- ❤ Raine
I love watching you make bread, it's so refreshing to see a sourdough baker that bakes the way I do and how our ancestors did - trusting your instincts, no scales and no fuss about hydration levels. I am still getting the hang of the timing of sourdough - I'm not picking it up as quickly as I did other breads and things - it's reassuring to see you move through your flow & know it will come.
Oh my its sat morning here in Tennessee pouring rain I just went out to feed animals fell over my wagon lol came in changed clothes mopped I been binge watching you just watched earlier your vacay video Lisa you are awesome truly in all I say with everything I've watched respect all your just living your life but it is truly just fascinating to watch ALL you do Thank you for sharing
Lisa is my most favorite to watch! Some of the TH-camrs that live off the land or show different views they have they’re also constantly looking for money and I like to help but Lisa isn’t that way and also I love how she teaches us how to fix our homes and…. Well I can’t say enough great things about her there’s so much! Very uplifting also! I’m learning to make my starter so I can make sourdough also. It’s just my husband and I so we don’t need to stock up too much plus we live In Florida and our homes aren’t large enough here. Hope you’re ok after your fall! 🙏🏼
I'm very happy to see one of your older sons helping in the kitchen. So many families don't teach there children to cook. My Mom taught my brothers to cook sew ,iron, clean. she told them she didn't want them to marry someone so they could have a clean house and food. She wanted her boy's to help there wifes. Wow I seen where kiwico sent box to teach them to screen print. that can be used for years. and crocheting, and macrame. these are skills that not many people know how to do any more. I wish they would of been around when I had young kids.thanks for sharing Lisa
My life is so different from you… but yet so the same as i am a busy mom and love to cook/bake for my family. I just need you to know how calming your videos are to me when i am going through so much while being a caregiver for my veteran husband and also trying to figure out my weekly migraines.
Two videos in one week! (feels a little like Christmas :) Lisa, I just want to encourage you - keep up with producing content infused with beauty. It is uplifting. I see you making efforts to not show only perfection. Thank you for keeping the beauty and actually, you have always made me feel (as a perfectionist) that I could just go for it and start trying things out without waiting on perfection. Anyway - in this post modern world - thank you for embracing beauty too. It's needed. Your videos are number 1 on my list and have remained. Other channels I loved as well, because they inspired me for the daily tasks. They have kind of left that first love I think because they felt they had to do something new (or maybe they just found their niche). Reality is though, the daily tasks are still here - so it's nice to have the weekly inspiration. To look at it as a form of worship and service. To find ways to make it through or enjoy. Anyway, my 2 cents! :)
I think it's good that the kids do chores and help in kitchen sometimes. Kids aren't made to help anymore and it shows. The fact that you try to minimize waste is good also. Homesteading needs to be brought back more. Especially the way things are going. Love your videos so much. Your voice is so calming
Love your videos. As an Italian I don ‘t like so much how you use pasta as a side dish but it’s inspirational how you do all that. The word focaccia is pronounced focatcha.

Lisa, I love your channel! I have started baking with sour dough and I have learned so much from you. What I really like about your channel is what a great mother you are. It is clear to me that you and your husband are raising well adjusted, independent children who will possess something that is lacking these days: common sense. I am 66 years old, and my mother was not my playmate, she was my parent. She and my father made sure we were fed, clothed, sheltered and safe. I had brothers to play with and I also learned how to play on my own. We did not have toys taking over the house and we used our imaginations. You are not supposed to be a friend to your children, you are supposed to be a parent and teach them how to manage life. Keep up the good work. PS I LOVE YOUR KITCHEN! I wish I had a big worktable like you do. I do have a big counter area, so I am blessed.
I agree on the bowls❤ I do have lots of quinoa in the cellar to use up. If you are missing sour Cream for tacos, why don't your guests bring that over? The dish I do for impromptu guests is usually quiche. Crustless if Need be. I can make It as Big or small as I want. Other option is Just cut up potatos, veg and meat and bake in the oven. Also soup, I can do a pretty fast One. Or risotto, that feeds lots of people but I have to have parmesan and butter at hand. You are such an efficiente Cook!
As an ex-teacher I am fascinated by the KiwiCo boxes. I’m about to order one for myself😅. I think I could learn something! They sound SO good for kids!

Just a quick question....what is the reason for the candle on the stove? That caught my eye immediately😊
it's just for my own enjoyment.
Thank you for sharing!!!
hey girl- such yummy recipes!😁 great job Lisa🥰
thank you!
Our children have really enjoyed them!
Hi, I wanted to ask you for the link to the linen dresses you order from. They are so pretty. Ty!
