This is literally my dream! I’m 29 & I’ve been praying to become a wife, mother, & homemaker. I know that the Lord has this for me in my future and I’ve been so encouraged by seeing women actually show joy in their lives being homemakers. I’ve started learning and working in my skills so I’ll be ready when the time comes and I’ve enjoyed the journey so far! So many in my generation & younger look at me crazy when I say that I want this life. Yes I have multiple degrees, yes I like my job in higher Ed, but I’m living my plan B right now; if marriage doesn’t happen for me, I will live the life I have now. But being single, child-free, with a career isn’t my dream, it’s not my plan A, it’s just a reality of my current circumstances and I think it’s more than ok to want to be home and cultivate a home and care for your family. It’s a necessary lifestyle that is just as important as being a career woman.
I will be praying for you to have to the life that you want. I know what it feels like to be in your shoes. I dreamed of being a wife, mother, and homemaker. I used to wonder if it would happen to me too. By the grace of God, it did. Keep praying for God knows the desires of you heart.♥
I know some also very decent, nice and intelligent homemakers have to find a job because husband's income cannot afford the whole family. Actually this homemaker youtuber is a very lucky one. She got lots of income from youtube by her talents and also by sacrificing so much privacy. I also know a friend that she is a homemaker for such a longtime and had several kids, but her husband simply disappeared, and she got 0 money from her husband after divorce because that man filed bankruptcy. Her husband suddenly tired of seeing so many kids in the house.
Until your dream comes true you can still be busy at home. Still bake, cook, etc and bless others. So many need a little act of kindness. You can even work with a kids group at your church. Teach them how to bake something and such.
Lisa, You have inspired me so much with your videos and website over the years. I have learned so much, but I have never commented. So today I want to tell you that you are a true inspiration for homemaking and motherhood and creativity. I am in my 60s now and have already raised my children, homeschooled them for a time, and was a special needs teacher for many years as well. My favorite job of all is being a mom, grandmother and homemaker! I am a widow now and I live alone, but have my grown children nearby and my grandsons come visit a lot. I cook with them and gleen so much from your ideas. I have a small garden, einkorn sourdough in the fridge and many of your inpirations all around me. I also run some air bnb rentals on the side. I have enjoyed your cottage, organization and decor ideas. I just want to take time to thank you for sharing your ideas and lifestyle and especially all of your cooking tips. Your efforts are so appreciated! You are making a difference in this world. God bless you and your family as you welcome your 8th beautiful baby soon. -Donna
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such encouragement to me...I really appreciate it!! I enjoy hearing from all of you and learning more about your lives.
There is just something about "peeking in" to see what's going on at the Bass Farmhouse that feels like stepping back in time. A simple, comforting, and welcoming moment...thanks for that Lisa. God bless!
I love that you go barefoot everywhere on your homestead! That’s so cute! Can not wait for this new baby to come💕 we’re pregnant with baby #5 and we’re so excited!
I've been a homemaker for many years. The other day I thought how wonderful it is to have a place to make lovely for your family. It does not matter if how big or small your family is, it's nice to create a cozy place. Thank you for your terrific video. Blessings to you as to prepare for your new baby.
Wow mama how on earth do you manage it all! My youngest of 6 kids is now 7 and I swore never ever again! Haha I just want to encourage you and edify you to let you know you are amazing, a super warrior mom, an encouragement to many! Nobody will EVER know the endurance of a preg mama of many until theyve actually been there. I KNOW those last weeks are horrendous. I pray you have help and are able to give yourself the grace you deserve. Aweeeee big hugs!!! (been watching for years feel I know you 😂❤)
@@gegeschannel8836Literally us to most of us women. I am 6 months with my 5th baby. I just baked a pound cake with fresh whipped cream and berries while barefoot. I played this in the background. I love it. It is what I was built for and blessed with. Why would it not be a compliment?
This is what I dearly wish I had learnt growing up. Ha ha I’m pretty sure we’re around the same age, but sometimes I like to imagine I’m your daughter watching you cook and keep house, just absorbing it all. Thanks Lisa 💜
Love how you’re making a bouquet while sitting outside watching the kids. Such a great use of time. I almost always get tripped up and frustrated with balancing watching the kids and getting things done. Even if it’s making a bouquet. You feel more accomplishment and creative doing something like this. This is definitely something I could accomplish.
Ok, I don't normally rewatch YT videos, but I have watched this so many times. It's relaxing, aesthetic, and I pick up on something different every time I rewatch it!
I love all of your videos, but really love several of your latest so much! Very warm, inviting, and cozy. You are the Queen of Sourdough for sure Lisa. Thank you for sharing your antique finds.
I follow so many of your friends Lisa and I have to admit, I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when they all visited. I so wish you had all recorded some of your time together but then again, I'm glad you all took a break, together, away from filming all the time and filling yourselves to give back to all of us. Love hearing about it just the same.
Thank you for making videos I can sip my morning coffee watching and feel inspired to tasks at hand. Today I paused half way to mow, lightly clean and finished up with 2 hours until I have to leave for work. My babies are adults now, their childhood passes in the blink of an eye, so I love to have a home they come back to for rest, recharging and something special prepared to nourish them made with love. ❤
Thank you very much. Watching your video I realized that this is all I always wanted, to be a mom and a homemaker with a happy family and big farm house full of life, little babies and love... Young people like you give me hope!
I so enjoyed your video Lisa and how you cook. My mom never measured anything. She came straight from Italy at age 27. Straight off the farm in Italy to a farm in America. She couldn’t read or write English but she could cook, garden, can and knit, sew and crochet without patterns. She would count the stitches on a doily and do it. I still have a set of homemade knitting needles she made out of a clothes hanger. You remind me so much of my mom,😊
I find using sourdough straight from the fridge very convenient during Summer. I feed it, put it in the fridge and it still rises on a slower pace because the weather is so warm. That way I don't have to worry about using it before it is over fermented. I loved this beautiful homemaking day in your cozy home! ❤
So inspiring and beautiful! I am thankful that you share the beauty of motherhood and homemaking and homeschooling! Most our children are adults. I have one teenager left. When I was in the thick of it like you there just wasn’t anything out there to encourage and enlighten homemakers. You have upped my game and helped me to make my home beautiful just where it is. Take care!
Lisa, you have so many amazing talents! I couldn't do half of what you do in a day. 😮 Even when I was younger, I did not have your kind of energy. Bravo!! ❤
Lisa...you are amazing. So much talent and with skill to match. Not to mention...so much energy! Your family is blessed to have you. I just saw your family photo ... really beautiful. Your husband and boys are so handsome. I love those cute little blonde boys. Your daughters look just like you. They are beautiful. God bless you and yours every day. Thank you for all that you share with us.
Joshua Weismann is so funny and a brilliant chef. Your home always looks so beautiful and relaxing. Theo’s little sun bonnet looked so cute on him. Tfs Lisa, praying for a safe delivery of baby 👦 ❤🇮🇪🙏

I love your channel and lifestyle. I have one daughter who just turned one. My question is how in the world do you have time to do everything you do and watch your little ones? I find myself rushing to do anything during nap times which is less and less these days. ❤

I need your energy. So glad to see a young mom doing all these lovely things with there kiddos. I love all the lovely things that you make for your home. It's so me, but I don't have your energy anymore.
Theo is the cutest video bomb! In that little pool, playing with the water hose, I’m dying here!!! 🥹 I love, love, love your videos that show days around the farm. I like one pot pasta meals also! That’s how I fix my spaghetti every single time. Instead of water I use a quart of my canned tomatoes or a container of V-8 juice. The noodles absorb all that delicious tomato flavor. Yummy! I also am not a purist when it comes to tricks that save me time and dishwashing! Your bread looks stunning! 🥖💕🙌🏻
This was so enjoyable to watch. What a beautiful home! ❤ We have lived in an old farmhouse for the last 23 years and love it. I took so many decorating idea from this video. Thanks for the inspiration! 😊
I love all of your big baskets with lids! I can never seem to find any around my area that do not cost an arm and a leg. So excited for the new baby!!!❤
Thanks for the Cajun pasta idea. I had a bunch of andouille I’d thawed and needed to use. My husband talked about grilling it but didn’t. I ALSO needed something I could throw together quickly before I left for work. So, I took the initiative and made a really tasty one skillet Cajun pasta. I am ALSO a fan of one skillet pastas and am not strict about authenticity. ;) My only complaint was I wished I had had some green bell pepper. Maybe next time. Thanks again!
I use this way with the plated pastry, and use sausagement with sage and onion stuffing mixed together and spread down the middle and plate the pastry it’s really tasty
You remind me of myself. Im in the beginning of my 3rd trimester (almost 30wks) I'm huge and ALWAYS barefoot. But I want to be more like you in homemaking. Im just getting started with sourdough. But ive been learning so much from you!
hey girl- loved the video! Such yummy food! That one pot pasta dish look amazing😀😉 I like to just throw stuff together like that a lot😁 Can't wait to see the new baby when he comes and hear what the what his name will be. Praying for you Lisa. Y'all have a wonderful weekend🥰
I would love to live this life. I would love to learn this from you. No amount of TH-cam videos can give me the tips and tricks to live this life than you can give me in person. In love with your videos.❤
The new hardware looks great. I just started watching you after you popped up on my feed. I subscribed and look forward to going back and catching up. I went to Joshua Weissman's channel and couldn't find the One pot Cajun pasta meal. Maybe there is a secret to finding specific recipes on his site. I look forward to trying your Challah recipe also.
Your challah looked amazing. I can’t wait to try your recipe. We love making French toast and cinnamon bread with ours. Love your approach to being a homemaker.

This house looks still so spacious even with 10 people live in :) Fantastic job you've done. Love you and your family! God bless you all :)
Love the new hardware. Love you channel
That pasta looked great
I need your energy. So glad to see a young mom doing all these lovely things with there kiddos. I love all the lovely things that you make for your home. It's so me, but I don't have your energy anymore.
Thank you so much!
Glorious…absolutely glorious!!!! ❤❤❤
This was so enjoyable to watch. What a beautiful home! ❤ We have lived in an old farmhouse for the last 23 years and love it. I took so many decorating idea from this video. Thanks for the inspiration! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Theo is adorable
I love all of your big baskets with lids! I can never seem to find any around my area that do not cost an arm and a leg. So excited for the new baby!!!❤
I use mine from the fridge! I keep a dry starter too ☺️
Thanks for the Cajun pasta idea.
I took a break to sit and watch this but you inspired me to listen while I gave bathroom a once over. Now back to my dehydrating process. Thank you
I use this way with the plated pastry, and use sausagement with sage and onion stuffing mixed together and spread down the middle and plate the pastry it’s really tasty
Sounds great!
Lisa - I always greatly enjoy your videos, but especially your encouragement of homemaking and homemakers. Thank you for sharing. ❤ xo
I vacuum out my drawers, then wipe… Easy!
You remind me of myself. Im in the beginning of my 3rd trimester (almost 30wks) I'm huge and ALWAYS barefoot. But I want to be more like you in homemaking. Im just getting started with sourdough. But ive been learning so much from you!

I miss your antique hauls! Thank you for sharing again.
You are so welcome!
I love this kind of videos that you make ! So inspiring !

Enjoy your daily life videos.
Your challah looked amazing. I can’t wait to try your recipe. We love making French toast and cinnamon bread with ours. Love your approach to being a homemaker.
There goes all your roses. Oops, lol. (Boys and pruners)
