Confirm request... that with a more flat exh. roof/ceiling it will trap more spent gasses at/near combust chamber/squish area. Conversely with a more curved/ arced exh. roof it will scavenge more efficiently and leave less spent gasses mixed in with the fresh charge? Ogden Saw Works

I love your explanations. Would you do a video about single rings vs double rings and your opinions about it. I think there a lot of misunderstanding about friction and heat loss and the reason for most new stuff that has two rings. I don’t believe two rings cool the saw more. Great videos 🙏

Several years ago a well known saw porter said the MS461 likes a lot of intake duration.
That came to mind when you pointed out the narrow intake port on the 461 cylinder.
From your experience, how do you feel about that statement? Really curious.
    Great video BTW.

I'll only lower the intake if I machine the base on those. I don't go huge like some, but I definitely have more area when I'm done. Everybody does it different.

Hey Sir, I noticed on the side-transfer-closed-port cylinders, that you don't like to take the opening down toward the base. I also saw this in your 395 video. Can you explain please?

I usually don't lower it, just clean up the lip. I do relieve them toward the front of the case to direct flow. Maybe it helps direct the charge to the spark plug and help scavenging maybe not. They seem to run pretty good tho.
