I'm not even a dancing person, came here because I'm looking for a way to keep my leg straight while doing pistol squats, but gonna stay for a while, I love your energy and teaching skills
This was difficult for me but I loved trying to get my leg extension. Much work needed on me. You have great instructions, cues, and videos. Everything I try I love. Thank you so much.
This lifting leg in the front seems so stuck and hopeless, thank you for this instruction. Yes, I have also noticed the back muscles help, which is not intuitive.
There are many muscles involved in lifting one leg. Usually we are so concentrated on the one making the action, that we forget about everything else… BUT everything else is exactly where the attention should go. Glad the video was helpful! 💕
love your hair- It's been a minute- I haven't taught my classes (Ashford Fitness Society) since 3/27 after falling & breaking 2 limbs- Starting back 9/04- ty for all you do x
My darling! I was wondering what happened to you!!! I’m glad you are back in one piece! Take it slow and look after yourself!!! Love and healing vibes coming your way! 💕 Alessia
Glad you enjoyed it my dear! I’m curious, What did you find most useful? 💕 Oh! 💕Thanks about the hair! ☺️ And for the dress we have to thank Ak Dancewear akdancewear.com 💕💕😘😘😘😘 Love Alessia 💕
What is always impressive is your approach to break down ballet movements, nevertheless one is always encouraged to think of oneself and move oneself as a In this episode you broke down the leg extensions by not starting from the floor, but by placing pointed foot on a chair. To Start the extension from the height of the chair and not from the more challenging movement from the floor encourages us all. Thank you again for your intuitive teaching methods that can guide us to success. ❤@@lazydancertips
Oh thank you for this excellent detailed description of the movements. So often I am at sea about what exactly I should be aiming for. The engagement of both legs, scapulae, head ‘ above the water’ etc. I learned more from this than I have learned in many many classes. Thank you. Not a ballerina but a fitness enthusiast and I do ballet exercises a lot. From Canada.
Hi Alessia, thank you for another beautiful lesson! Your instructions are really helpful!! And yes, it is my dream to have my ankle right next to my ear one day!! Also where do you buy your dance apparel? I love it! Thank you! 🌹❤️
You are most welcome my dear! I’m so happy the instructions are helpful! I cannot wait to see achieving your dream! And it definitely can come true!!! 🤩💕 The leotard in this video is from from AK Dancewear akdancewear.com Alina has some great outfits in store! Lots of love Alessia 💕💕🤗😘
i can lift my legs pretty high when they r not extended yet but i can never fully extend without wobbling around n falling apart. u mentioned using the strength of the quads but my teacher taught me to use hamstrings and not to use the quads how is that?
Squeeze bum, push away from floor, squeeze your abs, push on the chair, squeeze your inside thighs, engage the back, lift your chin and lift those legs! Puuuuuush! Woohoooo!
