Being a INTP is weird to explain, you... feel an emotion for a person/event but then your brain defines it with a textbook definition and it suddenly means nothing to you, your feelings are melted by objectivity
yeah! yeah, that's me I never understand people who have no idea what they're feeling in books, I am able to recognize and analyze my feelings to the point that they are purely objective
My roommate once heard me having a discussion with myself at 4 in the morning, the embarrassing thing is that I was playing the parts of 4 diff person. She told me she prayed for me.
This me every time i be alone at home but after i make sure there is no one at home. I have a huge conference with many persons telling their opinions. Sometimes it gets overwhelming to the point i stop thinking bcs it is too much thinking
That's why I always locked my self in my room. IDK why I talked to my self or my imaginary friends everywhere I go. And when I'm studying I like talking to my self too.
As an INFP, I could still relate to both the personalities how they're depicted in this video. INFPs can be analytical too and they aren't really those little sunshines like described here. Sometimes they may seem childish or naive, but they have a lot of thought going on inside and being childlike is a good way to hide from having to accept the world that is just too strict with everything. They are sensitive, really sensitive, but they aren't helpless, they're just holding back most of the time because they don't want to hurt the other person with what they know can and will hurt them emotionally. ...I'll make a cut here. Thanks for reading I just can't get over being depicted as sunny and lovely as this seems lol
Childlike behavior as a way to shy away from the truth?? Nahh!! Sooo....get this yo....we are all Children at our core, and life is, by and large, not something that demands 'seriousness' in order for u to live tour best life. Very, very few things in life are anywhere near being justifiably labeled as 'serious'. Plaufullness, cgild-like imagination, wonder, excitement, the mystery of the unknown, the call to adventure! Light-hearted loving empathy with silliness in great abundance seems like the best way to be in life if u ask me!! Serious people be thinking the most ridiculous shit be of upmost importance and trumps all of that 'childishness'...then society goes and backs up that insanity. I Say no more!! Let me get stoned in the woods and exist and be silly dilly and spread loving kindness dammit! Is that asking so much??! Is it??! Cause my god society is not about me being me, specially these days.. lol.. so I go harder!!! MUSHROOMS RULEZZZZ!
@@timsell8751 I love your view on that! Next time someone asks me, I'll tell them exactly that. You just have one life either way, so why not live it with fun and childishness instead of focusing so much on material things and your social standing :D It's not gonna make you happier and you can lose it much faster than your memories :3

As an INTP, I really hate when some people tell me that I'm heartless or emotionless while I can become an ultimate sweetheart when watching a movie or supporting a friend. I just like thinking rationally rather than judging according to emotions in general, oh and I like using sarcasm a lot. And also thank you for the 2k likes! It's really surprising that my thoughts were understood or even shared by some people lol. Remember to not judge someone by their type but by how they use their functions 🤝
When i got my MBTI results and found out that i was a INTP, it kept on saying i was a person who doesn't handle emotions and feelings well and because of that people seem to feel misunderstood by me. I mean, the best i could do is read the situation and apply everything i learned into it because hell no feelings are the worst.
Yeah.....but unfortunately, many people see INTPs to be insensitive and emotionless, they don't understand that we prefer thinking and don't mean to offend others. Also when an INTP tries to fix a problem ,people think that this INTP is cold and heartless.
Hey guys, INFP here Sometimes even I get confused about who I am? I can be very rational at times but I also use values and morals too. I even get confused if I am infj or infp. I want to tell you that don't let those four letters judge you. It's okay if you sometimes feel emotions and are typed as a thinking type. There are billions of people in the world and no matter how rare your type is you have still got a million like you out there but that doesn't mean everyone are same, right?
I've never been called heartless or emotionless before, or at least not that I remember, but I'm sure I've met a lot of people who thought that I was annoying or a brat just because I preferred not to talk to them or acted really awkward around them, seemingly on purpose.
@@stephaniehickner8585 I've taken thee test several times and different versions of it. It's always a toss up between the two. Depends on how I interpret some of the questions.
I have tested INTP and INFP at different times, and let me tell you, I believe it; I relate to literally every statement in this video. The INTP in me will start debates with people...and the INFP in me will hate myself for disrupting the peace... I'm a writer, often plotting out all the details and themes of the world I write...but when it comes time to actually write the story, I literally just sit down and start typing, without thinking too much about the structure of the story, quite literally making it up as I go along. I sometimes think the T and F in me are in constant war...lord knows how it'll end...
INTPs may have "intelligence" but INFPs tend to have "emotional intelligence". INTPs at their worst are the neckbeard armchair internet warriors thinking you can beat everyone with logic
Art is really a pattern in expressed state - what has a harmonious pattern looks artistically beautiful and functional. Patterns are not lines & circles - as an artist you might have a better understanding of it than I do...!
yeah, i actually never understood when some say "this piece makes me feel this or that" bro i dont feel anything?? when i see a painting i look at the symmetry, patterns and proportions, if their technic is good the art is good what else is there to see?
Yeah it's true . One of my friend was judging a student for a very simple thing. I dont know why that made me so angry but i bursted out and scolded her in front of every one in my class . I am not someone who involves in any kind of argument even when someone talk shit behind me i keep quiet cause i'm scared of confronting them.so this made my friends soo surprised.
I’m an INFP and this one guy I really liked was INTP. We had such great conversations- deep and meaningful and then silly, lighthearted, playful conversations too. 🙋🏽💖✨✨
For those who aren't sure which one you are, learn about the cognitive functions. INTP: Introverted Thinking Extraverted Intuition Introverted Sensing Extraverted Feeling INFP: Introverted Feeling Extraverted Intuition Introverted Sensing Extraverted thinking. INFPs and INTPs are similar in ways because the positions of their Ne and Si are the same. So the differences are in the Ti/Fe for INTPs and Fi/Te for INFPs. The reason you can oscillate between being a thinker and a feeler is because we all have a "thinking" function and a "feeling" function. Everyone has emotions and values. But INFPs are more in tune with their own emotions/values and INTPs are more affected by others' emotions/values (albeit awkwardly). INFPs form their logic and reason based on popular data from outside themselves (and this is not their strong suit, but it's also not impossible). INTPs tend to form their own subjective logical framework based on all the information they've obtained up to this point throughout their entire lives, along with their own personal experience and what makes the most sense to them based on all of that. Our thinking and feeling functions are just the things that determine our decision making process. Do you make decisions based on what seems to be most logical/rational to you (Ti/INTP), or do you make decisions based on your personal values (Fi/INFP)? Also take into account that an INTP has extraverted feeling, so that will play a part in the decision making process, caring about how their decision might affect others (but this will be secondary to what is logical to them, and if they make their decision based solely on how it might make others feel but going completely against what they think is rational, it will not feel like a good decision and it will feel like a part of them is dying inside). INFPs can also care about how their decisions might affect others, but that is only if one of their personal values is to care about how they affect others, which of course can often be the case... this is why it is so confusing. INFPs are probably trickier than INTPs because anyone can have any personal values. Someone with introverted feeling as their top function could have logic and rationality as one of their core values. But INFPs are much more likely to not do things they simply do not want to do. As an INTP, I barely know what my likes and values are, but for the things I do like/value, I can give reasons for all of them. From my experience with INFPs, they tend to have very strong values, but when you ask why they have those values, it is often very vague, or when you ask why they like something, often it is just something along the lines of, "I don't know, I just do." This is generally speaking. Just remember that just because you hate math and science, it doesn't mean you're not an INTP, and just because you like poetry/music, etc, it doesn't mean you're not an INTP. And vice versa. The personality types are based on how our brains work, which will play a role in what we like/dislike, but not 100%. Think about how your brain works. There is no "right" answer, and no cognitive function is better than another, just different. And no two people are exactly alike. You are you, no matter what your type is.
The best explanation out there. I hate how people box personality types based on stereotypes, like INTPs seem like the smart type so I'm sure they love Math and Science while F types are so nice and sympathetic. I've been so confused about my MBTI since I've always had INTP with all scoring at least 80% consistently. But I'm pretty good with handling people, so am I an F then? But I am very rational with decision making to the point that even if I don't want to do it but it's the most logical action I'll do it. But anyway, these kind of explanations help clarify that MBTIs are kind of like a basic guidelines, but not really a specific kind of profiling that narrows people down into flat 2D characters as if we've got no individuality at all.
As an INFP that likes debates, debates are totally fine. As long as both parties maintain their manners, remain open minded, try to see things from each others perspective and are able to accept that opinions can differ from person to person due to personal beliefs, and taking into account how other people feel when you say those words, debates are totally fine!
I agree! But sometimes its rare to see that kind of people in the internet since I haven't seen one. It always end up that my opponent will insult me and didn't respectfully understand my points while I remain with logic and perspective.
@@elgatokinnie9482 I know right?!?! I think that's cause overall the internet is really toxic and has tons of gross people, which honestly also matches up with the amount of horrible people I find overall in real life. Most people I find on videos like this tend to be fairly nice and understanding though. So many people are ignorant and disgusting and to see people embracing harmless opinions on things and being open minded really intrigues me and helps remind me that life isnt a 100% disaster at least :)
@@tararosabelle7368 Couldn't have said it better myself! I have a question for you would you rather have a pity compliment over than a constructive criticism to improve your appearance? I recently have a debate with a girl who says im being too harsh and saying she's not pretty enough but my advice isnt even that harsh i even complimented her features if she go on a diet and feel better for herself if that what she wants. Then i hit her a question that she cant answer: 'Then, would you like an oversized person and say he doesnt need to change because his already perfect?' Ironically, that's basically saying that is the best her appearance that she can ever do for herself. And you know what happened? Instead of answering my question she insulted me and called me a rogue. Cat got her tounge huh KEKEKEK- And she never replied to me for hours now. What a hypocrite, but for me i know what's the difference of pretty in the inside and on the outside. Can't handle criticism then you won't improve. Its dissapointing when you're making good points then the other side will just dissmiss that and will focus to the other sentence that i've said which may have more loopholes. When I contradict every single thing she said. But for the benefit of the doubt, maybe she's just too sensitive or she's feeling attacked or she prefers to sugar coat things rather than saying the truth because of her high morals that result flattering her ego because of her 'good deeds'.
As an INTP, I do try to force myself to be more social with coworkers I barely know. But when I spend too much time with them, especially when I don't find them interesting, I easily feel tired and leave. But when it's people I do enjoy their company, I want to stay as long as I can
I really try too, and i can even came across as an extrovert, as acquiring experience from error and success trough my social relationships i'm constantly subtly thinking and analyzing what to say and how to behave to not look weird, but as you can imagine that is so damn exhausting, and when I get home after going out with my friends for a day, im so worned out that i don't even want to talk to them for a couple of days, and i only feel like myself when i'm alone eating whatever i like, googling random shit, and writing, reading or learning random stuff just because of it, with not a single person around me
INTPs aren't unemotional. We have emotions. We just resent having to perform them in a certain way before they are acknowledged as valid. Just because our face doesn't match what the social bell curve says it should look like when a person feels "love" or "sadness" or "joy" doesn't mean we're not feeling it.
A while back our cat had given missing and we had been out of town. When we came back our neighbours told us it had fallen inside a certain "cavity" between buildings is what I'd say. But she disappeared after they had checked on it. My sister and I went looking for it. After a lot of efforts we finally heard that she was still inside that "cavity" and we finally found her! (complex process but irrelevant here) Guess what? My INFP sister was crying and sobbing on seeing her again. (We literally raised her since she was a kitten). And I was standing there with her like 😐🧍even though I was relieved and happy inside. She came home and told everyone how I just stood there emotionless while she was sobbing 😂.
THANK YOU for saying that! If you don't audition for a role on Broadway, people will actually side with the offending party just because they act more wronged 😒
@@fauzanree1983 I get what you're saying. Sometimes I think the majority of the population is the feeling type and makes everyone else feel inferior for not being as emotional as them. Sad part is, as an INTP, i can do a pretty good job of imagining how others feel. In short, i would say that as an INTP, our saying would be "I can imagine but i can't relate". I can guess how others will react and feel but i do not feel the same way. Also i don't think that makes us any less human.
I’m INFP. I love art, but enjoy playing games like chess, and philosophy. I hate debates, I find them a waste of time, but sometimes I do find it fun to discuss things with my friends we don’t agree on. I’m a massive introvert, but once you are friends with me I’m like an explosion!
You consider them a waste of time because you are too arrogant and whiney to notice that you don't need to be a bottle in the river going through life. That's why you don't work and that's why you don't have an effect. You just rationalize your awkwardness with "waste of time", instead of becoming rational. To make matters worse, you yourself just described a negative feedback loop, where you yourself show how with your own decision-making you condemn yourself to suffering. Yes, you did. I don't understand why anyone would want to become intellectually dead by their own choice, locked into their dogmas that have no translation into reality. I lied. Just don't ever blame others for things that seem obvious to you, because propably you are the one in the wrong. I won't say what I deduced this answer from. I'm just worried that someday you'll ask me how to do something, I'll tell you, then you'll do the opposite because you're doing what you want and you'll still be mad at me. Because I was right. Good luck. Good luck in solving your first problem. Good luck solving your first problem before it escalates into dragging others into your one-man horror show from thread B. That's what I wish for you. Because I already know. The only thing I don't know is when. If you don't change the status quo, you're in a negative feedback loop that involves resistance to status quo change and stalled development. You will start to think that the world is hurting you when you are hurting yourself. And you will hurt others because you considered discussions a waste of time. But you'll get absolutely nothing out of it. After all, it's a waste of time.
I also find debates being a total waste of time, as if you’re going to change someone else’s opinion who haven’t already convinced themselves. They have to make that change by their own accord and if they truly are curious and want to know more to make an informed opinion - then they will.
"Instead, infp's tend to be drawn towards the arts, poetry and music" Me: *Drawing, while making stories and my head and songs that got stuck in my head are playing in the background*
as an intp the spending hours learning about random topics part is so true. i wanted to learn more about space so ive pretty much spent most of this summer on websites and watching documentaries. im thinking about combining my research and creating a poster or video out of it idk lol. i did this in the past with snowy owls and flowers, its a hobby of mine i guess lol
I really thought I was the only one who did this. I can spend days researching certain topics of interest like philosophy, spirituality, universe, different countries and cultures, psychology, history, etc.
As an INTP someone can be yelling in my face and I’ll have just a complete poker face. Then I say “sorry I didn’t realize that would upset you” in the most monotone voice imaginable and then they’ll get even angrier.
I'm an INFP who often scored as both types depending on the test. I have also had many people tell me they thought I was an INTP based on my overall vibe. The thing that helped me was understanding that F is not necessarily decision making based on emotions, but your own feelings. It's very much subjective & personal criteria, as opposed to T's objective criteria. Both T & F are rational functions, they just operate based on different criteria. Looking at it that way, it was easy for me to figure out that I use Fi & not Ti.
Me, an intp: Ok, let's do my homework, I have to be very focused if I want to finish on time. Me five hours later: I got distracted watching a program about unsolved crimes, so I searched for documents, interviews at the time, interrogation with the witnesses and everithing I could find... and now I think I solved the case ...

I have thought I am an INFP, but I allways had problems with this "thinking or feeling". I do both all the time. I can not separate them in my life. This video helped me very much. I don't remember my test result details, it was a long time ago. Maybe there was not big difference in F or T. Somehow this was very liberating for me, as funny it may sound.
*You cannot be both* I am also 55/45 and *I am not INTP and INFP, I am just INTP* People tell me that I am like f-ing 80% INTP! The test leads you in the right direction but if you want to know who you exactly are read some papers. Or get feedback from someone who is really into MBTI stuff.
Not to mention... if you read INTP INFP INFJ and INTJ you can relate to all of them on the 16 personalities website, they're really vague. I actually find some youtube videos from people interested into MBTI more accurate than what's on that website... or just read some research papers... 😅

Me (INTP) and my friend (INFP) once had a whole 2 hour talk about all kinds of phylosophical things and how we view the world. It was so interesting but we also got to the point where our heads were spinning from all the thinking. We came to the conclusion that everything is similar in a different way and different in a similar way🙃
What a great life when you found your personality partner. I've found my own too but sometimes I'm INTP sometimes INFP and my friend is INFP. It's true we can discussed and did so many things in a long time that related with our study (arabic, memorize quran, social life, etc) in the dorm. I'm really grateful like God gave me heaven before I die xD
Im an INFP. This reminded me of who i am. I'm really in conflict with myself because I'm forced to live out the expectations of others for me. Thus, I'm confused of who I want to be because I don't believe in myself anymore.
I totally understand. But you have to remember that your life is yours and the best way to live it fully is to be completely yourself. No matter what people say.
ME, except that instead of expectation of the outside world (other than school, work, society as a whole, etc.) it's ME putting these bars to MYSELF, and it will never end.
I can identify with a lot of stuff with INFPs and INTPs. It kinda helps to show that personalities are very fluid and can’t be restricted to one set of thought process.
1. inquisitive / artistic 1:41 2. contemplative / value-driven 2:48 3. argumentative / unity 4:01 4. external control of emotions / internal control of emotions 5:06 5. internal control over thoughts / external control over thoughts 6:32 I hope I could help! :D -INFJ
INTP is calm and collected in a debate until someone calls them "stupid" or "you are clueless, you don't know what you're talking about", etc, and it's going to be personal (and they may show who the stupid one is), this is where a calm and collected INTP can look downright temperamental, they're gonna deal with you seriously. Also, many INTPs are artistic. If an INFP uses art as a way to channel their feelings, an INTP uses art to channel their creativity or just plainly a hobby. I am not into art in the sense that I admire paintings or whatever, but I do love doodling/drawing, and I do love art, but only my own kind of art (which is in the realm of Si in this matter). Another thing, INTP categorizes and compartmentalize things in their heads, they see the world using Ti and Fe perspective which make them ok with categorizations, meanwhile an INFP will refuse to be categorized, due to FiTe dynamics. Fi upholds "uniqueness" and is against (or opposed) to Fe that tend to group people (because Fe and Ti are always paired, whatever Ti thinks about, is manifested by Fe). INFP as Fi dominants will oppose Fe in categorizing people. So, an INTP will open mindedly welcome MBTI (that was initially based on Fe perspective, Jung was an INFJ), meanwhile an INFP (and all other Fi people) will (usually at first) be staunchly against it until they understand what MBTI is. If someone's reaction to grouping people based on types/categories seem to offend them, that person is highly likely an Fi user.
Really? I’d be more likely to completely dismiss their argument as an ad hominem than become temperamental. In any real world scenario, if someone presented an argument in such a fashion and didn’t reframe it after acknowledging the fallacy, I’d probably internally decide they aren’t worth speaking to. Of course, to each their own! Just my own thoughts.
I’m an INFP but when someone pushes me to the point I snap, I’ll usually get a little too frustrated trying to explain my point of view, and if they can’t respect me despite my beliefs I’ll just try to ignore that topic or person
@@joscelynhamilton3602 for the INTP its the specific insults regarding their intelligence, because of Ti's tendency to see itself as "intelligent" and everyone else is "stupid", much like Fi people believe their own morals are the standards (they may deny this, however). As for the rationale behind why that happens, is because subjective functions are directed toward the objective (external) world.
When intp show their feeling is like the end of the world, I remember I destroyed my classmate in a debate, I feel happy that now he became one of my friend. But my words when I am emotional always hurt people
I can think logically as an INTP but act irrationally even though I’m aware of it. Like if there is a reason for me to be angry I’ll act angry because it’s expected.
I often try to mirror the other person’s emotions, because if I just behave naturally I make people mad or sad. They think I don’t care when I brainstorm solutions to problems instead of just commiserating. 🤷🏼♀️
I always let out one quick angry outburst, then move immediately into trying to talk it out. That way I don't seem like I "don't care at all" and can still get to the bottom of whatever is going on!
INTP here with an INFP partner. Idk why they're not considered an good match romantically. However, I will say that the INTP will have to do a greater amount of work to understand their partner and might not get that same understanding in return, or as quickly. It's important for an INTP to develop themselves emotionally before they engage romantically with an INFP. It's also important to maintain individuality and set boundaries. My girlfriend and I just have to say "I need some IT" and we'll part ways for an hour or pursue our own interests quitely in the same room.
I feel like I am mix of the two. The first time I ever took the test, I got INTP and 6 months after I took another one,I got INFP. From what is described here, I have similarities with both of these Personality types
Same I took test year ago and it was result INFP after year I am INTP and I feel like I am both. I study video editing which is art and technical too.... I wanted to be astronomer when I was child but my mom loved art so I am artist.... :/ .... But If I could choose again between physics and painting or some stuff like this I would choose physics...
I fell like I’m a mix too. When I first took the test I got INFP (I took it multiple times and got INFP). When I read the description of INFP it shook me because it resonated so much with me. But when I took the test again a while later, on a different site than the first, I got INTP. Reading INTP description I relate to that also. I feel like I’m an INFP that has a strong logical/rational thought process. The way I think buffers some of my INFP.
I think you can't be both... You should search more. Some information in this video is wrong. For example, my interests are art and music, but im an intp, not an infp
Same!! I've noticed however that my result has changes over the years, and my understanding of MBTI is that the different indicators aren't dualistic but run on a scale, where you end up behaving differently depending on situation (e.g. being ambivert)
I’m an INTP though I think I was an INFP a few years ago, since now I don’t really show or know how to express emotions, but back then I was really emotional and always dreaming and writing, now I still write, but I try to be more realistic. I love science, history (Depends), music, writing, reading, and all that, so I’m an INTP with some INFP traits since I’m still pretty empathetic to people and I’m still a bit of a people pleaser, but I’ve grown out of that. My dad and I are INTP and we always get into arguments 😂
@@G0dspeed101 the thing with mbti is that you're not strictly either one personality type or the other. You are MORE of one than the other. Which means you can have other personality traits, but you can't be 2 personality types at the same time. For me I'm an INFP but I have some INFJ traits.
I always get typed INTP / INFP on traditional tests and INFJ on cognitive functions, but through more “careful” (obsessive) analysis I think I might be an INTP. I relate a lot to aspects from both and though I consider myself an empathetic person, I’m not amazing at dealing with emotions. Everytime people tell me about their problems, I can always see a solution but my attempts at emotionally supporting them don’t always come out right. I’ve also always preferred learning on my own because I just can’t take information and apply it without making sense of it and breaking it down into a set of principles (otherwise I just forget about it later). Whether it’s my hobbies, what other people are doing or my own thoughts, I’m always analyzing everything in one way or another, so I often find myself observing what I’m doing through the lens of a teacher or a critic while learning something and I find that to be much more effective than just being told how to do things.
@@indigofenrir7236 that's usually not how TH-cam comments work. Usually if there is something notable in the video, people talk about it, regardless of whether everyone already knows it.
Because people don't do anything they don't get any benefit out of. Comments are mostly about how they are. Internet isn't about appreciation but rather about self promotion
Same! I love coming up with ideas and thinking up stories, but putting them down on paper is difficult. And God forbid anyone should *ask* me to write. That's even worse. I love writing, but I can't do it easily.
OH MAN I love brainstorming but writing is harder... getting my ideas and thoughts to one place is difficult thus why I never finish my stories. And I hated writing narratives or memoirs at school, where you have to write your own experiences like 'what was a life-changing event'? LIKE I'm too young and still haven't experienced enough! BESIDES my life is so boring that there's NOTHING to write.
I've been taking their personality test regularly, every year or so. And I've found that I regularly go back and forth between INTP and INFP, which is hilarious. And I've taken it to mean that I've been juggling both the left and the right sides of my brain really well. And that's always been the goal, isn't it?
I literally feel like both and I’ve heard that when this occurs between these two personality types, a new personality type is born INXP. Edit: I seriously can’t chose which one I am between the two I lean more towards INFP but I have a lot of INTP traits as well.
I was searching for a comment exactly like this. I identify myself as an INXP which is a combination of INFP and INTP. I relate to all the traits of both MBTI types and switch according to situations around me. When I am alone and in my own world, I am an INTP. I love philosophy, science and analyzing things. But sometimes I also love music and art. I always have conflicting thoughts in my head with my INFP self. My two personalities are always arguing about things. I am both a feeler and a thinker. When I am with my close ones I an an INFP, and when I am with strangers I switch to being an INTP. I don't completely rely on identifying myself with MBTI types because I feel like I don't fit completely into one stereotypical personality type. I feel like I am so complicated to understand even to myself. I have a lot of empathy for the needy yet I do not trust people very quickly and I take a lot of time to get close to someone. I am very kind and understanding yet I do not show these traits to people I am not familiar with. I read people's character traits very well before I can even talk to them. I do not want them to take advantage of me. And sometimes if situation calls me to say no or be rude, I won't hesitate. But I also care about not hurting other's feelings in certain situations. Some might say that I incline more towards a specific MBTI trait but I think I am a combination of both INTP and INFP and just switch according to situations.
When taking the 16 personalities quiz online I have floated at 51-49% for Thinking/feeling respectably. I don't entirely know if I am INTP or INFP, and have switched between the two every time I have taken the test.
It's hard when you're an introverted extrovert XDD You want to socialize but you're too shy to talk to anyone except to your close friends who you always babble things about
This is a great video, though it should be remembered that the interests that are often associated with these personality types aren't always applicable. I'm an INFP who finds fun in both the arts and in the sciences. I love writing and drawing, but finding interesting subjects to learn and talk about is fun to me. My dream job is actually in microbiology!
as an intp who's favorite color is purple, and my boyfriend who is an infp and his favorite color is green, I appreciate the color scheme of this video.
so is it safe to say that intp and infp are very contradictive? i can imagine someone being the least bit aggressive with me and i can overthink it for days. but still, i think every types of personalities have their own pros and cons, everyone is good :) i believe if people understand what you really meant they will understand you more
If someone was being blunt to me and I took it offensive, then I would probably overthink about it for a long time, until it really bugs me and talk it out, like 'hey, I didn't appreciate when you said ___' but I also want to see their side, maybe I'm wrong too, because I know I'm not 100% right. But if they sincerely didn't mean it or meant it other ways, then I would listen and actually want to hear it, because I'd hate that myself. I hate it most when I'm misunderstood and taken from a wrong side when my intentions were good. I don't want to be seen as having bad intention, because that was not at all what I intended. So I would listen.
Being an INTP is no excuse to not increase your social skills. It might take longer than for others but it goes a long way to not insist on not changing but to swallow one's own pride and to practice social interaction in order to make occasional socializing more fluid. Cheers, a formerly socially awkward INTP that chose to improve oneself and now is often considered highly sociable. It's just practice that makes life so much better.
@@laaaliiiluuu agree. I'm working on it too. Tbh, I need to read a lot of books about self improvement in the beginning and analyze people behaviors why they do this and that and how to avoid being seen as mean, etc. It took me about 2 years, but I'm confident enough to socialize rn, even tho sometimes I'll still standing on the corner of a room when most of the people there I haven't known.
I don’t really want to just win my argument, I want to walk away knowing that this guy will never even try to have another argument with anyone ever again.
Exactly! But then some random illiterate mf jumps up and ignores every argument I made with at least hundreds of times of researching, distorting everything I say and counter-argumenting me something they made up in their mind... I'm just leaving them as what they are with the most dismissive look I can make.
@@weirdnerdygoat I love arguing with people, mostly just because I find enjoyment in proving people wrong, but I get overwhelmed from it and too emotional especially if it’s an in person argument
Hell Yes! it's underatted af! I try and start an argument with people but they all take things to seriouly =( sorry, it's just nice seeing someone who gets the goodness of arguments
I'm an INFP but more often I spent my spare times by reading and learning stuffs like astronomy, biology and history :D I do consider myself as very creative and imaginative but I'm not that artistic except for architecture, cuisine and music :3
I'm INFP and I enjoy social sciences and astronomy and astrology. I play piano and have a Kpop violin/dance cover channel but not good at composing probably b/c I have not been trained in it.
Surprisingly, event though I'm an INTP, I love art and music although the other INTP traits do fit. Specially the independent thinking part. Like, how is that so true? Whenever a teacher or anyone who's supposed to teach me something makes an error, I can easily see it and tell them, although some people despise it, or in the other way, like it and for that reason want me to be around. The way you explain psychology is really cool!
As an INTP with ADHD I struggle with emotions a ton, I never stop analising people and things, I love music, art and science. I love reading books etc etc but I feel like im inbetween or something Edit 2: I am a confirmed INTP so yeah :D Edit: Why are ppl still commenting :')
I'm also a intp with adhd, I usually do have the urge to debate about things I'm interested in, but every single time, I tend to be blocked by someone speaking before I do, which causes the train running around my brain to just stop
Same! It’s really hard bc I feel like I start loosing the sense of everything. I’m definitely an artist and I hate when I get the stereotypes bc art is literally the way I can deal with getting my emotions out wether that’s through music or poetry. But, I don’t believe I’m in-between I just think hobbies shouldn’t be added to the personality types, that’s a personal thing. I lost my original point again but I hope it made sense.
I am all the time max 54% F or T. One time INTP, one time INFP. Cognitive functions test - same. Ti and Fi similar scoring, but here I almost always have result: INTP. I classify myself as an INTP, the more intuitive one. I am emotional, neurotic, logical and artistic at the same time. I think the difference between an INTP and an INFP, however, is that INFPs feel emotions all the time. I rather feel nothing in a neutral state, but where there is emptiness, there are fluctuations ;) What I mean is that I don't feel emotions 24/24, but I do feel very strong emotions when there is a reason. These are very strong emotions. I try to control myself, but I'm just too emotional and my emotions influence my decisions from time to time. But at the same time, in many situations where others panic, I stay aloof and think what to do. I can also often suppress emotional noise, but nevertheless sometimes it causes emotions to only grow displaced until they explode within consciousness. I think I have a tendency to grip and shadow at the same time. I fall into the shadow probably because of my neuroticism, in such a way that I equate my anger with a shadow. I would even say that I am sensitive and hurt easily, but only if someone is a close person. Every single stranger or person I know, but not close one, cannot hurt me. Loved ones can do it very easily. I try to be conciliatory, although it is not always successful xD I think all of this contributes to my testing being so close to the middle in T / F. Various people who know MBTI at least a little bit and have written with me often laugh when I tell them that I have considered myself INFP vs INTP. They say I can't be an INFP and it comes to know me straight away. And I explain to them that I have always seen myself through the prism of artistry and emotions. They say they see an INTP in me, or possibly an ENTP. Well, I'm so introverted that I'm definitely I. I have known MBTI myself for over 6 months. During this time, I absorbed a lot of knowledge on this subject. The first two months were definitely the most intense, when I was able to gain knowledge(articles, videos, later books) on this subject at any free time, during the weekend I was able to spend, for example, the whole day with only breaks for peeing. xD All day long, I mean, I woke up and sat down to do this and learned until I didn't have to go to sleep. I don't know how many hours, but a dozen for sure. I was learning and considering various theories during this time. Personally, I like the 8-function model. The unconscious is very interesting.
@@PLAYERik I'm INFJ/INFP and over 60% F but I resonate with INTP as well b/c I have Sun sign, ascendant and Mercury in Virgo which means I'm analytical and I feel like I get analysis paralysis at times. I learned in my NLP program that I both feel and think a lot. I think most of us tend to get hurt by close loved ones. You really devoted a lot to learning about MBTI! I'm still surprised that I've been in self-help for years but the coaches/therapists haven't really talked about MBTI, although I've heard about Astrology/Numerology/Archetypes/Mind types/Enneagrams. Maybe MBTI is already known by the general public even though most people just got the summaries. What is the 8-function model?
@@mindsoulempowerment8842 All INFJs are analitical because of Ni dominant function, and Ti tertiary. Ti is dominant function of INTPs - thats make INTPs so logical. INFPs have no Ti, they have dominant Fi, they are analitical too but not same way. Its complicated. I am not mathematical, but still calculate a lot when making decisions. Pros and cons. I would say that also the strong difference between INTPs and INFPs is that INFPs feel if something is good or bad. INTPs see most things as gray. This does not mean that they never feel that something is good or bad, but for INTPs that is not enough, they have to ask themselves "Why?" "Why do I feel something is good or bad, does it have any logical cause?" It is similar with emotions, where INTPs try to logically explain their own emotions like: "My emotional reaction was probably caused by an external stimulus, while my psyche, secreting specific hormones, makes me feel that something is wrong." INFPs and INFJs have not same functions in stack. 4 functions of: INFPs: FiNeSiTe INTPs: TiNeSiFe INFJs: NiFeTiSe As you can see INFPs and INFJs have no functions in common. 8-functions model is hard to understand for beginners. If you don't know jungian cognitive functions thats when you need to start. You can check out the websites like psychologyjunkie and personalityjunkie. I also recommend the book: "My true type" by Dr. Drenth. In 59 pages you will learn a lot about cognitive functions. The problem with 16personalities is that it does not take into account functions, but rather a dichotomy. The function tests are not very good either way. Then it is necessary to learn about the position of the function, i.e. what the same function does on 4 different positions in the stack. For example, both INTPs and INFPs have a Ne function in the second position. This second function is the "auxiliary parent"(Archetype), for both of them this function is Ne (extroverted intuition), which means they help others in a way that presents them with many alternative possibilities. They tell people about the possibilities they have. For example SOMEONE: "A girl broke up with me" INPs: "You can try to get it back, or you can find a new one, or you can just focus on yourself and not look for anyone." Of course, the difference is that INFPs are more likely to provide emotional support, but a conscious and developed INTP can do it too, although in its not entirely counseling way. For example, I will just hug someone. I've learned that it's better than words and then just wait for the person to cry out and I start showering with possibilities. The 8-function model, on the other hand, is complicated and poorly understood, so there is a lot of room for interpretation, which means that, unfortunately, everyone understands it a bit differently. This model says that everyone has all 8 functions, but 4 of them are displaced to our unconscious. These features still influence our actions, but we are not aware of it. In the 8-function model it looks like this: INFPs: FiNeSiTe FeNiSeTi INTPs: TiNeSiFe TeNiSeFi INFJs: NiFeTiSe NeFiTeSi So functions 1-4 are conscious (4 is the least conscious, so often called subconscious), and 5-8 are unconscious, called also shadow functions, and this is your "shadow type". (Thats mean shadow of INTPs are ENTJs, of INFJs are ENFPs, of INFPs are ENFJs) For example, the function in position 6 is called the critical parent. It is a shadow/mirror image of the auxiliary parent (second function). So if my second function is Ne, then my sixth function is Ni. We use this function negatively to criticize ourselves and others, and we are not aware of it. For example, for INTPs it looks like we criticize others for not deducing something like "Are you stupid? How could you not have foreseen this ?!" We criticize ourselves in the same way. This may look like criticizing "not thinking" of course, but in fact, calling someone stupid can be due to various reasons, and it is very common for INTPs to call someone stupid for not dedicating something, not predicting something (or not having a goal or dreams too) INFJs, even if they would criticize someone in this way, they would be more aware of it (because we can criticize people for different things with different functions), then the sixth function has the form of a criticism that we give, and we are not even aware of it. Well, unless we get to know the 8-function model and realize it. But we still probably all criticize people in this way, except that now we have a better chance to refrain from it, or at least apologize right away when we say it. Shadow functions can also have good use, but it's hard to learn this. P.S. Fi-users (ie INFPs) will often say that this is severely pigeonholing people. Their Fi is strongly against this, because individualization is important to them, while Ti-users (like INTPs) want to classify and close everything as precisely as possible. (Still with an open mind). For example, it was not enough for me to learn about MBTI and functional models. I became interested in the differences within one type and I want to divide it into sub-types. This is what Ti does. best regards and have a nice day :)
@@virgocancer3964 you still can't be both. It's all based on cognitive functions. Though perhaps you're not either, given your lack of knowledge and intelligence
I did a test and I got being INFP, and everything except being organised in the video suits me really well, but I'm also really bookish, and good at academic type stuff, etc, like a typical Ravenclaw. However, I do kind of think empathy is foremost when making decisions so that's probably why I got INFP
For instance if someone is sad, INTPs think that the person should stop reacting to the situation in a way that makes him/her sad - instead of empathizing with them, they might try to logically convince the other person why they shouldn't be sad. Of course they are right but not everyone can understand such a thing...
I’m literally smack bang in the middle. I have strong interests in both science, philosophy, psychonautics, spirituality, and art. I like to do scientific illustrations and speculative evolution. Art with philosophical/spiritual themes. I have no idea whether I want to go down a career path of science, conservation, or art.. ugh
I'm kinda like you. I'm working on becoming a coach/therapist who combines scientific and spiritual approaches as well as perform music on the side. I also recall a guy in high school who got into Johns Hopkins medical school who also got a top award in art. That could make sense. I recently saw a medical Kdrama in which the main female character who's a hospital intern is great at drawing diagrams of the human body. You can find a way to pursue all you want if you're a Renaissance person like Da Vinci. Maybe make science documentaries/films and be a freelance artist. Be creative and you 'll find your way.
I did the test multiple times and each time time I either got INFP and INTP which made me confused. While I have a few traits of INTP but I feel as if I'm closer to INFP as a whole and this video cleared things up so thank you :]
up until college, i felt that something was wrong w me because i can't socialize that well. it was so overwhelming meeting new people. i'm slowly learning to love this side of myself
INTP here... absolutely sucks to be such a rare type, especially now, in the midst of a misinformation pandemic and a tidal wave of conspiracy nut bags...
They got it right with Blutness and tactlessnes. I would have said "in the midst of mass mis(or dis)information campaigns worsened by the large resurgence of conspiracy theories to the general populace." But Yeah yours is much better! 😅😆🤣👍
I've seen my bluntness and tendency to lay into someone who I feel is asking for it come out more with what's been going on lately, and I'm supposedly the gentle, contention-averse, peace-at-all-costs INFP!
Form your choice of words alone I can tell which side of the debate you’re presenting your opinion from. Using the terms “conspiracy,” and “misinformation.” But, conversely, those on the -generally left- side of debate are also a nuisance to the INTP thought process. Openly accepting all regulation without question is an argument based on appeal to authority, and so both sides are driving me insane. Really wish people were open to a risk/reward discussions about policy. But every time human life is a factor in that discussion, most people tend to massively sway to a particular judgement call that isn’t necessarily efficient. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts, since I can usually relate to people on these threads a bit better!
@@scott8934 Have you Heard of Quora? Talks of the risks and rewards may be heard to come by but some spaces are made for that. Go to Reddit you can easily get kicked out. TH-cam your comment can be easily reported without a good way to appeal. The latter problem stated on how easy it is to get something taken down without a good way to appeal is a problem on Quora but that depends on your view stated and the type of space. For example, I had recently joined a Space on Gun Control I already walked in as a Admin with a nuanced view I left with a even more nuanced with more questions then answers. Finding out to be an INFP was a real blessing. I watched your 16 personality Video, made the test, read the result and suddenly all made sense. Even if this is nothing highly scientific, it helped me understanding myself and my needs better and reduced a lot of Stress in my daily live❣️🐣💕 And I absolutely relate to this video as well xD
As an “infp” i just gotta tell all my brothers and sisters (and to anyone else who needs this :) out there to not be too overwhelmed by all the stereotypes for your personality type. I know it seems obvious but i used to be obsessed with mbti and it was making me depressed because i was unhappy with who i was. Just remember that these are very vague and hasty generalizations and most people are more of a blend of various types (though you can gravitate towards one, remember that it cant describe the whole YOU) Dont let your type bring you down or limit yourself from being the best you that you want. Thanks for viewing my psa.
thank you so much for this , ive always hated being an infp ,and tried so hard to change it that it became overwhealming, frustrating and made me exahusted, but this helped me a bit to accept it.
@@bilbloblep6769 Ah, me too... I remember trying so hard to change it, but it only has as much importance as you give it. Please don't think of this as your only defining trait. I like to think of people as mosaics; that they're made of a lot of little things and no one thing should take such a big part of that art piece. And besides that, no matter what mbti type you wanted to be, it would have never been what you wanted if you were unhealthy. What I mean by that is, that even if you were your 'ideal' type, if you didn't love and fully accept yourself for all the flaws and insecurities that come with being human, then you'd likely feel the same as you do now. What I want to say is that loving yourself is important. You have a lot of value that you need to see in yourself, even if you might deny it. Because you're human. I don't think you'd think of others as 'less worthy' simply because of what they got on a test that isn't the be all end all. I know I certainly don't see you that way. Please learn to forgive yourself and love yourself because you deserve it
I'm an INFP and I love to be one. I think we are very unique and adorable in many situations without trying. That is recognized by others ofc. I do have lots of insecurities when it comes to act the proper way in a social place, among relatives, or classmates, or just any other situation. Tbh I had to research alot about these things that come naturally to others. I wanted to be less socially awkward and it kinda helped me. All I *sometimes* dislike is being introverted but that is something I also do like. I wanna be the best version of myself so I do personality development to improve myself as a human being. I think the most important part is to embrace and accept our strengths and weaknesses. Being aware of it, we can get help from people that are the opposite of us and thus might be good in that one specific field. We are not meant to get everything done by ourselves and that is fine. If you e.g. feel like you are an emotional rollercoaster in a situation u definately shouldn't be, it's not like you have to stay that way. Personality development comes a looong way and you learn selfcontrol and also selflove. See it as a blessing to be you. Because just like clouds, there's only one You exiting in this world, in the shape, form, mentality, culture, experiences, knowledge and everything that makes you, you. Embrace it, appreciate it, work with it, and improve it. And everything you are not capable of, accept it, embrace it, ask for others help and learn. Acceptance is the first step of selflove.
I am an artist, as an INTP. I'm into painting, writing songs and texts, dancing, acting, and so many other artistic hobbies I do have. I am NOT unemotional, I just have other ways to let my emotions flow (aRT). And I don't consider myself intelligent, but wise. I know a few things from my experience and what I went through in life, and from a lot of research on random topics on Google lmao. I don't know if that makes me the least INTP of all, but I totally relate to my personality type. Not ideally related, but pretty overall related.
reverse too, INFP but even if i like music and i draw a little bit (of realists things, i can't do with my imagination the translation is horrible so i need my eyes) i'm more into puzzles, strategy board games with my brothers or question games (not with arts those questions are always impossible! and not sports i don't care about it!) but most importantly learning useless facts from here and there, mostly biology or history 👀
Being an INFP studying a science, more specifically chemistry, I feel like we are rare in these fields because most others are a personality type with a T I found out when we had to take the test in high school (went to a STEM high school), but at the same time though it is very useful, if not straight out needed, for a scientist to be highly creative and it can be a strength to have a feeling personality type, also in science fields.
omg Im an INFP who is passionate about chemistry too! I am kinda nervous doing lab practicals because I’m slow and I tend to daydream a lot, but when it comes to exams, I often get the highest marks :) Stay strong my fellow infps!
Super interesting video. I have now done the Myer-Briggs test 4 times with 2 times the outcame of an INFP and 2 times the outcame of an INTP type. For me, Feelings and Logic are exactly 50:50 (so in the test it was 51:49 or the other way around) and interestingly I see myself exactly between both types. The video makes it easier to understand the whole thing. Point 1-2: I'm definitely more with INTP, with 3 definitely with INFP, with 4 I'm in conflict with both types, and with 5 I'm more with INFP (but it's also more of a mixture)... Fascinating. Thanks for the video! It makes me understand my conflict a little better =)

I’m an INFP-T but I’m also an empath so I have a lot of emotions all the time. I don’t shy away from arguments and I’m always able to back up my point with facts and evidence, but I’d rather not do that with my friends. Knowing that my friends have conflicting views on topics I see as very black and white can make me question their overall values and the argument can be become very heated as I get frustrated and stressed easily. That being said, my arguments, though supported by facts, are almost always based on emotions. I find things like the trolley problem easy as I always focus on the emotional impact of my decisions, so saving 5 ppl will always hold more value to me than saving 1 as 5 ppl will have (theoretically) 5x the amount of emotional and close connections. I will still pick 5 over 1 when I know that person, as I value the emotions of 5 ppl over my own.
I’m an INTP and this is spot on. Also, i have 4 water signs in my birth chart with day 5 and lifepath 1 traits so… I get very emotional but I don’t let it get in the way of deductive accuracy and I never show my emotions to “outsiders” (Lol). I enjoy my alone time, getting lost in ideas and thought experiments, chilling with trustworthy, honest and adventurous people, strenuous mental and physical exercise and I talk to myself all the time (this way I always win the argument). Oh and I dislike clingy types because I wouldn’t know how to deal with them. I have always enjoyed competition as long as I find the rules of the game to be fair and love being outdoors. When it comes to friends/family I rarely get intimate or let it get to that point because I hate the idea of losing my independence and the idea of a relationship sort of irks me probably for aforementioned reason. It’s true that I’ve pissed people off with my blunt honesty but offense was never the intent and I always see the one who is offended as being too sensitive which is typically the case, no lie. Anyways, INTP is me in a giant nutshell. 👌

Hey guys, INFP here
Sometimes even I get confused about who I am?
At this point I’m not sure whether I’m an INTP at INFP.

For those who aren't sure which one you are, learn about the cognitive functions.
INTP:
Introverted Thinking
Extraverted Intuition
Introverted Sensing
Extraverted Feeling
INFP:
Introverted Feeling
Extraverted Intuition
Introverted Sensing
Extraverted thinking.
You are you, no matter what your type is.
this makes so much sense, thank youu
Well written
👌🏻 excellent explanation!!
Thank you
The best explanation out there.
Yes, exaclty!

I agree! But sometimes its rare to see that kind of people in the internet since I haven't seen one. It always end up that my opponent will insult me and didn't respectfully understand my points while I remain with logic and perspective.
@@elgatokinnie9482 I know right?!?! Then i hit her a question that she cant answer: 'Then, would you like an oversized person and say he doesnt need to change because his already perfect?' Ironically, that's basically saying that is the best her appearance that she can ever do for herself. And you know what happened?
(complex process but irrelevant here)
Guess what?

Maybe you might want to retake the test, because I know personalities sometimes slightly shift
Same but I do checkers and I love to read
I'm an INTP and I love writing songs, writing poems, listening to music, and singing.
Same!! I've noticed however that my result has changes over the years, and my understanding of MBTI is that the different indicators aren't dualistic but run on a scale, where you end up behaving differently depending on situation (e.g. being ambivert)
Both husband and I are INTP. You can imagine how our arguments go.
lol ur so lucky ur arguments must be fun! When they aren’t serious yk
@Just one more thing I don't think that's an argument
I’m an INTP though I think I was an INFP a few years ago, since now I don’t really show or know how to express emotions, but back then I was really emotional and always dreaming and writing, now I still write, but I try to be more realistic. I love science, history (Depends), music, writing, reading, and all that, so I’m an INTP with some INFP traits since I’m still pretty empathetic to people and I’m still a bit of a people pleaser, but I’ve grown out of that. My dad and I are INTP and we always get into arguments 😂
@moon dust Maybe, tbh I’m still having trouble telling the difference... Like I have both personalities in a way..

I definitely get misunderstood because I’m blunt... Everyone thinks I’m mean.
so is it safe to say that intp and infp are very contradictive? i can imagine someone being the least bit aggressive with me and i can overthink it for days. but still, i think every types of personalities have their own pros and cons, everyone is good :) i believe if people understand what you really meant they will understand you more
If someone was being blunt to me and I took it offensive, then I would probably overthink about it for a long time, until it really bugs me and talk it out, like 'hey, I didn't appreciate when you said ___' but I also want to see their side, maybe I'm wrong too, because I know I'm not 100% right.
Ok, is there's no one who got 49% logical and 51% feelings just like me ?..
I did, you're not alone!
I rather feel nothing in a neutral state, but where there is emptiness, there are fluctuations ;)
What I mean is that I don't feel emotions 24/24, but I do feel very strong emotions when there is a reason.
I try to be conciliatory, although it is not always successful xD
I think all of this contributes to my testing being so close to the middle in T / F.
The first two months were definitely the most intense, when I was able to gain knowledge(articles, videos, later books) on this subject at any free time, during the weekend I was able to spend, for example, the whole day with only breaks for peeing. xD
All day long, I mean, I woke up and sat down to do this and learned until I didn't have to go to sleep.
This does not mean that they never feel that something is good or bad, but for INTPs that is not enough, they have to ask themselves "Why?" "Why do I feel something is good or bad, does it have any logical cause?"
It is similar with emotions, where INTPs try to logically explain their own emotions like: "My emotional reaction was probably caused by an external stimulus, while my psyche, secreting specific hormones, makes me feel that something is wrong."
INFPs and INFJs have not same functions in stack.
4 functions of:
INFPs: FiNeSiTe
INTPs: TiNeSiFe
INFJs: NiFeTiSe
As you can see INFPs and INFJs have no functions in common.
For example
SOMEONE: "A girl broke up with me"
INPs: "You can try to get it back, or you can find a new one, or you can just focus on yourself and not look for anyone."
Of course, the difference is that INFPs are more likely to provide emotional support, but a conscious and developed INTP can do it too, although in its not entirely counseling way.
In the 8-function model it looks like this:
INFPs: FiNeSiTe FeNiSeTi
INTPs: TiNeSiFe TeNiSeFi
INFJs: NiFeTiSe NeFiTeSi
So functions 1-4 are conscious (4 is the least conscious, so often called subconscious), and 5-8 are unconscious, called also shadow functions, and this is your "shadow type".
(Thats mean shadow of INTPs are ENTJs, of INFJs are ENFPs, of INFPs are ENFJs)
For example, the function in position 6 is called the critical parent.
This may look like criticizing "not thinking" of course, but in fact, calling someone stupid can be due to various reasons, and it is very common for INTPs to call someone stupid for not dedicating something, not predicting something (or not having a goal or dreams too)
INFJs, even if they would criticize someone in this way, they would be more aware of it (because we can criticize people for different things with different functions), then the sixth function has the form of a criticism that we give, and we are not even aware of it.

Form your choice of words alone I can tell which side of the debate you’re presenting your opinion from. Using the terms “conspiracy,” and “misinformation.”
But, conversely, those on the -generally left- side of debate are also a nuisance to the INTP thought process.

Finding out to be an INFP was a real blessing. I watched your 16 personality Video, made the test, read the result and suddenly all made sense. Even if this is nothing highly scientific, it helped me understanding myself and my needs better and reduced a lot of Stress in my daily live❣️🐣💕
And I absolutely relate to this video as well xD
INTP with an INFP best friend here, I'm definitely telling him about this

Can you confirm the signs?

As an “infp” i just gotta tell all my brothers and sisters (and to anyone else who needs this :) out there to not be too overwhelmed by all the stereotypes for your personality type.
I know it seems obvious but i used to be obsessed with mbti and it was making me depressed because i was unhappy with who i was.
Just remember that these are very vague and hasty generalizations and most people are more of a blend of various types (though you can gravitate towards one, remember that it cant describe the whole YOU) Dont let your type bring you down or limit yourself from being the best you that you want.
Thanks for viewing my psa.
@@nectar2636 I relate to your comment so much bruh, the stereotypes suck
thank you so much for this , ive always hated being an infp ,and tried so hard to change it that it became overwhealming, frustrating and made me exahusted, but this helped me a bit to accept it.
I'm an INTP and my hobbies involve arts and solving puzzles.
edit: well i guess it's not strange, is it
same hereee😝
Same
reverse issue here, I'm more infp but enjoy solving puzzles and knowing about philosophy as much as art and music
Strangely ???😂😂😂
Very funny
reverse too, INFP but even if i like music and i draw a little bit (of realists things, i can't do with my imagination the translation is horrible so i need my eyes) i'm more into puzzles, strategy board games with my brothers or question games (not with arts those questions are always impossible! and not sports i don't care about it!) but most importantly learning useless facts from here and there, mostly biology or history 👀
Truely rare
omg Im an INFP who is passionate about chemistry too! I am kinda nervous doing lab practicals because I’m slow and I tend to daydream a lot, but when it comes to exams, I often get the highest marks :) Stay strong my fellow infps!
can relate as an INFP vet major student :D
INTP here, also in the chemistry field but I am a creative as well. I love drawing/creating art.. now im wondering if im INFP or a mix of both? 😅
As an infp who is passionate with Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, I totally agree
This animation is the cutest thing i've ever seen!!!!!
At least somebody talked about this...👍

I'm an INFP while my sister is an INTP. I always consider her as my lifetime best friend, we truly understand each other despite our few differences. We love to observe people and surroundings, then judge them together. Lol. ✌️😶
Wow u are so lucky my sis is ESFP ...and I'm INFP ...she never understands that I need alone time to get recharge ..and i always end up feeling bad that I cancel plans all the time
No one would truly understand you better then an ENFJ, I'm an INFP and I have a ENFJ older brother, and we are compatible.
I'm an infp with some intp traits. My dad is an intp and we get along like buddies. :3
