I think a distinction needs to be drawn between a secret area, which devs intended players to interact with, and just boundry breaking.
And mods flat out shouldent count

You dont come to gameranx for good content ,you come here to have filler background noise while you roll a joint.
You actually do get a pretty good reward for the secret room in Control - The Aerobics personal mod, it restores health every time you dodge, which can be handy.
I loved the secret areas in Serious Sam The first and Second encounter, specifically the secret areas that defied gravity, walking on the walls or ceilings all in one room.
For cyberpunk, the only hint for changing time to 4am is a promotional song called 4 am by grimes that is in the game and plays on the radio. Not sure of the connection though

Batman Arkham Asylum the secret room in the warden's office. Nobody knew it existed until the devs mentioned it SIX months later lol. It gives insight into what the warden wants to do in the future leading to Arkham city

That Cyberpunk room is hit or miss - one of my characters has been there dozens of times at 4am and the door never unlocks. I have a feeling there's more criteria than just showing up at 4am

Nobody does secret areas like Fromsoft. It's not even the fact that they have a lot of them but the fact that literally some of their best areas are behind like 2 Illusionary walls or some place you'd never expect is just crazy
Facts finding out about Ash Lake by myself the first time is one of my proudest moments in gaming history
I remember in blood borne there was a secret area you were taken to if you got killed by one of the monsters that have those sand bags . You wake up in a prison , really high level area it was pretty cool

Dude... Splinter Cell... those were the days when Ubisoft could do no wrong with games like Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Prince of Persia, and Beyond Good and Evil (a grossly underrated game)... What happened?

I was expecting to see the hidden 4th district of GTA3 that we can sort of visit if we can manage to fly with the Dodo plane (which is very difficult) or using mods.
That hasn't been a secret for over 20 years, and it sadly disappeared on the "Defective" edition.
meowjima saying "hat kid chan" is also a similarity with majima calling kiryu "kiryu chan". even though i dont play A Hat in Time, i do play kiwami series, and this footage just gave me a smile
Rush2049 an old school arcade racer has a secret part of a map that was a huge crazy freestyle area. Man I loved that racing game. They were unique by allowing you to use wings to control the pitch and angle of your car while in the air allowing mad crazy stunt combos.
When control popped I thought it would be about that creepy maneki neko room in the other dlc. XD that room is surreal to say the least
Along the same lines of the Arkham City glitch area, in Skate 2 you could use a launch glitch to get outside of walls and if you did this on the DLC parks that were brought over from the original Skate you could actually skate around large chunks of the original map albeit it with some wonky collision detection

The Archon and Anguish secrets in Remnant 2. That stuff is pretty arcane to figure out.
The fan made mod for Resident Evil 4 should not count as it's not an official secret made by the developers of the game, or else you can literally go on about every single mod that fans make for any game that also has a "secret area"...

whoever first figured out the clock thing in control is a genius for real, i never had a clue, i found the clock room by mistake but nothing in that room really gives you clues on how to do the clock puzzle, just a completely crazy puzzle
Isn't Grimes' song 4 AEM part of the videogame's official soundtrack? Maybe that's the key to knowing when the door should unlock for #10?

I actually found the cyberpunk weapon in some kind of whell where they dump cars and people in Dogtown. I fell in it by accident and decided to dive a bit.
Resident evil four HD project was one guy… for eight years‼️ that’s dedication. of course it’s only available on PC not any of the consoles.🤷♂️

Control's is interestin because you literally must go out of the game to find the solution and even if you find the code (even with some help) and you are proud of yourself, you find out that this was nothing against all the other things that ae out there (I only say ARG). This game was so a litlle my access point to this kind of secret code, hidden lore, etc.

Currently playing Elden Ring. Keep smaking random walls and yeeting moonstones off ledges in case there's a secret room.

I would never make a video revealing a secret like that in a game as new as spider-man 2. They're still doing patches on that game. They'll likely patch it out.

Sara Kerrigan really pissed me off. They said to protect her, so I did, my defenses killed everything on the map, there was absolutely no way the zerg could've taken her they were 100% dead.

Old school. Everquest, Befallen zone, there is a secret room with cat pictures lining the walls. When you zone in, stick your face in the wall to the left and you'll see the dev / guide room lined with cat pics.

Ive literally been to a hole in the wall behind a bunch of rundown warehouses club in atlanta just like the cyberpunk one, except bigger,and it was both scary and fun cuz the things i seen in there were lets just say very not legal

CS 1.6 had a level that started out in the leg of an oilrig when I was 14. That got removed.... Wasn't realistic at all... but It disappeared.. Kept looking for it when I started working offshore... But the level is just... gone... Began working offshore to get time for my gaming. Where the fudge is my odd 8 bit workplace? I get it now with 200 russian d'rone passes a month, but still!
Okay the RE4 thing with the HD mod on PC, I had no clue about until I saw this video and I myself have 100%'d that game.
