Purchase a 1794 4x4 crewmax for the room.
Tundra 'Double Cab' has the most back seat room of any current full sized extended cab truck, plus a full 'standard' length bed. While the CrewMax has generous rear seats for sitting, if you fold it up for gear and stuff, that seat intrudes significantly into the cab space. The Short bed is a compromise as well. Double Cab for Contractor or Business, CrewMax for Homeowner. Nice choices to have.

Man they need the crewmax in a 6.5’ bed would be the perfect truck. I’ve got a double cab and there is no way I could sit in the backseat for any length of time
Until you have to park it in standard size parking lot. Current configuration is just long enough to fit bumper to bumper without sticking out to far to get clipped by another car.

Jeff, If I ever buy a 3 ton pickup, it is going to be able to carry a full sheet of plywood INSIDE the bed. It has to be the Double Cab with the 8 foot bed.
My dream truck is the SR5 Crewmax with bench seat in the front to seat 6, 4x4, and led light upgrade. Oh and can't forget the Magnusson supercharger.

It would be nice if one could get a 6.5'bed with a crewmax cab. You can get that in a dodge and I believe some of the other lines of trucks too.
Buy the way old school the short bed is 6' long bed 8'.
I need both the big cab and the 6.5'bed. 8' bed would work even better.
Do not forget to mention the payload difference in between the 2 trucks; the double cab has more and to my opinion is better for towing, specially with the 38 gal tank!
Looks like it does tow 700 more lbs. I am towing probably 6-7K so I will be under the capacity of both.

Can you compare a SR Double cab & SR5 Double cab if possible
So I keep thinking the double cab second row is small, but I think it has more room than my frontier crew cab. My kids are young so I’m thinking about getting the double cab.
Thank you for putting the front seats all the way back. Every other car reviews say “this is how much room in the back seat with the front seat in MY driving position.” Just put the seat all the way back so anyone over 6’ knows how much room we get.
Less obvious points to consider:
Crewmax holds significantly higher resale value. But! If you fold up the rear seat for cargo space, it sticks out much further into the cab than it should.
Tundra Double cab has more back seat space than ANY other cab-and-a-half. It folds up in a very slick way. The seat back angle is much more comfortable than others, too.
I like the Crewmax better. I need the double cab more.
does the crewmax have the option of a 6th seat?

Only reason I bought a crew max was because of the rear ac vents ... family gets hot down here in texas... i wish the crewmax had at least a 6.5ft bed....

I've driven on 10+ hour trips with 2-3 people in the back of my DC. They all tell me its one of the most comfortable back seats in a truck they've been in. I'm sorry but unless your obese and don't have the front seats jammed and leaned back like a complete tool its perfect. Also would like to add that the men with us are all 6'3+...
Random but I have a tundra tss crew max. I wanted to get some seat covers for the front seats. Do most seat covers fit the seats? Asking cuz I don’t want regular ones I’m trying to get nerdy ones lol

Double cab looks 10 times better stock and when leveled/lifted, Plus the bed space is perfect. Crewmax looks like a minivan that a recently divorced dad with 4 kids would drive IMO.

I got the doublecab cause I use it for work. More bed space and can easily fit 3 adults on the back unless they're very tall lol (I'm 5'11")

I’ve always bought the double cab. Looks fine either way just need the space in back for a lot of reasons. Most involve all my different outdoor activities. Hardly have anyone ever sitting in the back but when I do someone can still sit behind me if needed and I’m 6’5”

I don't like any truck with short bed at all there is not much room, if it's a truck it need a normal bed size because I will use the bed more often than the back passenger seat, I don't buy to show I buy to uses that's what truck is for

As a very tall man, 6’6”. The Tundra’s borderline front leg room doesn’t make sense relative to that massive backseat. The reason they can’t compete with the F150 is because they don’t have enough front legroom for a truck that size.

Lol. 46k is high but I bought a 2019 1794 4x4 with 2750miles for 43k OTD. The truck was originally sold December 15th 2019 and traded in March 2020. Yeah, save some cash and buy used but make sure you get one still under manufacturer warranty..

He spoke correctly at 08:20. Torque is either ft-lb or lb-ft and are products, not ratios. lb/ft or ft/lb, as you wrote are meaningless here. Power would be ft-lb per second. For example, 1 horsepower is equal to 550 ft-lb per second. Hope this helps.

The double cab doesn’t have rear vents. That’s insane to me. It’s still a big pickup. Why can’t the rear passengers get their own air if you’re using the truck for work because you can get a longer bed, but can’t get a longer bed with the crew Max?Baffles me.
