I have had mine for 40000 miles. Towed a car, driven from Az to co, towed a RZR, gone on several trips to CA, zero issues! See my other video on the csf radiator for additional cooling.
I have a 1st and 2nd Gen Sequoia that would love to be fitted with a supercharger. Was that gray tundra supercharged or stock? The white one looked like it barely beat the gray one.
to raise the engine output is not a hard thing. But, when you increase the output, the engine's thermo load and structural load are also increased. These factor can bring long term damage to the engine.
These issues can easily be combatted. CSF sells an upgraded radiator which we found to be wonderful when paired with the Magnuson kit. A 36K mile / 3-year full drivetrain warranty is also offered from Magnuson or you can get an extended 60k mile / 5-year warranty.
5:59 you can't tell, but he's doing his damnedest to grin, but the G-Forces of from the increased torque and HP by that Magnuson supercharger is too much for his face.
I wish they would come out with the 2019 for my tundra =(. Only issue is long term reliability. Id bet you turned this truck from a 400000 mile truck to a 200000 mile truck.
I have not seen any reliability issues with mine, its a 2012 had the supercharger on it from day one. I pull horses and hay a lot. It has 143000 on it and not a single issue. I LOVE the truck. The only issue I have is I burn through tires at a pretty fast rate.
As long as you dont exceed 7 or 8 PSI of boost, the reliability doesnt change much. If you put any more boost, you will trade power for reliability. The higher the compression ration, the less boost you'll want
you guys need some taller gear to compensate for those larger tires.... still will be interesting to see the new 2022 tundra power #'s with the reported twin turbskis on a v6... couldnt imagine much less than a 4.0 v6 though.. unless they are trying to go directly after the ford ecoboost 2.7l....

Also, more power you need better braking system because current one sucks! Can the regular cooling system work probably with all that extra heat with more horse power!
To answer your previous comment, yes it will void the factory warranty, but Magnuson provides a 36k miles/3-year Powertrain warranty. Braking system should be upgraded yes, and the factory cooling system will work as the heat exchanger is built into the supercharger
Being that the center of gravity is much higher, stability at higher speeds is compromised but that doesn’t physically make the truck slow, only when it comes down to handling will the truck be slower. Straight line speeds are roughly the same. It really comes down to the wheel/tire combination

I have had mine for 40000 miles. Towed a car, driven from Az to co, towed a RZR, gone on several trips to CA, zero issues! See my other video on the csf radiator for additional cooling.
I have had mine for 140000 miles, towed horses and hay all over the western U.S. its been perfect. my temps never change.
Had mine for 80k miles now tows like a dream on my 13
Great video , great work i need one for my 2019 tundra ASAP.
Email us they are instock sales@vividracing.com
I have a 1st and 2nd Gen Sequoia that would love to be fitted with a supercharger. Was that gray tundra supercharged or stock? The white one looked like it barely beat the gray one.
The gray TRD Pro has the same supercharger kit
I always roll around with 6" of extra threads on my u bolts
I want one on my 2016 tundra tss 150k miles. It needs it with 35's. I'm gonna check it out
Sounds good!
Hi there. I'd like to installing a sc on my 2014 with 150k miles. Would you recommend getting a sc this far on the engine/ transmissions life ?
On the online fourms there’s a bunch of guys installing at the 150 mark and go well past the 200k mark with no problems
The 5.7 is a reliable platform all together, I’d say go for it
@@vivid_racing
You guys are in Gilbert right?
With being in Arizona I would install a chiller killer kit. Tundras hate hot air. They are different animals with cool intake air.
Will definitely have to look into this 🤔
So ill need premium gas if I installed that supercharged on my truck ! local gas station will be praised me seeing them often
That’s the reason I didn’t supercharge mine, I’m already paying tons for fuel haha
Definitely worth it to run 91 with the 5.7 regardless, although, not required
to raise the engine output is not a hard thing.
Amazing job !!!
Thank you!
i have a trd super charger on my tundra and i get 14 mpg and dont regret it at all!
The mpg sacrifice is very minimal considering the power gain 🙌🏼
Awesome! Any issues with it so far?
5:59 you can't tell, but he's doing his damnedest to grin, but the G-Forces of from the increased torque and HP by that Magnuson supercharger is too much for his face.
That's Magnuson for ya 😉 Thanks for watching!
I put a TRD Supercharge in my Sequoia….. it was an amazing sleeper SUV.
Sounds awesome! Thanks for watching!
Bout to have my 2012 limited tundra charged after I get that $ from my German Rottwailer puppy’s I sell 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽.. Much love bro from Las Vegas..
🙌🏼🙌🏼 can’t wait!
These guys said it best above ^ Reliability is not compromised whatsoever 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I would love this in my tundra but 7k holy moly.
It’s a hefty investment but well worth every penny since Magnuson makes it so simple to install
That is the fastest supercharger install I have ever seen l o l
Need to top off that window washer fluid
Will let the owner know 🙌🏼 thanks!
Awsome video ,How high lifted is this truck and what size tires??
Great video great work! I need one for my Tundra!
Let’s do it! Link in description
Longtime Toyota guy, appreciate the video, would be curious how the system operates as the miles rack up? Anyone out there have feedback on this?
have a 2013 with 80k miles, supercharger has been on since around 8k miles, towing hauling cross country heavy loads still flawless.
son community college is a fine option, plus one sweet truck to inherit .....seriously will this go on a 2020 Tundra?
It would be awesome if you guys did any year 5.3 chevy or gmc
🤔🤔 very true! Would be interesting to see the gains from that
you guys need some taller gear to compensate for those larger tires.... still will be interesting to see the new 2022 tundra power #'s with the reported twin turbskis on a v6... couldnt imagine much less than a 4.0 v6 though.. unless they are trying to go directly after the ford ecoboost 2.7l....
Thanks for the tip!
Exhaust? Stock I'm assuming as nothing was said. Thanks, appreciate the video.
Correct, an exhaust will only add to the fun.
I saw a Land Cruiser V8 powered 97 supra with 2,500hp
Cool! 👍🏼
**UPDATE** 2019 Tundra Owners, we have great news!! The 2019 Tundra Magnuson Superchargers are now available! Contact us today for more info or visit-> bit.ly/MagnusonTundra
Is 2020 going to take till 22?
Can I put the supercharger on a 2007 5.7 ?
Thinking about doing this to my 2018 Tundra. I have 3/1 level kit on and some 35” Toyo AT3s. I tow and would like a little extra power up to Flagstaff or the Rim.
Would make a HUGE difference. On my 2017 I would tow up to Heber with my RZR or Canam on the back and would fly up those hills.
@@vivid_racing does your gas mileage improve when towing? Right now I get like 6-8 mpg towing about 7klbs.
@@williamkl1234 unfortunately with that much weight, you are going to be needing that SC power so wont save any. I usually saw about 9-10 when towing a 3500 car on an aluminum trailer. So figured 4k lbs.
@@vivid_racing I know the kits are around $7k, but how much do you charge to install them?
@@williamkl1234 We dont do public installs here, but is possible we could assist a local here and get some media. Plus we stock these :) Drop an email and will throw you a nice price. dan at vividracing dot com
I am at 114k miles on my tundra and idk if I should add it or not. I dont want to hurt my truck.
You still can, and you'll get a good amount of miles out of it with regular maintenance and upkeep!
I wish they can do a Toyota Tacoma supercharged
They do! 😁🙌🏼
There's a company in Australia that sells a kit for the 3urfe to produce 1200 horsepower.
That’s a lot of power. Definitely going to need forged internals for that.
@@vivid_racing yeah for sure, the company is called Harrop engineering.
Yes, that one puts the Magnusen to shame.. the price tho.
@@mryang3644 I know I saw that wow!
“Do it!, Do it!”-Starsky
🙌🏼🤘🏼💪🏼
Will installing the magnificent supercharger short in the life of your tundra.
It will, but not a significant amount. You can still get 200k out of the motor!
I wonder if you can put any more power through these Toyota V8s... different supercharger configs? Tuning? E85? Water/Meth? Who knows
I'm almost certain you can.
I want my 2014 Platinum Tundra to last forever being that I paid all in at the time 58K. She has 52K on the odometer now. I've been interested in supercharging her but don't want any issues. Toyota pulled them off shelves years ago due to motors going kaboom and other issues. I know this isn't a TRD part and seen others with these Magnusson Chargers on their Tundra. I want to but I don't want to.
I have one on my 17 from 1000 miles to now 48000. Best money spent. Very reliable. Life changing!
If it had some 5.29 gears that would really wake it up as well
Could definitely use gears with the 38’s
That is sick I got a 2016 TRD PRO tundra with a 5’7 that I would like to do how much is it
Drop us a email we have them instock!
Is this the same tundra that beat the TRX on that viral short???
WHERE THE TUNDRA NATION/ TUNDRAGANG😈😈😈
🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
Isn't there more to it than just slap a supercharger on it and go?
Bought mine 2012 sr5 80,000 miles used, I could buy and it comes with the 3 years warranty or 500 for 5.
If I had 200,000 miles I could do the same??
Hey Project Rice.
These Magnuson Supercharger Kits are currently in stock at our headquarters and we have some different warranty options available along side the manufacturer's warranty.
Give us a call at (480) 966-3040 or email us at sales@vividracing.com for more info and let us know you saw our video!
Thank for watching
Also, more power you need better braking system because current one sucks! Can the regular cooling system work probably with all that extra heat with more horse power!
To answer your previous comment, yes it will void the factory warranty, but Magnuson provides a 36k miles/3-year Powertrain warranty. Braking system should be upgraded yes, and the factory cooling system will work as the heat exchanger is built into the supercharger
Do you think guys with no lifted can be faster than lifted and heavy tires?
Being that the center of gravity is much higher, stability at higher speeds is compromised but that doesn’t physically make the truck slow, only when it comes down to handling will the truck be slower. Straight line speeds are roughly the same. It really comes down to the wheel/tire combination
Can't wait to supercharge my Tundra trd pro.
Let us know when you are ready! 💪🏼
@@vivid_racing where are you guys located?
Gilbert, Arizona
Wounded what the towing capacity would be
Thing’s a beast!Got headers,& pipes?How much boost?
Stock headers currently. Supercharger is running 6-8 psi roughly with the big pulley
Why did the RWHP after supercharge not even reach the factory HP spec? Supposed to be 381 stock. Was at like 360 peak with the SC.
Crank horsepower vs. wheel horsepower
