Now that I have owned my Tundra for almost a full year I felt it was time to share my thoughts on the Toyota Tundra double cab 4x4 TRD.
In this video I will talk about the reasons I love it. I didn't mention reliability because its a Toyota and that is too obvious. I wanted to point out the less obvious reasons.
Also to show I am not a total biased fanboy...I made an entire video of why I hate my Tundra which will surely piss people off. Lol
Stay tuned! Im sure that will ruffle some feathers with Tundra owners lol.

15mpgs? I drive a 2017 tundra double cab 6.5 ft bed, with the 5.7l engine and i get 17.7 combined and 19 on the highway. Guess i cant complain.

😁😁do you still have this tundra? How many miles and still running well? any issues? thanks

13mpg Highway with 5.7? Nah, it's not that bad; if you're driving eco friendly (like an old man), you can usually get around 18-19mpg Highway. Yes of course it drops in City, or pulling a trailer or carrying a pay load. But that depends on the load weight. 15mpg sounds low for your 4.6, I was expecting much better. Sounds like maybe the 4.6 is actually a tad undersized for the Tundra weight; offsetting the mpg gain you thought you would've gotten. Interesting.

Ice is a tires game. Falken Wildpark at3 has done fantastic for me in Wyoming. A lot of people here also give high reviews to Goodyear duraTracs. Then you can get studded tires if you have to deal with snow and ice for more than a few days at a time.

I drive like and old man and for the last 2 years and my 2021 Double Cab Tundra averages 13.5 mpg with mixed city/highway driving, that is true!

A very helpful vid. Looks awesome but seems like you should be getting better highway mpgs. Thank you.

So when you haul drywall and it extends past your bed you buy a sheet of plywood to support it, put the plywood in first. BTW plywood comes in different sizes and can even have it cut at the store. However most of the time it's 4'x8' that's why true extended beds are 8'.

I just ordered a 2021 limited nightshade.I chose the Tundra because I know it will be totally reliable for as long as I own it, but the pathetic fuel economy did give me serious pause considering that I drive 90 miles a day. The expected long term reliability won me over...I just hope gas prices don't spike too high because I'll be crying if they do.

@2.40 is why I want to move to the US. They are taking our AR's away here in Canada. I'm royally pissed. Who's hiring down there?

Nice rig! The 5.7 liter engine mileage is 13 city/18 highway. I'm reminded of this almost weekly when I fill my 38 gallon tank. Can't wait to see what our new president, his "never done nothing" token VP, and the whole green deal crowd are going to do to gas prices. Better hide that AR too. That's the first thing they're going to try to write out of existence. Should be interesting. Anyhow, enjoy the rig. I'm getting in my hole and hiding. See you on the other side of dark winter...hopefully in 4 years.

I have a 2018 crew max, I love the 5.7 v8 engine even though the mpg sucks lol. I love the roomy back seats. Love the reliability and the availability of mods!
