I’ve had a Leatherman Wave in my pocket for 15 years, I got a Gerber Suspension NXT to throw in an emergency bag, I threw it in the trash instead.
I brought a black oxide WAVE around seven years ago solely because of your review on it, which I have watched dozens of times. And while I normally EDC the Skeletool in my urban environment, my 'go to' SHTF will always be my Wave. I even hear your voice when I am using it!

My first multi tool was the super tool 300, but the Charge TTi is the best money I spent and I've carried it for about three years now. Really like it!

Well I have an older Gerber Suspension - it has a separate serrated blade and a separate “saw” blade but no file or a belt clip.Now that you mentioned it it does have some play in it, which seems strange because it weighs a ton..good review…

I agree. Bought one from Home Depot and don't like it. Put it in the glovebox.
Interesting review. I have one of each, I have had a Leatherman Charge Tii for a decade or more and my EDC is a Gerber Dime. The Dime is tiny, but because I commute to a state with super restrictive knife laws it will have to do. It actually seems better than the model you reviewed here and cost $20. It has what I consider a sensible selection of tools, and no one freaks out if I pull it out at work. Nothing lines up right like a Swiss Army knife, and the general finish is not great, but it usually gets the job done.
Hi Jon, if you liked the Dime you really want to try out the Leatherman Squirt PS4. Its a LOT of tool for its size and price.

Came to watch your video hoping to get alternatives to the Gerber NXT and you end up recommending tools twice or more than three times the cost of the Gerber. Disappointing.

It’s only silly if you’re ok buying a crap tool just to save some money. I’d rather spend 5x the money and get 10x the tool that won’t fail when I need it.
Typical Chinese design & made Gerber, RUBBISH ergonomics & a crap serrated blade !
Its only good feature is the price. They're US$32 here ATM and I still won't be buying one !
