    Rev looks like it is made of beer can aluminum. I would buy a HF Gordon.

    The rev is more capable than the next in my real world experience with both but $50 is insane

    I just started watching your videos. I love them! I'm a maintenance technician, so multi tools are a big part of my life. I use them all the time. Not just at work, but in my every day life as well. Keep it up bud. 👍

    I have the og gerber suspension, I’ve had it for maybe 2 years. Pliers, Screwdriver scissors are the top 3 tools I use. The sheath ended up getting worn out and the Velcro stopped working making it take a bunch of falls, even lost it once in the dessert. Found it the next day a couple taps on the desk the sand fell out and wasn’t grimy anymore. Best think I’ve had. I upgraded the sheath to a kydex one from “clip and carry.” It’s still going strong. I’ve definitely have gotten my money’s worth

    My NXT scissors did the same. I bent down the spring a touch and they are fine now 👍

    The Rev is small enough to pocket carry and not notice it's weight. I was carrying a Gerber dime but upgraded to a Rev and never looked back.

      The Rev is light. I read how one guy used the knife out hunting on the Rev as his main blade. I am disappointed how expensive it is.

    Very nice I have that suspension-nxt it's pretty good tool the only thing it would have been better if it was made in the USA

      It is a very nice package. I really like it's pocket clip as well!

    Leatherman made in the USA with parts produced overseas and in the USA. Leatherman assembles most tools in the USA not manufactured in the USA. Gerber it’s one of other totally manufactured overseas and stamped as such or totally manufactured in the USA and stamped as such. Gerber the bigger tools are manufactured in the USA because of government contracts (The Berry Law) which say if something is going to be used in the Defense Department etc it will made in the USA.

    Hi, you need to send your tools to Gerber and they will sort it for you, I'm pretty sure. On the old suspension I noticed a broken tool? But Gerbers warranty in the US is lifetime, in the UK is 25 years, same as Leatherman worldwide. For the price I think Gerber is better deal. Cheers

      Good observation. The original Suspension was actually a used tool so that's why I haven't sent it back. I agree that for the money I would actually lean toward the Gerber NXT out of all of these.

      @@hvacbudget8600 I'm sure Gerber will fix it for you, doesn't matter that it's second hand, it's up to you. Take care.

    I just bought the cheaper Gerber at Menards last week, been good so far. It’s a shame that Leatherman jumped the price on everything. Glad I bought a Skeletool before it went up in price

      The Gerber Suspension is a pretty good tool. I understand Leatherman was hit by rising prices as well but still it seems a bit steep.

      Had mine for 2 years, it’s going strong it’s see a lot of use but it doesn’t show much. Currently cutting wire tags and 1” metal banding out in the dessert

    Is there plastic on that one Gerber, I can't stand plastic on tools. To me plastic has no business on tools or multi tools. It's one of the reasons I can't the centerdrive

      @hvacbudget8600  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the ends there are. Part of it is used as a lanyard attachment on the NXT. The original Suspension has some rubber like plastic inserts as well.

    The revs price tag is a complete joke. Not worth that in any reality

  • @michaelk487

    That's a lot of money for the Leatherman they should do a little better on the price

      Agreed.

    • @dbpm876
      @dbpm876 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Then they should manufacture the tools completely in China...but then you would complain about that.

    The Rev costs less than the pizza and case of beer you buy once ore twice a week ..The multitool you can possibly carry for a lifetime and won't turn you into a fat ass .. the tool is not that great however its embarrassing how many people think thats a lot of money and expect it to be made in the USA. I suggest people start doing some research on what it takes to operate a business in the US.

    The Price of the REV is stupide in germany i have to pay 59 Euro

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That seems extremely expensive but it is only $10 less here. I remember when the Sidekick was only $29 around three years ago. Now the Sidekick has doubled almost in price!
