      Not only that but to hear him mix with the legendary, out of this world Smokey! I wish more young people had a grasp of just how amazing Smokey Robinson is! TREASURE! As for George, what struck me in this rendition is you can tell he is actually SINGING live, not over some track or lip synching. He is FANTASTIC!

    George Michael was a heart for men and women. We didn't know he was gay until 1998, I think. People still had to be secretive back then. Especially when Aids was so bad. People were so cruel. We loved him anyway. He's still missed❤

      George only hid It from the press/media. To his family & friends, They were fully aware. George had nothing to be ashamed of he just wanted his privacy. Of course, It didn't matter to us because we loved & still love him, Ya!🕯😇🎤🎶🎶🎶Till The End Of Time ⏳💖

    writing 'Love Is A Losing Game'. George would actually cover it in his concerts
    and 'The Lyric Version' by Amy on 'TH-cam' is really done well.

    Gotta react to George Michael/Elton John’s Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

  • @sabinasabina2010
    @sabinasabina2010 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It's about cheating on someone, they caught you cheating and no matter what you say the other person's defences are up. Remembering the good times, dancing but that's not going to happen again and you know it's your fault (guilty feet I've got no rhythm) It's like when you meet them again in a crowded place, you want to get them alone and beg for them back and make excuses for your behaviour but think maybe it's for the best all the people being around you because if you we're alone it would escalate into arguing and it will get out of control. It's just a song about regret for cheating on someone, not realising that you don't know what you've got until it's gone.

    You might not have heard the song before, but that sax is (in)famous everywhere. It's pretty much trope sax piece.

    • @LWolf12
      @LWolf12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sax piece has lore, it took George 11 different sax players to find one that could play it to his standards. He even went so far as to leave a highly regarded recording studio.

    This was the song that he cheated and that’s why he didn’t wanna be seen in public and why he wanted her to stay because the girl he was with found out. They definitely were serious because they had wings so I don’t know if that means they were married, but they definitely were together
    George Michael was the greatest singer of all time he was the best and everyone loved him whether with male or female, he was the most special and have a beautiful heart and soul. I will always love him until I die I can’t get enough of him and how good he really is he’s under rated too. He was very famous in the 80s and 90s. He was beautiful in so many ways And there is not enough good words in the world to describe him

He did a phenomenal tribute to Freddy Mercury Somebody to Love. Hit it out of the park, hats off to Queen and the choir. The video hasnt been blocked as of yet, worth reacting to.

    I loved this song so much when it came out, the sax solo would melt my knees, lol. I understand the venue is about Motown greats, but I find this an odd pairing & agree that Smokey’s voice doesn’t really fit the song. BUT. It sounded like you didn’t know who Smokey Robinson was, is that right? Well, you need to check out his song catalog, which is huge & decades long. He ended up as the President/CEO of Motown Records, really a fabulous talent & worth your time to check out. 👍👍😄

    Yes, George Michael was gay, but the whole being secretive thing in the song isn't about that. It's more so he wants to lose the crowd so he can talk to the partner one-on-one about them and their future. He cheated, but he doesn't want to lose his partner, hence the "please stay" bit.
