I looked my best at 40. Now, at 69 yo, I am happier, more wise and so content with life. I did expensive in-office treatments, Botox and fillers when working, but now I use great skin care, targeted actives, great nutrition and a couple of science-based skin tools. I am beautiful.

Now. A request please. I am 70 this year and have spent a lifetime taking good care of my skin. But nothing I can do will address the loss of volume. I don’t even mind the joweling as much as looking a little gaunt. I actually keep my weight up a bit to keep it from looking worse (5’3”/ 137 lbs). I know a facelift is appropriate but am sure there are others like me who are chicken. Can you please do a video for us? Thanks

I'm one of those peeps - that believe in facial exercises to keep our face young... I'm 60 this year --- have very minimal wrinkles - and no turkey neck --- thanks to 'kiss the sky' yoga technique which I've done for nearly 10 years... plus affirmations about my forever youthful appearance... BUT, that's just moi --- I will never do botox - nor expensive treatments of any kind - and I feel like I appear 40ish --- I am a fairly down to earth - all natural gal - and have stayed away from excess sugar - carbs - beef - sodas - fast food stuff though - just for overall personal and health reasons... I do believe sugar and high carb - fast foods age the body much faster... again - just my two cents --- I keep my diet simple and satisfying but nothing too cray cray in any direction... Lots of eggs, which I've come to understand helps one to have good skin and hair... I have at least two a day--- and not for any reason except I love them...

I am so glad to have great genetics with regards to wrinkles. I have barely any at 60. Having been sick recently though my skin looked awful. Hence me finding this channel. Going simple low and slow starting with retinol has made a significant difference. Just about to start vitamin c low and slow.

Happy birthday! 🎉 I turned 40 myself less than a month ago and let me tell you - it made me think more about myself, hence I'm here and love your channel, I've learned so much about how to properly take care of my skin and be smart about it so thank you so much! I've been struggling with dry sensitive acne prone skin since I can remember. It gets ok but twice a year it is like a tsunami and it doesn't get easy with age. Amount of different types of cosmetics, medicine, procedures I went through I can't even count and potentially could own a yacht by now! Lol Thanks to you I've discovered the Avene brand that actually saved my skin.Everybody is assuming acne = oily skin, it is hard to get good advice in my case as it is either for dry sensitive or oily acne prone skin, so please consider talking about uncommon skin types like mine or for example vascular complexion etc. It is so scary and difficult to figure out how to exfoliate, choose correct ingredients etc. That's why myself and probably many women start to look after themselves correctly so late, I wish I knew sooner what I know now. This is an extremely timely video for me as I need HELP from the little nerds community 😓
I started using my retinol at the beginning of the year which resulted in terrible dryness under my eyes which seems to be a dehydration (flabby skin that folds into many stable tiny fine lines under my eyes and on my cheekbones). I've stopped using retinol (and all other products) completely a week ago and have started using a sandwich of: 1) a serum with hyaluronic acid 2) a huge amount of moisturiser with glycerin and/or ceramides 3) a small amount of vaseline on the top 4) SPF 50 sunscreen when I go out.
So far I haven't seen any visible results. Especially after showering, my under eye skin still looks dull, dry and covered in many tiny lines. I'm freaking out because my "old beautiful skin" of a 30-year-old boy never seems to come back. Has anyone else have experienced this problem? What was your solution? And how long can the recovery process take?
idk much but high amount of glycerin can actually dehydrate ur skin i heard that somewhere not sure

Under eyes have very sensitive skin and its advised to not use retinol there. The eye creams meant for under eyes have some kind of hydrating ingredient if they have retinol. Squalene based eye creams are hydrating and I have found them helpful.
You just started about 2 weeks ago? Take it very slowly, use retinol just once a week at the beginning. And the undereyes might never tolerate retinol. Be even more careful there.
I agree with comment above, how frequent you use the retinol, is it the retinol or retinal or other kind, at what percent......keep it low and slow, probably start again when ur skin feels healthy. For now focusing on your damaged skin barrier is more important. Later pls put the retinol after the moisturizer.
