I don't know when we decided that wrinkles were bad but try to embrace them. Just use your retinoids and sunscreen and live happy. Aging is a privilege. Not everyone gets to do it. Thanks again for a great video gentlemen. :)

Every time I put any acid even 3%
      &
      I tried a retinol 0.025%
My face turns into a swollen ballon with sandpaper texture
So I officially will have wrinkles as none of those are tolerated by my skin LOL

Hey docs, yesterday I went back to my derma clinic after 2 years for a bit of Botox but my regular doctor left during the pandemic. The new doctor, super nice, took 3D pics of my face, blew them up on a massive HD screen and showed me all my flaws. He ended up recommending fillers: temples, cheeks, eyes, lips, PRP, laser, HIFU, Botox, and 2 more procedures that I can’t recall. While he was trying to sell me on this by showing me a 10X magnified 3D image of my flaws that are obviously there, i kept thinking im a confident woman and I will say no(he insisted several times) but this strategy will sure work for people with less confidence. I was able to say no because I have learnt so much from watching you two and I love how you educate us. I wish some of the industry practices would follow a more ethical not financial gain strategy. Thank you for the education!

@@dejanirathompson7502, my program is super easy, but I have different brands for different moods to my skin. If my skin is behaving, I use Paula’s Choice Optimal Hydrating cleanser. If I get a staph infection or my skin is “molting” I use YonKa Cleansing Milk. If my skin is in revolt, I go straight for the Paula’s Choice ultra rich moisturizer then Paula’s Choice daily moisturizing lotion with 30SPF. If my skin is doing well or at least no open wounds, I use the Paula’s Choice BHA exfoliant and her vitamin C booster. Once a week at night I’ll use the 1% retinol treatment. I like the fact that Paula’s Choice isn’t heavy on the fragrance and it seems to work for me. The key is finding a brand or products that don’t make you react, but are also products that work. Good luck on your journey and stay away from those package deals like curology and those MLM products.

With due respect, the frownies work fantastically well. Those have been around for almost 100 years for a reason. However, I found the 'glue' and application problematic since it was not adhesive enough since I have very oily skin. So instead, I use painter's tape, double it to become a double layer, make a square and use it between the eye area for those frown lines, and it is truly amazing how smooth it is in the morning, and it lasts for quite awhile. With diligent use, my frown line wrinkle has lessened from what it was. Sounds silly I know, but honestly works quite well. Give it a try while you sleep and you'll see what I mean.

A fixed smile is a huge thing! I had a root canal on a front tooth in college, and about 10 years later it was dark, and fragile, and it broke. That broken tooth made me feel so ugly. Getting it fixed was such a self esteem boost.

My best friend and I were sun worshipers, sun lamp users, and tanning bed baby boomers, in the 70’s & 80’s. Now I have tons of ugly skin damage all over my skin, and my bf developed a rash that was biopsied & she was diagnosed w/squamous cell carcinoma on her chest. It’s been a rough treatment process for her. As for me I have to see the dermatologist every 6 weeks to freeze off many spots, and have painful & expensive IPL treatments as well. Great video doctors!👍🏽🤓

What's your opinion on applying superoxide dismutase (specifically the SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE SACCHARIDE MIST by NIOD) topically to the skin, does it give good protection from oxidative stress/free radical damage? Please do talk more about the idea of layering antioxidants under your sunscreen, I think that's something that's missing from a lot of conversations about preventing visible signs of ageing. Thanks!

I’m 53, I got a little bit of fillers in my cheeks three years ago and loved it. It gave just a little lift and volume, but I didn’t touch any of my wrinkles. I don’t want a Nicole Kidman face… My skincare routine has improved so much from watching channels like yours, other derms and skincare experts. My skin is in better condition now, and some wrinkles such as the ones on my forehead are much less deep! I feel good about my skin for my age, and don’t care about happy wrinkles 😁

On that face fitness thing: you're supposed to exercise only the weak muscles, muscles you don't use a lot (for example, my husband has no idea how to lift his upper lip) and in the process you're using your fingers to prevent skin from forming wrinkles. In combination with massage it gives noticeable results.

Exactly--it's just like toning any other muscles; it creates definition and can make things more lifted. Less sagging and more lift = looking younger. Anyway, facial exercises have worked really well for me, especially on my hooded eyes and jawline. I liked most of this video but was disappointed to see facial exercises dismissed out of hand, even as they acknowledged there is evidence they do make you look younger!

I just wanna say that I've used Frownies for a lil while (I'm 28) to deal with the lines between my eyebrows. I think the biggest thing is that they give me a constant cue to relax those muscles. I'd describe the feeling less like "tape" and more hard like "paper mache" or maybe like a tiny cast. If I try to scowl, sure, I can break the Frownie's hold. But it does do a good job of keeping me from making the expression that I want to avoid! I've definitely noticed a difference over several months of using them. Also, when I sleep on my side, they seem to keep my skin from folding as much, and I don't wake up with lines.

I use a small rectangle of clear medical tape between my brows for the 1 that I have there. If I do it a few nights in a row, it really reduces the wrinkle for the days. If I remember to use it for over a week, the effect lasts longer, even if I don't do it for the nights after that. It is totally atrophying my brown muscles but in such a way that I can still express with them when needed.

Yag lasers have devastating complications, dermal thickening, scarring, stripes that come and go varying with temperature changes and hypo pigmentation. I know as a relative suffered these complications. She was told after the laser procedure, that the complications are common and he didn't know what to do about them and he didn't have a magic wand to wave over her. The only doctor who offered her help was a Belgium laser expert who informed her that her complications are indeed common and at his practice he doesn't use lasers for resurfacing, he uses an advanced chemical peel called the Tel Aviv advanced chemical peel. His advice was to take super strong vitamin B complex as it had shown to help with the complication of the stripes. Best wishes from Europe ❤

Face cleanser, daily face moisturizer, sunscreen during the day-then face cleanser and moisturizing cream on face and body at night-are what I recommend.
