    I bought the Falken Wildpeak Trail this past November. Living in western New York we get pretty big snow storms every year. This tire was awesome throughout the winter and we got around 96 inches of snow this year. It's equally great on wet roads. Haven't noticed any more road noise than I had on my regular all season tire. I highly recommend this tire.

    Great video. Thank you! Currently running Wildpeak AT Trail on a ‘21 CX-9. Mostly on-road so far with 1000 miles in. Very comfortable on the street and not much different in noise compared to the OEM all weather tires it replaced. But does well on some dirt roads, rain, and beach driving. Never felt like they couldn’t keep up.

    Have had the Falken Wildpeak AT Trails on my 2018 Ford Escape AWD. Although mainly on-road driving so far, with a little gravel driving, have not regretted the move from the Continentals that came with the car. Excellent handling and road feel, with only downside being a slight reduction in economy. Fantastic tyre for overlanding in New Zealand conditions. Heading into the mountains in a couple of weeks time, so looking forward to trying them out on some fwd mountain trails.

They are super grippy with good ride and low noise on roads and highways at speeds and hold up pretty well on trails, rock, sand and slush. Swapped out my Toyo AT's with a set of Falken Wildpeak AT's, and it's remarkable how much better they feel on the road. Lugs appear deeper, but weirdly they aren't as loud on highway. I have yet to drive them in anything but gravel/dirt/regular roads, but the tread pattern and depth makes me think they'll do just fine offroad (along with all of the positive reviews I've read from those who use them for mixed use/overlanding/general purpose offroading)

    The Cooper AT3 4s has jaw dropping on road performance. It's as good as many performance tires that I've bought in my life. The coopers did surprisingly good in the mud but do find a limit at about 6 inches deep. Other than mud I have zero wheel spin in the Cherokee Trailhawk. No exaggeration... zero... If you're in deeper than 6 inches of mud , you might want an MT tire. They're also super quiet. They have much better wet traction than the factory Firestone destination AT (version 1).
    It's a good tire and it's on a good Jeep. It's hard to say who is due the most credit but the combination is amazing !

    I just bought Toyo Open Country At3, but its f2 load rated. Other option was d2 from discount tires. Should I have gotten the lower one for my 2021 toyota sequoia? I plan on overlanding and I'm worried if its too stiff to air down for off road use. Any advice is appreciated since the tires dont come in til next week. I might be able to exchange to lower rating. I will not be towing when I overland, but will have the usual supplies for dispersed camping. The sales guy picked the load range for me but I didnt think about it til I placed the order.

Compacted snow. Very icy roads where everyone else could barely stop and couldn't take off once stopped. These tires slid a bit but no where near as much as everyone else was. Complete confidence in the ability to stop and just light on the take offs and they were amazing. Only time I had to pop 4x4 was to pull our snow plow out of the ditch he was buried in and these tires hooked up and drug him out like nothing. We are going to put a set on our 4Runner now for sure. I couldnt be happier with their performance and will be telling everyone I can about these tires. I have a set of BFG terrains on a 2018 tundra in 275/60/20. The wet weather traction is not the best but I’m thinking I got overspray tire shine on the thread and that what caused slippage. They are very smooth and quiet and look great. I think they would look much better if they have a more aggressive side pattern. They do get louder when they break in but not super bad but worth mentioning. One odd thing is that tire shine does not stick to the side wall. It soaks up almost if like the tire was thirsty. This happen to me also with my KO2. Towing they did great and for the price they are not bad.

    I have a question. I have a 2007 Voyager Minivan as my daily and only vehicle, I spend a lot of time on pavement and hit the highway every single week. I constantly travel around 100mph in a very hot weather (I live in Mexico right in the center with a hot semi-dessert just like texas, but not as hot). I'm interested on the BFG Trail Terrains because I often go to MTB trailheads, Use Gravel roads and fireroads, Go to the forest to camp with my family, etc. I also liked the nitto nomad grapplers, but I really dont want to loose any braking grip or any wet pavement performance if possible. Any advice? I guess I would be looking for something I would define as a Summer compound Trail terrain tyre. Thanks for the advice

    Honestly shocked the bfgoodrich you brought up, I have the k02 and that's what I thought you'd bring up. Not complaining caught me a bit off guard is all. Honestly been looking around for new tires to know what to put on next I like falkens and I've seen good cooper's and mickey Thompsons in the shop I'm at, just can't decide. They are all amazing tires. I want a really cool aggressive tire, but something with not as much road noise. Raod noise isn't my big issue just something my family doesn't like and it's really hard to talk on the phone with it too. My tires are amazing I've had them over 2 years and they grip in everything I did have little slight trouble in this last winter. And sometimes I slip when I fully accelerate on dry pavement so something with more grip on both would be amazing. Overall amazing tires no complaints. My buddy in the shop told me about his cooper's on his jeep how he was going through rocks and the sidewall was clinging to the rocks even parked it with the sidewalls from 2 or 3 tires. Mickey great aggressive tires look amazing heard nothing but good things offroad wise. Falken is probly my favorite brand out of them so it is tricky I hope everyone reading this long ass comment takes this into consideration and maybe someone with more experience could help me find my tire. I have a 2019 rav4 and 245/65/17? I think I can't remember for sure. If possible I'll go with 255's or 265's but not sure yet, no idea if it hits or rubbs so have to test that. Lots to think about with tires I do press anyone to really think before buying cause so many people rush into it and come back in for new tires cause they wear out to fast or early tread separation.

      @backwoodstherapy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      392 should be able to take a 35" tire from the factory since it's a Rubicon. Does it have the extreme recon package? If yes, you should be good to go up to 37s from the factory since the ER package has a lift over the standard Rubicon plus lower gearing. You might have a touch of rubbing if you're flexing really hard on trails but that's it. If you don't have the extreme recon package, you need a 2-3" lift to run 37s. They'll technically fit on a factory Rubicon but they WILL rub the moment you leave the pavement.

      I am seeing some Foresters in the gallery running those specs so it is possible! Do you have a tire in mind?

    I don’t see the links in the descriptions for the tires.

      That is weird I wonder where they went! I can grab the links, were you looking at every tire or did you have one in specific you were interested in?

      @@TrailBuilt I was wondering about the Baja trail boss and what you think about it for mostly daily driving and some off-road. I have the G015 now. Also wanted the 235/65 but couldn’t find it in that tire

    I do probably 95% of my driving on the road on Long Island with a lot of snow and ice in the winter but I love going to the beach probably once a week and I love doing any off-roading I can which is probably once a month I was thinking of the BF Goodrich trail terrains what's your opinion for the best tire for that what I am doing

    No mention of the cooper rugged treks??? I’ve had mine for over 10,000 miles and they would destroy any of the ones you mentioned on any surface. The only one that would come close is the Baja Boss. 4-5”s of wet mud and I didn’t even need 4wd in my 4Runner to get through and it wasn’t just a mud hole. It was about 150-200’ of driving. I’ve watched several of your videos and you all give no love to the rugged treks. I think you’re doing potential customers a disservice by leaving them out.

    I wonder why Tire rack gave the bfg trail a bad review.

    • @DDugger
      @DDugger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably because they were only looking at dry/wet cornering and braking numbers on a track, splitting hairs like its a competition racing tire.

      BFG makes a good tire, but they slip and slide in rain and wet weather.
