    @OffGridAdventure I up-sized my tires to 265/60R18. Its tight, but they fit without rubbing and look a little more aggressive. Rides smoother and gained about 1/2" ground clearance. Only downside is the speedometer reads on the slow side (compared to GPS) by about 2mph at 70mph.

    My Suboverland came with Wildpeak tires. At first I wasn't sure about them because I had my heart set on US-made tires. They have definitely been high performers, though. I have had to engage my 4-wheel-drive, but that was in an extreme circumstance where I was trying to release my vehicle from very thickly built-up ice and snow.

    I just replaced my Goodyears m+s tires with the Falkans. I have a 2010 ranger fx4 and these tires are awesome. Less road noise, 10psi higher rating, grip the road like suction cups. I work snow removal and I have to go through steep inclines on winding roads through snow, slush and ice to get to my site. I already have more confidence in these tires and probably never going back to Goodyears.

    Dude I love those tires, I bought them for my 04 Nissan Xterra and they haven't given me issues yet (still have great tread). In the snow/rain it sticks to the road, I've never hydroplaned or skid out. Hell offroading I've never been stuck yet, and I'm stock ride height. Yeah Falken Wildpeaks rock!

    I'm doing a van build out on a 2020 Transit T-250 High Roof Extended. Current weight at 85% completion is around 8150lbs. Just cut out my wheel wells last weekend, tomorrow I get my Black Rhino Arsenals and Wildpeak AT3W 245/75R16 installed. Have a Van Compass TOPO 2.0 stage 4 suspension, so these tires should do the job. Final weight should be close to the stock GVWR at 9070lbs. Can't wait to get on the road...

    I want to get those tire or similar on an all wheel drive Sienna. I would not plan on spending much time in the snow. It would be more for making sure I do not get stuck on a muddy state park dirt road kind of thing. I would love for you to do a test drive and video of the 2022 or 2023 Sienna XLE Woodland Edition. I do not know much about it yet. I believe it has a little more ground clearance, a built in inverter with a 110 plug in. I couldn't really afford one, at least I wouldnt want to do a lot of things to it while it was still under the full warrenty.

    I’ve seen three places of manufacture. Japan, Thailand, and China. A noticeable decrease in quality of Chinese made tires. The other two are good quality. While these are good tires, I personally prefer the Yokohama G015 for a light off road tire. Also note that the Wildpeak (and the G015 to a lesser extent) will drop your MPG by 1-3 or so. For people that really off road that’s not unexpected but for a daily driver, you’ll pay more for fuel. YRMV
    Cheers

    • @bigguy1403
      @bigguy1403 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Off Grid Adventure Not by much and a true snow tire won't preform better then these on the highway with Falkens you get all three choices and the falkens are competitively priced they can handle more weight on them plus they air up to 80lb they also are one of the coolest temp running tires on the market. They also have a stronger side wall an extra 1/8th of an inch of protection and a true snow tire is as loud as hell on the highway the falkens are super quiet plus unless you live in snow country why would anyone want a dedicated snow tire only to replace come spring time better off running an A/T tire but the best reason to run the Falkens you'll get 70K miles out of them I've gotten 90K if you rotate every 5K miles. They out preform most tires. I've yet to get less then 70K miles on them and with the price of tires these days it's the right choice in my book but that's just me. If you can afford to I see alot of people with two sets of tires they run A/T and M/T but not me one set at a time maybe if I had the room to put 4 more big ass tires and rims I might but dought it.

      There is more to a snow tire than just the tread pattern. A true snow tire will also be made of a softer compound, which means it wears out quicker on dry roads. Most dedicated snow tires will also accommodate studs.
      Running studded snow tires in the winter and all season or all terrains the rest of the year is very common around here.
