I hope we see an OBSCENE number of these things driving around Europe in a couple of years 😀 I always said that EVs would eventually lead a bit of a transition away from big inefficient SUVs (since efficiency means lower cost, more range and faster charging all at once), and I hope that this and other fast EV wagons come soon are a sign of that!
The irony is that most Wagons are slightly longer than their Crossover Counterparts and therefore have more storage. We did a road trip in an Alfa 159 Wagon and a Mercedes GLA and the 159 was just enormous in comparison. You do however trade some efficiency compared to a Shooting Brake / Sedan, but im sure a lot of people would make the tradeoff
the amount of people who watched this video within the first few hours shows the interest of people in that car. Wondering why it takes so long to hand it over for some tests. cant wait to see some 1000km challenge done with this and the long range variant of it.

I’ve seen it in person on a trip to Ingolstadt, visiting Audi HQ. I was struck by its beauty 😍 I would prefer the Sportback for efficiency though. And standard side-view mirrors instead of cameras. I was playing for a while with SQ6 e-tron, using the same amazing PPE platform and tech inside and it’s good and fast (the integrated navi and such). Apple CarPlay is still one finger only though (could it ever be different?) while Android Auto is multitouch
I actually see a lot of cost cutting in the interior and not just here and there. The intuitive, high quality interior has been the decisive selling point and pretty much made me buy Audis alongside the more subdue exterior (which is also gone). In terms of materials the C7 has already been a downgrade compared to the C6 although I think the C7 wins in terms of looks. The premium feel possibly justifying the higher prices has gone missing.
All models from the C5 have been downgrades in material quality imo. The C4 was more basic for the clsss compared to today. The A8 in 1994 was on another level compared to the C4 when it came out in 1994.

It’s funny like everyone is talking about high price of these luxury EVs while the similarly priced Model S or X, looking like a plastic toy inside, are fine. Is everyone comparing to Model 3 or what?! I was trying Model S Plaid while servicing my Model 3 LR 2024 near Dresden and I was surprised how bad quality and noisy for its price it was. My Model 3 is so much better. The worst part was the steering wheel and its touch buttons, even worse than in my car. Almost no feedback.
my father has a model x plaid and everytime i am astonished by how low the quality is on that car. rattles at every road imperfection, suspension is too soft or too hard, seats are unconfortable, there isn't even a cup holder for 2nd and 3rd row and there isn't even an armrest, trunk without any separation from the rest so every luggage goes all the way to the front if you brake, glass roof gets incredibly hot in the summer, don't even let me start on the feeling of the materials, and i can keeep going and going for 130k € it's rubbish i tried some M3s and dind't have the same feeling..
All Tesla are cheap build quality, the only thing they do good is the center screen of Infotainment and drivetrain. The rest is all garbage. A good example are the rims, they are even with fake plastic inlays and not full alloy. Thats why I will never call them good value, even if they are cheaper than German cars.

The cars build in German and Chinese factories appear to have excellent build quality, hell my 2022 Merc C-class has worse build quality than my dad's Tesla Model Y (build in Germany). It's the ones build in the US that are apparently terrible, but it's fine since they're being compared to equally terrible Fords and Chevys.
Can we all see that every car makers goal is to try and reach the standards of Tesla, Tesla is the new benchmark in the world and we know because they all use it.
IDK, from what I see if you gave me the choice, apart from the looks I think I would pick the ID.7 over the Audi. The A6 looks like a 30k interior with all the plastic. ID.7 has slightly better materials

It all depends on what your demands are, but reducing the price difference to "exterior looks" is not an honest take. Of course if you are not after these benefits, the ID.7 is a great car and the price difference is not worth it, but for some who are looking for a long distance capable alternative to their A6 ICE, it is. Either way, at the end of the day the leasing price is the most important, where I'm sure the difference between the ID.7 and A6 won't be as big as the list price.

I like the design, it is a rather poshy car. Together with the 800V architecture especially Mercedes with the EQE (the CLA will be 1 or 2 classes under EQE/A6) and BMW with the i5 will struggle hard. If Audi introduces this car with a smaller battery with a standard range for a fair price this could bring Audi back into the market

Unfortunately that interior screams cost cutting. I agree we don't need leather covered door panels or dash or whatever but then don't sell it to me with the "luxury price". Great drivetrain and charging tech but cheap interior and windows 3.1 software. Is it just me who thinks a passenger screen is stupid, or at least not that useful?
@@ralphritnpeirdje5816 The Q6 Performance has a bit less power than the A6 Performance, now there is an A6 base model with a 83/75 kwh battery that cost slightly less than the Q6 base model (at least in Germany).
The Q6 being cheaper makes sense, as the Q6 is the electric version of the ICE Q5 and is supposed to be a segment below the A6/A7 class of cars. The Q7/Q8 are the SUV Version of the A6/A7, while the Q5/Q6 are the SUV version of the A4/A5. So the Q6 should be cheaper and priced between an A4 and A6, as SUVs are typically more expensive. Just like the ICE Q5 used to sit in between the ICE A4 and ICE A6 in terms of price. If anything, the Q6 is too expensive if you ask me as its almost the same cost as an A6 where I'm from.

Cars have electric tailgates, soft closing doors, ... These days. But an electric operated frunk is too much. I know the trunk or doors are more used. But just for convenience it would be nice. And also what's the point of having an electric tow hitch if you need to secure it manually. Just make it electric all the way.

Tesla has become the new volkswagen "folkevogn" in Norway. Tesla may be low on consumption, but looks and feels cheap, and almost everyone is driving one. But not Because it is a good or premium car. The S6 looks beautiful, still leaning towards the Q6. But dissapointing that a new Q6 is more noisy than my 3 year old EQC (and also the etron 55, which also is more noisy than my EQC)
That car was at ecarexpo in Copenhagen this weekend, the white leather in the back was already scuffed and discoloured. The low backseat/angle was instant dealbreaker for the misses
technically, it makes a great impression. But i have to disagree on the design, imo it doesn't look good at all. Especially from the side, the rear third and bottom third of the car is a disaster. Remands me of a fat Hyundai. The design is too playful for an A6, especially that silver roofline trim extending beyond the C Pillar is a Hyundai trait...the black piano black on the lower fenders is a no-go, makes it look cheap. Needless to say, the piano black interior panels make it look really cheap as well.

Having driven the ID7 Wagon I wouldn’t pay extra just to have the 4 rings on the bonnet or tailgate. This S6 is a beautiful car but not worth the price.
Audi knows how to overengineer. Lets see how quality and depreciation hold up after the warranty period. If they cant bring the prices down they are doomed to slow death.

Sat in the Q6 (with identical interior) - cheap as f*ck. Vents, lids, buttons - everything you touch feels flimsy.

The S6 looks beautiful, still leaning towards the Q6. But dissapointing that a new Q6 is more noisy than my 3 year old EQC (and also the etron 55, which also is more noisy than my EQC)
That car was at ecarexpo in Copenhagen this weekend, the white leather in the back was already scuffed and discoloured. The low backseat/angle was instant dealbreaker for the misses

technically, it makes a great impression. But i have to disagree on the design, imo it doesn't look good at all. Especially from the side, the rear third and bottom third of the car is a disaster. Remands me of a fat Hyundai. The design is too playful for an A6, especially that silver roofline trim extending beyond the C Pillar is a Hyundai trait...the black piano black on the lower fenders is a no-go, makes it look cheap. Needless to say, the piano black interior panels make it look really cheap as well.

@@bjornnyland it starts 669.900 nok, and It's not the station wagon. Some equipment is missing and a quattro version only has about 400 hp. So cannot be compared with other cars with 700-800 hp. A audi s6 etron quatrro cost from 940.000 nok. about 1 mill total with equipment.

Should have launched it before the ID.7. I was really looking forward to the audi when I saw the prototypes, but with this pricing, no THANK YOU! And I am not sure I like the interior as well. I ordered the ID.7 instead

Having driven the ID7 Wagon I wouldn’t pay extra just to have the 4 rings on the bonnet or tailgate. This S6 is a beautiful car but not worth the price.
Audi knows how to overengineer. Lets see how quality and depreciation hold up after the warranty period. If they cant bring the prices down they are doomed to slow death.

It’s not Tesla competition for the money they sell it unless you talking model S which most people can’t afford anyway. On the other hand it will be very cheap when VW goes bust.
