That will need new AC compressor, alternator, battery, coolant, trans fluid, check the suspension parts for noise, leaks on gaskets and check spark plugs. Yes you saved money for buying it but you will spend time to time for replacements and fixes wasting your time and effort.
@jackcollin1695 he is still coming out ahead compared to buying new. I do the maintenance on my vehicles and cost of parts and time is still much better than buying new.
@hellboundTX333 replacing the ac compressor is atleast $1.6k + ac recharge for another $300.and if the condensor is also leaking, that additonal replacement of $500. Yes the fluids are part of maintenance but if the 1st owner didn't treat his car like you do,then expect leaks or low fluids on those. Especially suspension parts with above 100k miles, rusts and grimes will build up that will destroy the bushings/seals which will need replacements. Well thats all up to buyer of 100k+ miles car even its toyota or honda,it will need replacements for some parts within that mileage. You will think you only spent $2k but afterwards it will give you headaches.

Had to get a car this week as my 2014 died. The guy down the road quoted us 41k with all the fees. My fiance did a lot of research and found the exact same car 8k less about 3.5 hours away. Do not buy it when dealers say they can’t get you a deal. They think you are stupid, do your research
@@SwimSweetie100 to be accurate, consumers are at a huge disadvantage because theres so much information they can't get easily and quickly. Consumers basically are stupid (in that they are unknowing) and the dealerships treat them that way from their position of power because thats the type of people they are.
Just curious what type of vehicle you owned that died because I own a 2013 Honda CRV and it’s still in great condition and absolutely no mechanical issues? Only has 100k miles.

One owner well maintained, never abused and put about 10k in all new custom paint job original oem color but better. premium primer, paint ,and clear coat, 7 coats of of clear coat wet sanded between the coats and alot of work but looks beautiful. New o.e. m. Paint is maybe 2 coats of clear coat. The absolute bear minimum and it clearly shows .overall quality is way down compared to 20 years ago.
My wife is still driving her 2003 CRV ,she wanted to change to a new one,but once she saw the new price ,she did not want to spend a cent to a new car, now she saved few thousands dollars......
Hell, take a quarter of what she'd spend on a new one, and have that one built up again. New engine, trans, and upholstery. She'd be riding nice for another 20 years.
@GODLOVESSAM Not to mention, Honda's become kind of collectible past the 20 to 25 yr mark. She could be holding onto something that's value will quite possibly go up.
The price is only part of the problem... the fact that these cars are built like crap and that a lot of them can not be maintained past 5 to 10 years makes them worthless to many people, I predict that 90's and early 2000 cars as well as older restomods are going to keep climbing in price and will still be on the road long after all the new cars on this dealer's lot will have ended up in junkyards...
Unfortunately the states along with the epa have been and will be bought off by the dealer lobbys and the oem's and will pass laws to force older cars off the road to "save the environment."
Agreed. These modern cars are meant to be lasting 5-7 years and rarely past 10 years. Good enough for one new owner and maybe one used car buyer. They are built to nolonger be reliable even with servicing past 7 years or so. They are designed to be near impossible to service much yourself. They use too much plastics, they are filled with too many prone to eventual failure off warranty and unnecessary options. They are all generally look the same styling and as such are boring and lifeless looking cars that seem souless. The same four or five increasingly lousy quality paint color choices. Sliver, metallic gray, Dark metallic gray, black and white. Few models offer any other unique color choices. It's amazing how quickly we have gotten here. I'd say we achieved this misery in new car market from oh maybe post 2014 and newer.🤨😢
The field mice in the grass will wiggle up in the engine compartment of those vehicles and chew on the plastic, the wiring insulation, crawl into the air intake and make a nest under the air filter.

The Great Auto correction isn't happening because idiots won't quit buying new cars. I heard a guy the other day, he makes $3,000 a month gross, he has a late 2010s WRX for 700 a month, $15k negative equity, and he's calling around trying to trade his WRX for a Shelby GT500. No matter what people tell him, he's dead set on getting that car. It's full-on clown world out here. What really needs to happen is for the consumer debt hammer to crush everyone once and for all. Get these chickens home to roost already. How do we do that? A good start would be Trump announcing NO BAILOUTS for banks, dealerships, automakers, credit card companies, etc. When banks and CC companies are faced with that reality, they will pack the courtrooms to get their money from consumers. No more write-offs, no more bailouts, no more free rides.
Don’t pay any hiding fees like dock, fees, and paint sealant and paint protection. It’s already on the car cause that’s just a rip off. That’s just another way for dealers to make dealer at a profit DAP dap.
if your so worried about paint protection etc pay a detailer to put a ceramic finish on versus the dealership. You’ll get a better job done and it should only be 2-300 bucks
Interesting advice. I agree with the paint sealant/protectant, but how do you make a dealer drop the documentation fee off the purchase price? Here in CA, the doc fee is $85 and dealers won't take it off. The state allows them to charge the fee and the software automatically includes it. Also, if you're trying to buy a vehicle that has a very low market day supply (MDS), you're going to have very little negotiating power. Sometimes if you want the car, you'll just need to pay what the dealer is asking. My recommendation; do your homework. If you're trying to get a Toyota Sienna van, you're at the mercy of the dealership. If you want a Ram 1500, you have a lot of negotiating power.
We are sitting on cash waiting for prices to go down. The more it builds up, we rather put down for a house instead of a car that loses value over time.
This is why it will never come down more. I’m the same as you. Sitting on mountains of cash and waiting. Everyone is. As soon as prices dip a section of savers break off and run for the deals and demand spikes and prices go back up. There’s just way too much money out there. Only way it comes down is if houses come down with it and it’s a whole market crash all at once, not just a car market. Mountain bikes, snowmobiles etc have all been thru this the last year and just waited patiently until demand creeped up again. They didn’t panic and firesale everything and they ended up OK.
This is true, same with houses in my area. One goes up for sale 15k cheaper for a similar style house and its gobbled up so fast. Less than 3 days on the market. Prices will not come down much. Ppl will continue to pay more as inflation keeps rising.
Also, put it down for a house. You're way better off. Don't wait for this miraculous house drop. Buy it when you think it's time. I would personally give a huge downpayment, close to 50% and quickly pay off the rest.
Jeep, dodge, and ram lowering their prices by 30% have no real value. All of the auto manufacturers raised their prices by 50%. You would still be in the hole with a 20% markup. The prices would still be too high for low quality junk.
The claim that all the auto manufacturers raised their prices by 50% isn't true. Take the number one selling non-pick up truck, the Toyota RAV 4. in 2019, the MSRP on a base LE front wheel drive was around $26K. Add 50% and that makes it $39K. Not true, the MSRP on a base car is around $31K. How about an expensive car, like a Mercedes GLE. The MSRP on a nicely equipped GLE 350 was around $59K in 2019. Add 50% and you get $89K. What's the real MSRP? $68K for a 2025. What about a Chevy Silverado? In 2019, the MSRP for a Crew Cab LT 4X2 with a 5.3L V8 and All Star Package was around $45K. Add 50% and you're at $67K. A brand new 2025 Crew Cab LT 4X2 with a 5.3L V8 and All Star Package has an MSRP of $56K. Bottom line is that EVERYTHING is more expensive since the pandemic. But so are wages, so is it that bad? Realistically, vehicle prices are up about 20-30% from 2019 - comparing equal to equal. That comes out to 3-4% increase per year. Most products have gone up that much and many have gone up more. Groceries, eating out (including fast food), housing (price of house or rent), home repair and health care (insurance, medicine and doctor bills) are really high. Here in CA, we pay fast food workers $21/hr. That's insane, but it's reality.
@@gregkimura5906what’s not factored in your equation is prior to 19 it was common to several thousand off msrp. Up until recently dealers were charging extra on top of msrp. I think that’s where the 50% stuff comes from. I agree though, it’s been overstated. Trucks have always been expensive imo

You do realize the value of the dollar is significantly less than that of the dollar in 2014 no? Prices are never going back. They have to pay significantly more for manufacturing, labor and financing inventory. Sad story but consumers will continue to be squeezed.
Ppl dont realize this. Wages are up for a reason. What do ppl naturally do? Spend more, and since inflation is way up since 10 years ago. It's all human psychology. Look at precovid prices then post covid. Ppl were spending like crazy over this period, opening up more rising costs from manufacturers across the board. Then blame it on inflation. Ppl will never wake up, that they have the power to say NO. House prices, cars, building material ect will never come down significantly. It's only going to get a lot worse from here on out. Mark my words.
We keep hearing about the pending car/truck market collapse. Keep hearing. Keep hearing. Keep hearing. And yet it hasn't. And prices haven't moved much at all from what I've seen. Every report I've seen says car sales were up in 2024. That doesn't sound like a collapse to me. Far from it.
40k is still waaaay too expensive. For many many people that is their yearly income so even 30k is prohibitive. That cx-5 should be 29-30k and those mazda 3's should be basing in the mid to high teens all the way up to 25 for a fully loaded. The accountants and investors may see these price increases as meeting quarterly sales goals but wages have seriously stagnated. Anyone else remember when $20.00 an hour was considered respectable?
I kind of like the Bronco Heritage edition with the manual transmission but good luck finding a dealer who ordered one, and they are still overpriced when comparing features with my 2019 Colorado Zr2 dusk edition.
30% off is not a good deal, they know the computer chips are degrading while those vehicles are still "new". Manufacturers will go belly-up as they are held accountable for their unreliable electronics. More and more often, injuries and even worse things are attributed to "system" failures. Insurance companies already need a Federal mandate for more reliable vehicles; it's about safety. We all need usable, accessible, clearly marked large control panels with knobs, levers and, buttons that WORK. Stumbling through dozens of micro-buttons as the vehicle bounces is untenable. A vehicle is a huge machine with the potential of danger. Vehicle operators need absolute control of all functions for safe travel and passenger comfort. Nobody needs the tragedy of being run off the road by "road rage" caused by a turn signal that also blasted high beams due to lazy engineering. They claim that designing controls funneled through multiple relay computer chips is done to "save on manufacturing costs". Compare that to a simple, single control, on/off switch on the dash, in plain sight within easy reach; and it goes straight through a single fuse. Just 2 pieces of wire and a switch. Can that possibly cost more than the boxes and boxes of chips and relays scattered inside and under the hood? Every late model used car comes with a list of controls that don't work and the bonus is you get an "engine" light on the dash that never goes out and never burns out. And new vehicles are junk lemons.

That’s unrealistic. There’s no way to meet Federal safety and EPA regulations and sell any car in the USA for less than $13,000. Just a few years ago that was the price of a Nissan Versa 5-speed manual with crank windows.
Auction prices have come down a lot....dealer prices have held strong... Dealers go to auctions and get used cars and resell them for a 3-5k profit. On a new car they lucky to get 3k profit

My concern: A quiet discount of 35%. The manufacturer tells the dealerships about the sale, but don't make it public. It would allow the dealerships to negotiate more, but they'd only go down as low as they had to in order to get the sale. Then the dealership would just pocket the rest. That, or if made public, you'd see a return to the add-ons since you'll be saving 35% otherwise. Can you tell I'm cynical these days?
Because of the production shortages rental fleets have been forced to hold onto their inventory longer than before. Now that dealership inventory is back up rental fleets are getting lots of new vehicles and wholesaling their aged units. This is why people have chosen to be ripped off by new car purchases over the last 3-4 years.🤔
How does a person supposedly get "ripped off" at a dealership when you have to first AGREE on numbers before signing and purchasing? Sounds like making an adult decision to me. The price of everything wenty up with inflation, not just cars. Cars are the only commodity that people seem to think stores should not profit from selling. Meanwhile you freely buy groceries and almost everything else with a 200% mark-up. Are you gonna not buy food till prices go back to the 90's? I think not. 🤔 Be for real.
@ridewithfionn so you are mostly correct. Grocery stores do not charge surcharges to the extent car dealerships do. They do not get to change the msrp at their will. They do not add percentage points to the APR that the bank has already agreed to, and much more. Not that I'm sticking up for the food industry. We're all pawns in their chess game.

@@gregkimura5906 You should check out what other states allow the Doc fee max to be. It's criminal.
50 percent increase is offset back to baseline by a 33% reduction (100×1.5=150 -> 150×2/3=100)

If Ram drops 30% , they are still 50% overpriced for a junk truck.
Because of the production shortages rental fleets have been forced to hold onto their inventory longer than before. Now that dealership inventory is back up rental fleets are getting lots of new vehicles and wholesaling their aged units. If you notice a lot of the '22 and' 23 used vehicles have 40-60k miles because of this.
where is this happening , not in this country
It is happening. I see it in Tennessee.
I see it in Texas. I have found new 2023 F-350 Super Duty's still on the lots.
China
ALL OVER THE US.
Check local dodge dealers lol. Here in Albuquerque I still see 392's 2023 on the lots, about 10, for 45k+ 😅
Thank you for taking a shot on a Mazda place.
Maybe next time also on a Subaru dealer.
greetings from Bavaria.
Please check for a 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander XLE Hybrid. They've jacked up the prices in Georgia.
Father bought a 24 chevy truck. It is nice. Few months old and been in shop twice. One recall and one electronic gremlin causing door locks to not function. Crazy.
Still doesn't make up for all the people that got ripped off over the last 4-5 years
To be fair, those people chose to be ripped off. Nobody holds a gun to their 😐 . People freely choose to say, " Here take my money."
Just look at smartphone buyers. $1000-$1500 every 2 years on average buying an apparent status symbol, which nobody else cares about you having.🤨
I have friends on disability pensions, who have just upgraded their perfectly fine previous iPhone with a brand new one at those stupid prices....I love these friends but think they are stupid for doing so.
My current Motorola Andriod phone. I bought new on sale, cash upfront 2 years ago for $200 Canadian and it does everything their new what $1300+ iPhone does.
@ groceries don’t have an msrp they are marked way up from the beginning and no apr since we don’t finance groceries but instead we pay the ridiculous price in one lump sum.
Our local Jeep Dealer keeps sending us coupons for a cheap oil change for our Jeep. NOPE, never going to happen. I am OK with Paying MORE at a Local Quick Oil Change Franchise. They are called Stealerships for a reason.
No crash coming and prices will never come down. Ever. Keep making that content bro. Got 2 friends that sell Nissan and Ford. Told me that prices ain’t going nowhere. There is no shortage of suckers to buy these overpriced cars. Come do your videos in the 5 boroughs of NYC and I’ll walk with you to the lots. All day people are in and out of Toyota and Honda and BMW buying cars for insane shit.
Exactly, my brother in law general manager at KIA dealership, business is good !
Then how are cars sitting in the grass at this dealership? Why is Nissan in trouble? The world is not NYC. 🤷♀️
Yet other dealerships are offering 17k under msrp. The world does not revolve around the crapapple.
THE FORD FUSION AUTO LINE WAS GREATLY INFLUENCED BY MAZDA. ESPECIALLY, THE 2.5L NON TURBO ENGINE. MY 2012 FORD FUSION SE HAS OVER 200,00+ MILES AND 30-33 MPG. IT HAS THE FORD/MAZDA ENGINE. THE 2013 AND UP, FORD FUSIONS HAVE THE MAZDA BODY STYLE, AS WELL. CHECK IT OUT. TODAY'S MAZDAS ARE YESTERDAYS FORD FUSIONS. FINIS PAX
The average annual household take-home income in this country is well under $100,000. Rent prices, Insurance prices, utility prices, food prices all skyrocketing. Most smart people that don't have a vanity complex are simply not going to burden themselves and their families for the next six or seven years to the tune of $500 a month and up for an overpriced, cookie cutter, unreliable cell phone on wheels. It's much cheaper just to continuously buy beater vehicles or repair them when needed these days. Planning for the future, investing that $500+ a month, building up your savings and putting money away for retirement is a much more satisfying and fulfilling way to live rather than just driving a fancy POS.
What ”POS” mean 🤔
🤪😀
Generalization there are ppl out there that pay CASH 'fancy' cars. Not everyone finances. I sure dont finance anything other than a home. Pay for cash is the way to go.
@@offroadvehiclelover oh yes I totally understand and I do the same my point being everything else in this world is so expensive most people can't afford to pay cash or Finance and put themselves in that kind of hole on such a highly depreciating asset
Smart people that aren't wealthy realized that investing not $40,000 is a much better financial decision for their future
Prices need to come down about 70 to 80% in order for them to be reasonable again. A $30,000 SUV is only worth $30,000. Pricing it at $70,000 is better than $100,000 but it's still $40,000 overpriced and nothing is going to change that. These car companies are going to either have to produce affordable vehicles or go out of business.
Is it over again?!
Nah, it's DONE
@@Edgar_Allan_Poe_50 lol
No, this is the end
Tomorrow will be the end too probably, and next Monday, every day is the end on this channel.
@@seandvideo I go on his main page and click on "videos" and just scroll down the list of all the thumbnails. It's actually insane how often he uses the same crap. His titles hold no meaning anymore.
Just got a Nissan lease for $15k off the listed price. We did the math and it will be cheaper than the other offer of outright purchase at 0% for 6 years because there was $10k off for leasing but not purchase. This is the first time in my life I have leased. The math worked out. 30% off the car that I love. 😊
I am happy and did not trade in my 12 year old Toyota plug in. I was shocked by low trade in price, 20 to 35% of what I see the car listed for. Hopefully, new and used prices will be coming down.
I've seen ads for a Silverado 1500 2wd 4 door cab for as low as 29k and a 4wd for as low as 32k. New!
Guaranteed they're going to get it from the backend
Get one
Once they start lowering their prices potential buyers with any financial common sense will start to speculate how much further they will go and hold off buying so that they don't get burnt like the people who have been willing to pay the high prices are being hurt with instant depreciation due to manufacturers discounts... it's a vicious cycle...
Yep, this is why bubbles bust, because things snap back past their baseline
This is the late 70's all over again. People almost fainted when they found out I paid $7,500 for a decked out new Montecarlo in 1978! Manufactures can't lower prices because of their cost to build. Prices only have one way to go and that is up!
I purchased a new 1978 Mayfair Green ( base ) GrandPrix V-6 w/
few options…about $5G OTD,
Still overpriced, IMO, when a
New 1978 Pontiac Phoenix, just
as good, would have been
$4G OTD. CB
I can attest that prices on used vehicles are plummeting, I just purchased a 2022 Tesla Model 3 long range with 22K miles for $28K, and a 2017 Mercedes Benz fully loaded (including tow package which was essential) GLE 350 with 70K miles for $18.5K. I visited a number of dealerships that refused to lower their prices to reflect reality. I walked out, now these dealerships are calling and texting me incessantly wanting to make a deal. Told them too late. I did not purchase new as new car dealerships are still delusional.
Glaciers crash faster than the car market.
I like my 2007 car, old but very well equipped and just keeps on going...
Mazda3 sedan is the cheapest model, while the Mazda CX-50 Hybrid is basically a Mazda with a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid powertrain
So $40k for a fancier, roomier, and wagon looking ‘Rav4 prime’
That’s a deal!
I bought my 2024 Mazda CX-5 Select, AWD, true 6 speed automatic - not CVT, (paddle shift option), dual zone A/C, power seat, heated seats, OTD $29,950.

He’s becoming more like Scotty Kilmer every week!
Could not wait any longer since I needed the car. Purchased the used. I have a great credit score but the dealer offered me 9.2 percent. This is crazy.
