ET--don't know you, but thank you for all the great compilations! I often watch them before leaving work and going to train! Keep up the great work. Get the guys on PL Watch to occasionally post the links as motivators...
Sumo basically turns the DL into a quarter squat. More of a hacked Deadlift. Shorten the range of motion and take the low back and hammies out for the quads.
Giovanni Brunazzi, all-time WR holder in deadlift! That's the most anyone has ever pulled at 181 regardless of equipment, although Coan pulled 791 raw.
i love the 904 dead lift the 230 pound kid did fucking sick, and i would also like to see more conventional pulls since thats the real way you dead lift.
tryhard dude, i have a body type, so if i do conventional I will not activate alot of muscle mass, and it will turn into a stiff legged deadlift... but i get that it is your opinion :D .
As a commenter says below, Martin did the same amount in training, although I'm not sure if he was actually 181. A training lift is somewhat different than competition of course: most people have bigger training PRs than competition PRs. Martin did a huge 771@181 in the IPF which is indeed a WR.
shaws grip width would be difficult without straps. but he is awesome. I have started gripping wider too so I can get my feet further apart and running into problems with my baby hands.
This was my thought exactly. Given Benni's missing his last DL at the CAPO meet, I think Savickas, Shaw, and Koklyaev might be quite close on a PL style deadlift. Shaw only pulls with straps because of his recently torn bicep; he has one of the strongest grips in the world.
I've used up most of the Coan footage in my past 3 compilations. Check them out. The first 3 feature all of his all-time records--at 181, 198, 220, and 242.
I think it's appropriate Benni isn't last in this one, he's not the best puller out there at the moment...that title might actually belong to Koklaev as far as powerlifters in official competition. It seems like the overall field of deadlifters is incredibly high right now, with so many guys in the 400-410kg range, but without any extreme outliers in the 450+ range anymore.
indbol webelieve pretty sure there are multiple videos of this deadlift compilation (since the video title says "deadlift compilation 4")and bolton is on another video.
Just wonderful, been searching for "ways to increase deadlift" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Yenabriel Deadlift Smasher - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin got excellent results with it.
Yeah well depends how wide your stance is. it isn't any easier than conventional. takes alot more legs strength. I use sumo because of my body structure. I just cannot maintain a neutral spine doing conventionals unless i get into an awkward half squat position. No i am not lazy, no i am not stupid. I just find that sumo saves my lower back from certain disc herniations in the future that i KNOW i would have gotten if i continued to do conventional. Besides, sumo is a more natural function.
all you guys snubbing sumo lifts.....do you also snub people who widen their stance for a squat? Or people who widen their grip on a bench? Or how deliberately grow a foot of belly fat in order to make the bench press ROM less? Come on. Sumo is legit, just like all the above examples are legit. Get over your stupidities.
I wonder if Inzer woke up that morning thinking "Tonight I'm going to pull 4.5x my bodyweight while on fucking fire".
conventional seems relatively rare these days! (not that im old enough to compare it to any other era..)
Time to make more videos!!!
Magnusson lifting 400 kilos for reps like it's no big deal :D
These compilation videos you make are some of my favorite, please consider starting up again.
Is that a textbook form by Brunazzi at 2:07? That's a damn beautiful deadlift
That Magnuson was an animal. Wow. Props to Shaw of course.
Haven't even watched it yet but already favorited
Damn son

Great Vid. No footage of Coan Deadlifting available??
And here I thought if I ever reach 200kg, I will be goat in my circle. Apparently, for my weight, people are lifting 340+ at such competitions.
girls lifting heavier than me at lower bodyweight and im jacked...fml
What's the song? Mark Petrie?
Who else hates watching people pull sumo?
word
yeah
+Ari Lehtiniemi yup it ain't beastly to me,more a technical thing
there is n fucking lockout, and its pretty much a squat from the bottom
Sumo basically turns the DL into a quarter squat. More of a hacked Deadlift. Shorten the range of motion and take the low back and hammies out for the quads.
Love these compilations.
I agree with Joe moe get if you can find some clips of the old school Power house deadlifters like the video of Brunazzi. Amazing
I feel so weak now. Damn, what great pulls.
Giovanni Brunazzi, all-time WR holder in deadlift! That's the most anyone has ever pulled at 181 regardless of equipment, although Coan pulled 791 raw.
Great vid man!
I deadlifted 120kgs at a bodyweight of 74 kgs. In the video there's a lady that deadlifted 245@63 kgs. Wtf
2:50 862 @ 198... the speed.
Great video
2:13 wolverine is that you???
Great vid
May i know the soundtrack? tx
I have a feeling Eddi Hall will be in the next one of these. 400x5 deadstop, no belt.
Amazing vid, song?
Wow that Brunazzi lift was impressive. Who is he?
You earned it--no question!
i love the 904 dead lift the 230 pound kid did fucking sick, and i would also like to see more conventional pulls since thats the real way you dead lift.

magnus00125 well thank you for understanding lol, keep killing shit
we all have our opinions and we have to talk shit about what we don't like hahaha
Song name: Mark Petrie - "Lethal Eloquence"

@@masterchief4868 sumo is easy af I literally hit 20 pound prs every time I do it not gonna lie
around the 1:45 mark i asked myself "why is there fire"
~4.5 times body weight lift..
Sweet vid, thanks for including me! Look for a bigger pull in Nov.
Awesome video! esp that Inzer lift!!
WHo's the guy at 2:06?
shaws grip width would be difficult without straps. but he is awesome. I have started gripping wider too so I can get my feet further apart and running into problems with my baby hands.
How does it feel to pull with wider stance and grip? I noticed nearly all strongmen pull with slightly wider grip and stance.
it feels easier to lock out especially if you got big legs and large hib adductors.
that John Inzer deadlift was awesome
That clip of inzer's was epic
What song is this?!
No Kevin Nee 905?
Monster pull! Subscribed.
I truly wish that you just did raw compilations
Amazing that you found that John Inzer footage.
So is 904 the current WR @ 242? Pozdeev didn't have it long.
Two different records--Posdeev's was raw, the 904 was equipped.
i think there is a mistake with lbs and on the left
Are they natural or enhanced? Just asking. I just want to know.
I included both tested and untested lifters.
+AL VIN 100% natural, not even a multi
Very powermonster,good!
So many living 4x their bodyweight we haven't heard of. :) More than we know. :) If it weren't for TH-cam...
Didn't Tom Martin break that record or was that just an IPF WR?
3:45....i fucking hate Magnusson sooo much, LOL! Doing reps with 881 LBS..fucking beast-mode right there.
Where George Leeman ?
You guys gotta start watching my other compilations! I've featured him before.. I think it was on compilation #3.
Just popped up on my watchlist. Haven't checked the rest of your channel out.
Hah, no biggie.
I just got out the gym, now i want to go back….
But it 's like when you just had sex.. and become horny right after..but can't fuck instantly 😂😂
What does 195@57 mean? That she is 57 kgs and she can lift 195kg?
Yes. The weight is 195, the lifter is 57 kgs
thx bro!
Good suggestion for the next one. For every clip I include, there are two I have to cut--otherwise these vids would be 20 mins long!
i hate sumo pulls, conventionals look much more awesome
Unless it's Chris duffin or dan green
Hey man whatever gets the weight up.
+Purpose of Reason I never tried sumo stance, I guess you can lift heavier because of the reduced ROM?
+Crazy Frog from what i hear sumo is harder to get started moving off the floor
sumo is about making love, conventional is about fucking
simply...A W E S O M E
funny to see those men pulling 881 lbs for one rep and then Magnusson doing five...
Andrey Belyeav makes it look so damn easy. That is one strong little Russian bro
3:45 I thought that was Bennedik? Or I must be tripping.
Some of the lock outs are baerly past the knee ridiculous
I've used up most of the Coan footage in my past 3 compilations. Check them out. The first 3 feature all of his all-time records--at 181, 198, 220, and 242.
You should put magnusson's 1015 in the end cus that's the heaviest ever
Benni making everyone else look like a child...
did anybody saw Ana Santiago-Geitner 319 alltime record?
1:00 walter jr.?
auhuahahu yeeeeah
Say my name
hahah..wh-whats for breakfest m-mom?
epic video :)
Not trying to hate on shaw but he was hitching hard.
Yeah, this is standard strongman technique.
+theGeeker try lifting half a ton with good from mate.
pozdeev would have made a fantastic Olympic weightlifter, he is so explosive.
It is. Benedikt Magnusson.
LOL @ 1:40 deadlifts in the firepit. srsly impressive
I like how some people train really hard to lift only 120 pounds
im 73kg and deadlift 160 kg and i just started
+Chrisrox62 I'm 5 years old and can deadlift 300kg I'v been lifting for 10 years though.
+Callum Douglass LMFAO!!
Great job man, aren't you a little young to be lifting though?
Someday in few years...
I think it's appropriate Benni isn't last in this one, he's not the best puller out there at the moment...that title might actually belong to Koklaev as far as powerlifters in official competition. how can u make a deadlift compilation without Andy Bolton?
yeaah... the first person who lift 1000lbrs how dare this video.. indbol webelieve
indbol webelieve pretty sure there are multiple videos of this deadlift compilation (since the video title says "deadlift compilation 4")and bolton is on another video.
0:50 Im in love *-*
I think you have seen literally every pling video ever
On my other videos. Not enough people deadlifting over 1000 to include one on every video, hah.
real deadlifts start at 2:10 !
А где Дикуль??? У него 460 кг!
MrNathe9999, You are greatly mistaken.
wtf was with the fire lol. Looked like a WWE match.
strongest went conventional
Mark Felix? Pete Rubish? Chris Hickson? Wtf?
такие бы 447кг не на одних соревнования не засчитали
Lmfao at all these people hating on sumo when the only way any of these fools will ever lift this type of weight is with a forklift.
urgh less sumo
Some of these forms were really bad though...
spine day
Luigi fagiani
who the fuck pulled 410 at 105! chris hickson?
looser ou est le record de magnusson en raw a 1015 lbs
Just wonderful, been searching for "ways to increase deadlift" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Yenabriel Deadlift Smasher - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin got excellent results with it.
Sumo deadlift is like half rep bench or squat or illegal wides their just not as badass as conventional deadlifts
Magnusson. Wtf
note how nobody’s doing conventional? yeah, that’s because sumo is easier…
Some of these ROMS are sad
Not to be a sexist or anything, but I really don't enjoy under 500 pulls by females.
