I remember when I was 23, I was the size of his left leg.. now I am 30 and am the size of maybe both legs combined.. lolol Great video man. I am hoping to hit 600lbs this year, keep crushing it and that world record will be yours sooner than you think!
medved alternate grip is better, but grip strength is almost always a problem when people are lifting more than 900lbs. Hook grip is even better than alternate, but it hurts more, so most people don't use it. But you find people failing with grip at every competition.
medved no, straps provide a lot more help, and I mean A LOT more. If you don't know this, then you don't do heavy deadlifts. With straps I come close to have infinite grip strength. I have never even been close to slipping using straps, but with alternate grip I can hold maybe 250kg and 300kg using hook grip. Now this is high rack pulls and far above my real deadlift, but it kinda illustrates the point.
staslig I think he means using straps weakens your grip strength, which it does. Although if your grip strength isnt there and you can deadlift more than your hands will hold it will help to use straps.
Hey man, I'm trying to figure out the key to your success. I can hear you listening to Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, and Killswitch. I also listen to those same bands. Why can't I deadlift 900 pounds yet? Haha just kidding, that was an awesome lift! Such an inspiration!
Good Lord, and this ain't no BS, you're the second coming of Coan. Happy Belated Birthday big man, thanks for the new pre-deadlift-workout motivation vid.
Nikolla Mihallari If you are natty most people it will take at least 10-15 years to add 300 lbs to their deadlift. once you get over 4-500 there are diminishing returns and it takes exponentially longer to go up
well congrats. I saw a powerlifting documentary where a guy put about 300 on both his squat and deadlift in 2 years but thats all he did along with accessory exercises and training like 5x a week.
This is amazing.. You are seriously an unbelievable showing of strength.. 1000 on the squat and DL coming in a couple years.. With a 550-600+ bench? Fucking ridiculous, happy birthday you legend
Was literally stunned when i saw this video. I think everyone knew you had the potential to pull 900lbs but to do it so quickly after your 865lb is just hard to believe. Absolutely incredible. Looking like 2400 is going to get destroyed at your next meet!!
This man has ripped 900 pounds off the floor, with his bare hands, in a matter of two seconds. Most cannot even fathom performing such heavy of a lift. What just a frickin monster. The man truly is a freak of nature.
That is seriously insane, that is pure brute raw power. That an unbelievable amount of weight. I like dead lift I just can't lift much. But I know I got to start at the bottom and work my way up. Good job man. Very impressive.
It took me exactly 5 years and 1 day to go from my first 800lb Deadlift to my first 900lb Deadlift. .I pulled 800lbs Raw for the first time on March 5th 2009 at 18 years old.
Oh my gosh. That first rep at 405 looked like you were going to throw the barbell through the ceiling! One day I'll be able to deadlift as much as you do (on your very first warmup set as my max 😎).
Holy Shit! Did your nose start bleeding at 5:01? That's fucking hardcore. You know you're lifting like a man when your insides are exploding. Keep it up!
Are you blind? That's clearly a 1 piece lifting singlet. Same singlet I wore in both of my most recent competitions. Belts, Knee sleeves. Knee wraps and Wrist wraps are allowed in a lot of federations for the Raw division.
Bros...fuck all of you it was a statement I made that Eric clarified. The damn singlet resembled a lifting suit in the bottom portion. I'm not an idiot, and I probably rival our surpass you guys in IQ. Plus, it is not you people lifting! He is a monster and should be lifting this much anyway, which is what struck my questioning of possible help.
I've always been wondering about how he is 290 pounds here and deadlifts 900 but now he's 308-310 pounds and has trouble doing 900 not sure if it's just this day he felt great or he deloaded the week before.
Could you say what bulking cycle gear you use or are you not supposed to talk about that? I'd be interested in knowing to see if I am on the right track myself.
Proly a dose of Vitamin T that one would use for their first cycle and maybe an oral. It's more about technique when it comes to powerlifting. The gears are just to speed up recovery so u can train harder.
pretty sure it's playing with his phone hooked up to the sound system lol why wouldn't the guy pulling 900 get to choose the music playing during it hahah
Wheres the bicep curls video you promised me? lol Hey Eric you probably don't do this but do you do incline bench press? I was hoping to see you repping 495 on it one day just like Stan that would be really epic. Happy Birthday
Eric Lilliebridge because there is more than one specific way in the world to have fun?... or you don't fuck either?... "why would i want to fuck if i can have more fun deadlifting 900lbs?" ;)
All I have to say is Damn! I have a 315 lb raw (raw not capitalized because no where near as impressive as what I just watched) deadlift, but hey i'm only 16. Yet I'm sure you were lifting a lot more impressive weight at that age.
Well I guess we'll see 950 fall soon. You definitely had 915 in you.
Thanks man, that 900 felt way harder than it looked.
Eric Lilliebridge talking about heavy, is that blood from your nose? Good work man.
+Higher Entertainment man this is so exciting Pete might pull 1000 with wraps
You're going down - sick puppets
good lift
It looked like he was going to do a back flip with 405lbs
Lmao. It really did
😂😂
Lol, what if he did, that would be impressive lol
I remember when I was 23, I was the size of his left leg.. now I am 30 and am the size of maybe both legs combined.. lolol Great video man. I am hoping to hit 600lbs this year, keep crushing it and that world record will be yours sooner than you think!
Do you even lift brah?
alucard everlasting LMAOOOOOOOOOO
alucard everlasting XDDDD I'm fucking gone!!
alucard everlasting
well that's not very nice
alucard everlasting Do you even aesthetics? He looks better than you.
0:27
No big deal. He just pulls 405 faster than I pull an empty bar. I feel weak.
I spit out my drink when I saw him pull 405 that fast. Made me feel half the man Miley Cyrus is.
I still watch this for motivation all these years later 💪
Imagine in the medival days there was a bridge, and in the water were a bunch of lilies, and in order to cross it, you had to get past this guy.
lmao underrated comment :D
LOL!
I think your deadlift is awesome and I love your taste in music.
LOL, DAT 405 leaf weight :) I've met some strong guys but this? This is fucking insane strength. Just amazing.
I also listen to (old school) Bodom when lifting - one of the best lifting bands (also heard it in your raw squat PR vid). Much respect.
Dat hug with dad at 5:22 :')
the nose bleed made the last lift so hardcore !...Great job man
This man lifts 585 with the speed that I lift 225...
25th birthday 1000 lbs
Haha maybe on my 30th birthday.
23 my ass lol, you look 40 bro. But you still a beast tho
*****
get the stick out of your ass
*****
did i hurt your feelings lmao
*****
log off bro
UnderDog Glory You super insecure man
Kalle Muronranta
Aw man, now you know my secret.
900 lbs NO STRAPS WTF???
He must have incredible forearm strength to even grip the bar
medved no.
medved 545. Your comment is wrong. Alternate grip does not equal same gripping strenth as straps. If you actually lifted over 135lbs you would know.
medved alternate grip is better, but grip strength is almost always a problem when people are lifting more than 900lbs. Hook grip is even better than alternate, but it hurts more, so most people don't use it.
But you find people failing with grip at every competition.

Man and here I was proud over my 450 pound deadlift, shiit lol.
i get so happy watching his dad after the lift. Looks so proud :)
Sends chills down my spine. THE KING.
Must have watched this video 30 times over the years, really great to get me mentally set to lift heavy
That's probably the most impressive deadlift exhibition I've ever seen, your explosiveness is insane.
Dost thou even hoist brethren.
Good Lord, and this ain't no BS, you're the second coming of Coan. Happy Belated Birthday big man, thanks for the new pre-deadlift-workout motivation vid.
Wow. Happy birthday man. You definitely are going to be the strongest powerlifter ever. No doubt.
Strongest family that will ever walk this earth, no doubt.
Well, I'm 20 and have a 350lb deadlift so far. We'll see if I get to 900lbs in the next 3 years...
Nikolla Mihallari If you are natty most people it will take at least 10-15 years to add 300 lbs to their deadlift. once you get over 4-500 there are diminishing returns and it takes exponentially longer to go up
silatguy nah it doesnt take that long. ive added 300lbs to my deadlift in less than 2 years. and im not even anything special!
charlie mcgivern If you did that is very uncommon. What's your secret champ?
i have no other hobbies lol. plus im 18 so lots of test
well congrats. I saw a powerlifting documentary where a guy put about 300 on both his squat and deadlift in 2 years but thats all he did along with accessory exercises and training like 5x a week.

I think he is a great fan of children of bodom
Inspiration in the fact that he is truly dedicated to his sport and is constantly improving through hard work...absolutely insane much respect
That first pull of 180kg when the bar whips at the top................... POWER!!!
Congrats and thanks for the motivation! Had some set backs but it's hard to complain when you see something like this! Insane!
23y old and near the world record. Fucking insane. Just like George Leeman. Imagine these guys in 5 years, busting world records.
This man has ripped 900 pounds off the floor, with his bare hands, in a matter of two seconds. Most cannot even fathom performing such heavy of a lift. What just a frickin monster. The man truly is a freak of nature.
900lb deadlift raw, thats freakin Awesome !!! Much respect !!
That is seriously insane, that is pure brute raw power. That an unbelievable amount of weight. I like dead lift I just can't lift much. But I know I got to start at the bottom and work my way up. Good job man. Very impressive.
yes indeed. who doesn't love getting stronger!!! good job bro. happy late bday. stay healthy
The form is hysterical
That was absolutely amazing. You are already close to Kaz at 23. When you are 30, I can't even imagine what your total will be.
I dread to think of where your strength will be in five years.
Huge milestone here, great job.
It took me exactly 5 years and 1 day to go from my first 800lb Deadlift to my first 900lb Deadlift. .I pulled 800lbs Raw for the first time on March 5th 2009 at 18 years old.
Happy Birthday man. Congrats on the PR!
I've never commented on TH-cam before but the intensity...good luck!
Insane…love the children of bodom playing in the background too!
but can he do it without a belt though?
+Marco Mark Good question....
+Marco Mark At a weight like this, a belt isn't gonna do jack. I think a belt adds 30-40 pounds max and that's being generous.
That is surely some kind of world record at 23? Wonderful to watch dude!
Oh my gosh. That first rep at 405 looked like you were going to throw the barbell through the ceiling! One day I'll be able to deadlift as much as you do (on your very first warmup set as my max 😎).
Michael Longo You better start saving up for the steroids and hgh then
Holy Shit! Did your nose start bleeding at 5:01? That's fucking hardcore. You know you're lifting like a man when your insides are exploding. Keep it up!
awesome!! happy birthday Eric
I forgot raw include a belt and lifting suit...hmmmmm still impressive though.
Are you blind? That's clearly a 1 piece lifting singlet. Same singlet I wore in both of my most recent competitions. Belts, Knee sleeves. Knee wraps and Wrist wraps are allowed in a lot of federations for the Raw division.
dude thats not a lifting suit
dominic rubino It's not a lifting suit it's a singlet.
dominic rubino you are very handsome, yet about to get rekt m8
Bros...fuck all of you it was a statement I made that Eric clarified. The damn singlet resembled a lifting suit in the bottom portion. I'm not an idiot, and I probably rival our surpass you guys in IQ. Plus, it is not you people lifting! He is a monster and should be lifting this much anyway, which is what struck my questioning of possible help.
Very nice brother, for arm strength and form are key here and he has both...well done
The way the weight moves is incredible, some horse power
Very impressive, and Happy Birthday. I always enjoy watching your lifts. Subscribed to your channel.
Pulls 405 faster than I can pull the bar, good shit!
obituary and COB \../
why does my gym blast shitty music?
Gees this dude was bleeding out the nose after hitting the 900, fuck I'm not about that life but I commend you on your excellent strength !
1st comment.... Speechless.
absolutely fucking brilliant man, keep up the good work
lifting up the 405 like you could curl it, crazy strength
What a beast. Deadlifting 405 like it was nothing.
A 900 lb pull with CoB playing. Fucking awesome.
Impressive and encouraging strength. Also to watch the technique.Hope to get that one body movement like this!!
Congrats and happy birthday
Unreal. cant believe someone who is so young is doing this.
I've always been wondering about how he is 290 pounds here and deadlifts 900 but now he's 308-310 pounds and has trouble doing 900 not sure if it's just this day he felt great or he deloaded the week before.
Awesome job.. Hopefully can come see ya for training tips, live in highland Park.
PROPS to this powerlifting gentleman 🙌🏽
Happy Birthday on that too man!
best technique in terms of hamstring activation and setup.
if we could get this guy into olympic lifting i think he could medal in the olympics
Savage stuff, happy birthday dude!
I can talk about whatever I want. I just choose to keep those things to myself.
BeijingPower Yeah I've done a few Vitamin T's with a side of Vitamin Dbol. I have form down pat. The recovery is always awesome while your on!
Eric Lilliebridge Fair enough mate.
Eric Lilliebridge Im guessing 70 grams of creatine/day
Holy shite you just lifted honey boo boo's mom & precious! Awesome!!
The way he just rips 405 and 500 off the ground like an empty bar is fucking terrifying.
His 405 was literally completed within a split second.
Incredible!! Guys a human crane! 290 lbs..how tall is that mountain?
Wish they played Bodom at my gym :(
Insane speed on that 900!
pretty sure it's playing with his phone hooked up to the sound system lol
why wouldn't the guy pulling 900 get to choose the music playing during it hahah
Love the support from everyone around him! Fuckin monster!
For me, the best part is the pride on Ernie Sr.'s face at the top of the lift. -Jeremy Shatka
Nothing destroys my plateaus like watching a man piss in the face of a planet's gravity and rip 900 pounds off the floor before I train.
awesome how each pull is done exactly the same.
I could have sworn the back was just a mirror reflection until I realized it isn't lol
23 you look like your in your 40s, good effort well done.
Wow after working so hard the rest must have made a huge difference. Still Close Grip benching heavy though right?
Wheres the bicep curls video you promised me? lol Hey Eric you probably don't do this but do you do incline bench press? I was hoping to see you repping 495 on it one day just like Stan that would be really epic. Happy Birthday
Why would I want to Incline bench when I can have more fun Deadlifting 900lbs?
AW :(
OH WELL :)
Eric Lilliebridge
because there is more than one specific way in the world to have fun?... or you don't fuck either?... "why would i want to fuck if i can have more fun deadlifting 900lbs?"
;)
Lifting to Children Of Bodom, fuck yeah. And fuck yeah to your raw 900lb DL!
He can do more now. His goal now must be to break the record. Best of luck.
All I have to say is Damn! I have a 315 lb raw (raw not capitalized because no where near as impressive as what I just watched) deadlift, but hey i'm only 16. Yet I'm sure you were lifting a lot more impressive weight at that age.
Absolutely outstanding!
unreal lift. what was the song playing during the 900lb??
congratulations!
Incredible and inspirational.
I make that same 900pound deadlift face when I take a shit... Anyways great fucking job man! World record soon to be yours!
Good job man! How long does it take you to go through all your warm up sets? must be a heck of a long time.
Impressive as hell. What kind of bar is that??
Fuck yeah children of bodom for the 900!
Amazing well done. I just have a question for you, at what age did you start raw deadlifting?
Beastly lift man! That is insane!!
Dudes a beast.
Awesome. Strong dude.
I'd be lucky to be 1/4 your size when I'm 23 lol. What a Beast!!!
lmfao....fuckin beast!!!!! made 585 look like 135.. this shit is so addictive, i love it. nice lift
+jbw5485 You're right steroids are very addictive.
