Hey etwade, I'm a strength coach and powerlifter..dude i love have you put both forms of the deadlift together man! I'm a big fan of sumo style and I just love the video man.
The hummer tire deadlift is quite different from a normal deadlift. They do lift it off a platform, but even with the platform it is still a traditional ROM deadlift. I do believe you are correct, however, that Savickas did 433 kgs (955 lbs) on a full ROM DL that they had at a recent competition.
Many good candidates for the next one in flight 4 (i believe it was) of the deadlift in the ST backyard meet of the century. Warmups were also incredible. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out.
Savickas's 506 kilo lift was not a traditional deadlift, but a strongman deadlift from higher up. Savickas is extremely strong though--look on my other deadlift compilation to see him do well over 400 kgs.
@timmy cortez whenever I hit a big deadlift I like to hold onto it for a while and linger in the moment... It's the best moment a lifter can hope for...
The reason I do it in the comments is that it seems sometimes if I put it in the description the audio track gets muted. I'm not sure if that's actually what happens, but now I'm paranoid.
at the same deadlifting style magnusson has done 1100 lbs while savickas did 1117 lbs tha was world record! but i dont think it's different because when they deadlifting those hammer tyres they step at higher base which is between the two sides of the bar with the tyres! so i think it is the same movement although at 2012 european strongest man he did 433 kilos!
1 person who watched this video, doesn't lift. These guys are ogres. My record to date is 450lb @180lb body weight. And some of these dudes are doing around DOUBLE that. Maximum respect ! Legends.
You don't need to talk down about other deadlifters on these videos: do you pull more sumo? I certainly don't. Tom Martin's 350@82.5 was on the very first deadlift compilation I ever made. Feel free to check it out... there are plenty of videos on my channel. Enjoy.
No problem--I just see a lot of people bashing sumo because it looks easier, but I can assure you Tom Martin pulls less sumo than he does conventional. Different technique works better or worse depending on the person. Tom Martin is great; sad he hasn't competed in forever.
does a sumo deadlift count just as much as a traditional deadlift and in the same seance does a suited deadlift count just as much as an un-suited deadlift. sorry im an old school guy and think all squats should be walked out (no mono-lifts, walk the bar out, or "lifting aids". personally i think it should be "one person, one bar, one lift" that's power!!! all the other stuff is just training aids and crutches. id be more impressed with a 600lb squat raw than a 1000 suited and all that shit!!!
Those dead-lifts are epic. Even the grip on most of those is unimaginable. Holding 800+lbs for 10 seconds. Holy hell.
it always amazing to see what the human body can do after many years of hard work and perseverance.
Holy shit that 1015lb pull by Magnusson was fast
i miss your compilations they are always very motivating
Etwade makes the best compilation videos I've ever seen.
Wow Magnussun is a beast. The judge calls down twice before he sets it down. He just held 976 like it was nothing.
great video and soundtrack to accompany
I love how magnusson always runs towards the bar!
Hey etwade, I'm a strength coach and powerlifter..dude i love have you put both forms of the deadlift together man! I'm a big fan of sumo style and I just love the video man.
Awesome video! Gotta watch this before my next DL workout !!!
i watch this montage everytime i workout even if i dont train my back lol
just amazing
Appreciate this effort so much what a pity you cant Continue doing These Compilations I always watch them before heavy deadlifting
Great candidate for my next video. Thanks.
@aaaa16296 the thing with the tyres is the bar isn't fully loaded until all tyres leave the ground making it a bit lighter at the start of the push

Meet don't start 'til the bar hits the floor. Great video!
Gotta love how Magnusson always puts that weight down properly
how the fuck did hawthorne deadlift 600 for reps...insane
3:50 & 4:58 That is amazing to watch he makes it look so damn easy wow....
real life Incredible Hulk
Good candidates! There are so many great pullers out there.
Many good candidates for the next one in flight 4 (i believe it was) of the deadlift in the ST backyard meet of the century. Warmups were also incredible. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out.
Fair enough man, I only noticed it was in the comments after I'd posted :P
PS. Your vids are great!
KK is featured in the first Deadlift Compilation.
Conventional is so much more satisfying to watch than Sumo its unbelievable
damn. webber. 800@242. crazy strength above the knee.
definately, still got the record now in the gbpf. And pulled a world record on the biggest stage as well IPF.
I love how he holds the lift like it's nothing in the end lol. The Judge had to signal to put it down twice/
This is PB motivation right here!
4:00 is my favourite lift
Savickas's 506 kilo lift was not a traditional deadlift, but a strongman deadlift from higher up. Savickas is extremely strong though--look on my other deadlift compilation to see him do well over 400 kgs.
Great video!!!
Absolutely Inspirational!!! Love it!!!
Imagine being the barbell in front of Magnusson.
Or hook grip....Same goes with @ 2:05 as well.
@timmy cortez whenever I hit a big deadlift I like to hold onto it for a while and linger in the moment... It's the best moment a lifter can hope for...
4:10 Magnusson gets the down single twice total bad ass
Brutally strong men
Koklyaev with the double overhand grip. Damn
Drakes Cakes That was a hookgrip
Frans Jonckers still though. That is some serious punishment on the thumb lol
He's featured prominently in the first deadlift compilation.
Then what about that Hansen guy...
He looks like Rainn Wilson yet pulls 4 times bodyweight.
The first dude is one of the very strongest pound-for-pound.
Put the song names in the video descriptions man, you use some awesome music :)
Don't forget about Urbank's 906 lbs. at NOTLD
Fedorenko, dat hook grip!
in the 460kg lift, im thinking the bar must weigh at least 30kg+ but dayummmm that was fast.
When you include Lilliebridge and Hickson?
The reason I do it in the comments is that it seems sometimes if I put it in the description the audio track gets muted. I'm not sure if that's actually what happens, but now I'm paranoid.
I love how the heaviest deadlift on here is conventional, A PROPPER DEADLIFT!
3:43 That's that GOD DAMN setup
What is more impressive than their pull strength is their grip strength. How in the world...
Awesome video, anyone know the track being played?
given his small frame and light weight, I was actually really impressed with the very first guy
Chris Hernandez he's hot mad leverages.
Still, 4.5 x bodyweight. Won't see those 350lb guys doing that shit. :)
Glorious!
1015 - no straps. Legit.
*00:23* *Hail Hydra*
3:40, best psyche up ever
What is the name of the song ?
Amazing !!!
Mark Petrie - Artemis
Kinda missing Konstantinovs with his beltless deadlifts :'( .
Every video, whether about lifting or not, should end with Benni's 1015
Hawthorne... 4.6Xbodyweight for reps. Unbelievable!
When is the next viideo comming?
I've featured him multiple times in my other compilations. Check them out!
That make sense..
Has anyone else noticed....Magnusson would be great as Darkseid/Thanos? He's got that build naturally. Damn.
you know you're right I was thinking he was a real life incredible hulk but he really does have a Thanos body type lol
at the same deadlifting style magnusson has done 1100 lbs while savickas did 1117 lbs tha was world record! but i dont think it's different because when they deadlifting those hammer tyres they step at higher base which is between the two sides of the bar with the tyres! so i think it is the same movement although at 2012 european strongest man he did 433 kilos!
How much they are lifting @ bodyweight
Magnusson is so fucking intense
3:15 ...a double overhand grip?! ...holy s---
Koklyaev is certainly using a hook grip there. He's accustomed to it from his Olympic weightlifting background
Where is kk
Maggie could have done 1100 on that last shot. He didn't 'lift' the weight, he just picked it up. Gah. Unbelievable.
1 person who watched this video, doesn't lift.
These guys are ogres. My record to date is 450lb @180lb body weight. And some of these dudes are doing around DOUBLE that. Maximum respect ! Legends.
Anyone know the music track?
whats the song???
what music plays?
whats the name of song?? tnx
What do the numbers mean?
Dont forget savickas 506,6 KILOS!
Fuck I love deadlift. Best exercise
@ChildrenOfFable Mark Petrie Artemis
great
Benni is a cyborg
dan green is the real life Thor
it looked like Magnussun could have gotten an easy double with 1015
Nas Weekes
Benni is an Icelander so he was probably channeling Thor and Odin! Haha
Magnusson. Thousand pound club.
No Lamar Gant :(?
Where is Martin in these videos? 350 @ 82.5 conventional... All these short guys pulling 4bw sumo isn't anywhere near as impressive.
You don't need to talk down about other deadlifters on these videos: do you pull more sumo? I certainly don't. Tom Martin's 350@82.5 was on the very first deadlift compilation I ever made. Feel free to check it out... there are plenty of videos on my channel. Enjoy.
etwade I'm not "talking down". No, I never said anything regarding my own accomplishments... Thanks for the videos
No problem--I just see a lot of people bashing sumo because it looks easier, but I can assure you Tom Martin pulls less sumo than he does conventional. Different technique works better or worse depending on the person. Tom Martin is great; sad he hasn't competed in forever.
never a big fan of sumo . but thats life
or he is thinking if i can pick it up properly and can put it down properly XD
the ones who insted of selfie doing legs
maybe he trains on a oak floor or something so he is used to putting it down gently :P
🍎s-to-🍊s comparison.
Zangief! Hahahahah, nice...
wow, in 0:04, who would've thought he could dead that heavy with those chicken legs O_o, I guess you can't really tell with just looking at his legs..
does a sumo deadlift count just as much as a traditional deadlift and in the same seance does a suited deadlift count just as much as an un-suited deadlift. sorry im an old school guy and think all squats should be walked out (no mono-lifts, walk the bar out, or "lifting aids". personally i think it should be "one person, one bar, one lift" that's power!!! all the other stuff is just training aids and crutches. id be more impressed with a 600lb squat raw than a 1000 suited and all that shit!!!
Tom Martin shoulda been in there again
I really think Benny could hit close to 1100.
wers kk deadlift at lol
need a new vid no tom martin or rob palmer
1000 pounds is beyond me
