    I love the RX. Always the right amount of luxury without feeling overdone

    I think that the price is Ok because you get perfect build quality,, a very good material quality, a good design, a V6 or a Hybrid engine and you get also a very good reliability, where a lot other premium brands not have. This is a car where you can drive for a very long time. Thank you Kevin for the video.

    Just picked up a RX450hl. Very solid car. When i close the door it feels like im closing a bank vault. Did not want to get the new upcoming 2023 model. Just not into the new powertrain. We wanted something that will stand the test of time and I know the V6 will.

      Nice! Is your RX L made in Japan? This RX I’m testing is from Canada and the driver side door doesn’t feel that great for me

      @@MeynMotorGroup yes it’s built in japan. VIN# starts with a JT. Just another reason why we opted for the L model. Only the L model is built there. BTW love your channel. You provide a unique perspective on your reviews and thoughts

      You don’t think Toyota Lexus product will last if you get the new ones? Cus why they’re gonna just give up their rep for reliability? You didn’t do enough research but if you feel like you got a good deal then that’s what matters, but you could say that and know that if you’d done real research you’d know your opinion is yours but not based in logic.

    Well Kevin as you know I'm a big saloon lover, not so much an SUV type. We bought the 19 RX350L to keep grandchildren out of the LS, travel, etc. After driving it. I could not deny that it is well built and of high quality. The only con I have is that my wife will not give it up she loves it. Your right the luxury and lighting packages are expensive, but are worth the money. We get 26 on the highway, 19 in town, and with 35k miles it has been flawless, on second set of tires. Great review.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      haha you and me both my friend love a good sedan. But yea the RX is impressive and because you have an L model, yours is made in Japan which I think is cool. I can def see why the wife wants to keep it 😅

    It’s very quiet and a lovely interior. Gotta say tho, it really does drive like a front wheel drive luxury mini van that was what the Lexus dealer sales person said when he saw me drop my gsf off lol he really wanted me to be prepared to just go slow and enjoy the cushiness and when you do that, that’s the best way to drive the car take your time.

    I've now have and had my 4th RX hybrid model. I love it and think it's worth the price difference. Whether you drive an RX350 or RX450h, once you go over 65mph to 70mph+ your MPG you can forget about gas mileage. What I think was missing in the commentator's review is maintenance is a little less money on the hybrid. For instance, with each of my hybrids (2007 RX400h, 2008 RX400H, 2015 RX450H and 2022 RX 450H) I've been able to go over 110,000 miles without worrying about break pads. Each time I have them put on wasn't because I heard the high pitch noise the brake sensors make when too low on pads, but I've been told my Lexus service that each time, I probably could have gone another 15k miles. Compared to non-hybrid, you may find your pads need to be changed at least twice before I had mine just once. That's about $900 per brake job.
    The kinetic energy from taking your foot off the pedal before braking, already slows you down some. Thus, less brake pads. City driving is quieter. Also, I believe with the RX350, you had differential fluid changes. I may be wrong on that. I do love Toyota... AKA Lexus. They make a great car for the price.

    Just bought RX350 F Sports, and just discovering the many features. It is a dream to drive, and parking is very precise and easy. Likely we will get an UX. We prefer the traditional V6 engine.

  • @soleroice13
    @soleroice13 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    If you have a family I think it's worthed to get the 2023 rx 350h for two reason. The trunk space is almost twice as big, from 16 to 30 cubic feet. The hybrid train is very refined and gives you 36 mpg, some reviewers say they easily get 40.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree I love the new 2023. Problem is going to be price and availability. There’s almost certain to be no discounts available and most likely will have markups and long wait times

    I would add one more con to my newly purchased premium car: the radio, capturing the HD signal is as elusive as the lotto. Of course the dealership will not admit either a loose antenna connection or software glitch. After dropping $60k on what i thought would be a joy,...it's rather anti climatic. As a ref, my 2018 rav4 had zero problems in this area.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As a product, the GX is far superior but due to horrid gas mileage it just never makes sense for a family so I would probably just go with an RX L since it is made in Japan

    This outgoing Lexus RX looks so amazing,.. I would get it in a heartbeat if I were a rich asshole, lol. But it's basically double the cost of the thrifty Honda CR-V, so alas, I'm sticking with my middle class / peasant compact SUV for now. Funny enough, I'm not interested in the redesigned 2023 RX because the CR-V already has a turbo 4 banger engine and I don't think the new RX looks as cool. It doesn't seem quite as appealing (to me) as the 2016 - 2022 Lexus RX with the V6.

      @MeynMotorGroup  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They charge pretty much the same cost of a new one for an old saggy RX that’s 4-5 years old with over 40k miles.

  • @Lesfac
    @Lesfac 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Here's a con that irritates the hell out of me. If you have cruise control at say 60 mph and you reduce it to 40 mph, the car will actively slow to 40. But having got there it will allow the car to over speed downhill. I expected better in a car with such a good reputation. The infotainment system is awful. Designed to raise your blood pressure. I don't know why reviewers always overlook these issues. On the plus side it drives beautifully.

      Ya know thought it was just me but ~ I have to cover my ears when I run mine through the car wash with my 2022Rx! I’ve owned an MDX, 2-door Cadillac, SRX Cadillac and this 2022 Rx350. My friend owned Lincoln continentals and 2-door Lexus sport. I must say (IMO) the American cars were much more luxurious with appointments, and ultra smooth rides than the MDX or this 2022 RX350. It’s ok but kind disappointing [considering the price tag] ! Guess I’ll drive it until the Lyriq fixes it’s electrical bugs 🧏🏻‍♂️
