- Hey guys, in this video we will be going over 10 feature that a 2017 Lexus RX350 has that most people don't know about. We bought this SUV as an upgrade to replace an IS300 Sedan and starting noticing a lot of hidden feature after doing a deep clean. On top of a great design come a lot of bells and whistles that we felt would be nice to share with you guys. It’s so annoying when people (men) that make these RX 350 videos and introduce them as their wife’s vehicle… I’m a man and I own an RX 350. Many men own RX 350s.
They drive it as well but are embarrassed because people have dubbed it a ladies vehicle 🙄

@@DreamyBoba I haven’t even test drove one yet but I’m going to this weekend. I’m looking for something with comfy seats and as little road noise as possible to enjoy music on long road trips. About once a month I’ll take a trip around 1200 miles over a weekend.
Just bought a 2017 rx350 with 90k miles and gotta say this suv is the best vehicle I’ve owned so far.

The video was still useful to view even for my own 2022 RX350. A few things I observed in the video that looked improper. First, never place your wash mitt or brush on the ground. You will pick up small particles and rub them into your paint's clearcoat causing swirls. Moreover, I would have rinsed the car first before shooting the foam cannon. Second, the foam cannon container should be filled first with water and then the measured shampoo added at the top before closing the cover lid. This way you avoid creating lather foam rising to the top of the container when filling it with water. The author's method of preparing the foam cannon appeared to generate very little foam when he did spray the cannon.
Solid instructions, I came to the comments to mention the same thing.
I have a 2020 RX350 and I love it…but be careful for those looking to buy a 2023 model because they are now made with with a 4 cylinder turbo….no thanks
Absolutely! 56 years as a licensed mechanic and I wouldn't recommend a turbo to anyone. Unless you are a mechanic, have a friend that's a mechanic or have very deep pockets. I'd definitely wait a couple of years to see how this pans out.

Never put your micro fibber mitt on the ground and then use it on your car. Grit makes scratches. That is a Lexus not a KIA.

@@Pennington0Justin I guess I should have said a daily beater car. but the KIA is way cheaper than the Lexus is. Also the layers of paint on the Lexus is way more.
Love the remote start, don't love that the car shuts off when you open the door and requiring a restart. Wish there were a workaround for it.
The remote start and lock/unlock features now costs $8 monthly or $80 annually.
That's what I'm about to say. If knew it was going to be a monthly fee for a feature like that I would have not bought the car.

You still can do remote start press the lock button twice and then long press once
@@ruveembest Thank you for the tip, works great!! I probably should have read the manual better. Still shuts off when I open the car requiring a restart unlike my Jeep which keeps running just requiring me to press the start button.

@@plantbasedchef7569 I love it. For some reason though, my seat has never stayed programmed. I’ve tried to reprogram it and it works maybe 1/4 of the time. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong or it there’s a glitch.
The new 2021+ RX has the power trunk kick feature. Also if you link Alexa to your Lexus app, you can voice commend your Lexus to start. Also if you hold the unlock button on key fob, windows and moonroof open. If you hold the lock button down, the car also remote starts.
but can it close the windows on command ? :)
Tried the remote start and window down with holding the lock and unlock as you describe on my rx450h and it didn’t work?
@@scottwilson7378 Click unlock, then unlock and hold it. Windows should roll down. Remote start is lock, lock, hold lock until the lights blink and it starts.

It's weird. On the 3RX you could utilize the key fob controlled window roll down feature without any additional programming. Allegidly due to people complaining about their windows going down for no reason, on the 4RX this feature is turned off by default. In order to enable it, you have to ask the dealer to program it for you. .

Have you tried pressing the lock button 3 times, holding down on the 3rd press to remote start the car?

Own 2022 rx 450h fully loaded. And just got a 2022GX 460 ff(sports package). While both look great I would say matt finish is the best.All my friends and family admire its presence. Even during dinner and barbecue. While rx poster (4x6ft) is in the living room, I have got the gx poster(also 4x6ft)in the dining room. So the gas guzzler can be fed as and when needed. Love them both!
Now I can have my own LX 460. Thank you for the tip! I saved 100 grands! I like the glossy version over the matte finish!

Remote start subscription service is way out of line. Ive owned my car for 17 years. I would have paid $3,264.00 for remote start ehen in actuality i took it to local company & paid them $350.00 one time fee. Over 17 years its needed to be recalibrated twice and i was not charged either time for service. Lexus has done their customers wrong on this one.

I think the 2017 was the first year they became STANDARD features.
Got a 16…I can get the app but I don’t see the start icon on my app..
They stopped the app for 2016 because 2016 used 3G and that is not used anymore I was so mad when they took the app feature

How do you turn off the automatic stop assist when your backing up and the suv make a sudden full stop to prevent it from hitting something?
4:04 The small wrist rest on the right side of the screen can be opened to store cards, keys, coins etc.

I own a rx 450 h 2022 bought it brand new still wrapped from delivery and I'm a male have a 2000 rx 300 and 2007 gx 470 thought it was time to upgrade ..love my lexus so much ...wife got herself the 2021 nx and she loves her little luxury zippy car ...so yeah I drive a RX and I identify as luxury export to the United states ...LEXUS

Sorry, but this car foam sprayer review went sooo bad. First of all, you start by cleaning your wheels, then apply the foam from the bottom of the car, so the foam does not dry up so quickly. I believe you messed the proportions or you should most likely apply an additional felt insole so the foam looks like a foam. Then if you use the wash mitt, you wash car from the top so you don't transfer sand and other particles that may scratch your paint on the most visible car parts like the hood or upper parts of the doors. Lastly: never put your wash mitt on the ground 🙈

Nice video, Ty. Comment the 1st number 1 feature didn't work. Maybe it's a special vehicle level, but my 2020 doesn't do anything when waving the hand between the rear window and rear emblem. Another comment is that the app sucks.

Power seat memory isn't a safety feature, but kind of a big deal if multiple people drive the car. You don't want to have to set up the seat every time you drive it.

I have this model, just a couple of years newer. All the stuff he mentions are pretty well known by most owners. I learned nothing new here. And yes I am a biological male with lots of testosterone - and proud of it.
10 minutes runtime for the car starter is a bloody joke! It’s-34 celsius here today and the car isn’t even remotely warm enough. Toyota doesn’t allow you to increase the runtime either. And you can only use the remote start twice in a row before it disables the function entirely. It won’t let you use it again until after the car has been started physically

Yes. You can do that almost in every car sold in the US.

Yea and then they discontinued the 3G so the Lexus app is basically useless, No more starting car with the app, No more location, No more distination assist, Basically all of the things that made this car really cool is gone, No work arounds. So now it is just a basic car Sucks. I purchased my 2i016 new for all of those features. Very disappointed.

2022 Lexus Rx 350 0:17 hidden fact. Panoramic moon roof when it is cold the car is extremely cold when it is hot it is extremely hot even if you turn on the ac to the maximum it does not cool the car because the cover is very thin plastic sheet and no body talks about it.
