We need to stop using phrases like “work family” because in the end they will treat you like a trash bag.
So just like my real family? That checks out then
You are family, you're just the red-headed step child.
It wasn’t like this before it all began when small companies went public I work at ups and a friend that just retired told me ups was a very good and family friendly company it all went to shit the minute they went public and allowed share holders dictate everything and a lot of them fire people because it’s profitable
@aperxmim I roll my eyes when I hear that 🤦🏽♀️
So true! No such thing as work family lol
If they can save money, they will screw you!
People please understand HR, is NOT for the employees.
It’s true, my friends I had in HR told me the exact same thing. HR is there to protect the company, not the employees.
I learned this a very very hard way..
@@ntk4569 It depends on what the interaction is. I've seen way too many times, someone reports another person to HR for SA or other reasons, and they end up terminating both the victim and the accused.
Then once the victim sues for wrongful termination, the legal team creates a settlement and the case just gets swept under the rug completely.
And then when other co-workers start inquiring what happen, it's always "We are not allowed to discuss confidential matters."
Same thing with safety, they don't give two Sheetz about your safety, if they did they wouldn't ask you to drive into work in the middle of a blizzard.
HR is there to protect the company against potential employee lawsuits.
It takes 5 rounds of interviews to get hired and one minute to get fired. What a sad sad world..
I literally went 5 rounds of interview to get my entry level analyst job.

Damn
I can't imagine uprooting my life for a job just to be fired 2, 3 months later!
Yeah that’s an evil on the company I can’t comprehend
@loulouwaters9050 happened to me way back as an intern. I got laid off right before my 3 month probation is up and the reason was my lazy pregnant supervisor didn't want to train me the intern.
And then again when i moved from ottawa, on to phoenix, az. Company kept boasting record growth but they let 2 of us in a 4 people team go a week apart. They screwed us on our bonus, then only offered 2 weeks severance and pto owed. If you took all your pto, you got free money, those who didn't lost out.
That was the worst for me. Three months is nothing, you still got stuff in boxes in your apartment after 3 months. Just getting settled.
😅😅😅..
All the young adults that voted for Biden are now being laid off from their jobs.
The same is being done on purpose by our govt. Who Is pressuring Employers/HR to pull jobs from new hires after they relocate.
My hair stylist told me her friend from Boston relocated to our Western NY State city to start a new job after receiving her offer letter, but the day her job started , HR called and told the woman they got rid of her position.
The woman sold her home in Boston, relocated out of state and now cannot pay her rent, utilities and has no job.
Brittany gave them hell
One of the reasons people hate HR calls, it has happened to me!
As she should 💅🏾
I hope Brittany can sue the company and make them go bankrupt.
And should!! Rosie and Dom weren’t ready.

This is why you should NOT EVER be loyal to these damn jobs! They want you to give a two weeks notice, yet, they don't give you a two weeks notice.
Yep
Instead they give you a 1 month to 3 months of severance….vs your 2 weeks notice
@@fredm.2699If you are fired, the the company has to pay severance in addition the the notice period. Still, even if what youbare saying is true, not giving any notice is illegal
@@bugra320 i live and work in the US where you are not required to give notice. You only give notice if you want. If its them who fire you, they will pay you severance but its not required. They typically will pay you and have you sign something saying you wont sue them for anything. This is how it works at these big jobs like investment banks, wealth management. I don’t know how it works in retail jobs.
What do you mean loyal? Just do your job.. period! If you get a better opportunity elsewhere, do you care how they will do without you? NO!
This is why jobs don't deserve 2 weeks' notice. Every job I've quit wasn't giving 2 weeks' notice. I quit making it it effective immediately, for the reason.

100% this is how it should be in life. It should only be once someone shows that they don't value you, you walk away and never look back.
Jobs don’t be caring about anyone, they care about making profits. It’s wack tbh.
Yes, It’s a lot of greed in these companies, only worry about making money seem like ppl are replaceable to them.
Because companies that lose money stay in business and continue to employee people on a deficit? HELLO! Of course it’s about profits. Grow up and see the real world. If you can do it better then why don’t you start your own company? You can run on a deficit, and see how far that gets you!

@@seminolewind158I was in sales for well over 20 years, owning my own business as well as working with/for others. I can promise you it was not the fact that she did not close a deal.
I'm certain of this because it is general practice for a salesperson doing poorly in performance to have a verbal and written warning with a plan for improvement in place prior to being let go.
No one wants to lose the time they've put in training someone or the money they've put up front for commission/wage loans lent on future sales.

I was laid off from my job in February. I was told through a teams meeting with other employees and my manager was not there. My whole department was let go because they wanted to outsource our jobs. Companies don't care about their employees.
Same here, teams meeting back in mid February to give a 3 month notice that our jobs are being outsourced. I have a couple more weeks to go. Greed is leading these massive company layoffs everywhere!!
And it’s Trump who would impose tariffs on those goods imported into overseas like cars manufactured in Mexico and other places- he actually cared about the well being of Americans, yet you didn’t vote for him. You voted for the corporate profit party- the Democrats, instead of voting to protect your own… so why are you complaining again? It’s kind of like those New Yorkers who voted to end stop and frisk and enacted soft on crime laws… and now businesses are leaving en masse due to the rampant flash mob looters and other insanities. So New Yorkers voted for more crime and to destroy their city. The city is now destroyed and crime is everywhere. Why do they complain, I’m confused.

Regular job folks ALWAYS have one foot out the door. You should always have a plan & emergency money when working a job. These employers DON'T CARE.
Companies will always do what they think is best for them. Employees need to do the same. You are not a family and most coworkers are not your friends.
The Golden rule - It does not matter what u know it matters whom you know. Trying to get a job by just applying will not do. When people send resumes on line or even coming in person , does not guarantee even interview. Most employment advertisements in reality are not for hiring . Someone was already hired ( nephew, sister's BF),. Just for statistical purposes and revealing job opening ,they supposedly put ad for employment . But, resumes that they get are being kept for a while and than being discarded without reading. Here is the lucky ending, having connection will qualify you to get a job and to keep it regardless whether u have skills or not . U can be trained while being on job.
Yes connection with people of influence will definitely take you far in life
These days people struggle with creating relationships and keeping in touch often

I could not be an HR person for any company. You have to have tough skin when sent by management to do the dirty work of firing/laying off people. At the end of the day, it wasn't HR that picked the people who get fired, they themselves are just doing their job. It's a tough spot to be in regardless. You would have to be a robot in order to not feel empathy or compassion for turning another person's life upside down. OAN, these trends of posting online every little thing (in this case big thing) but nonetheless does NOT help for future prospects. I have been with my company going on 25 years and have been blessed to survive 8 RIFs (Reduction in Force or restructuring). I'm close to retirement and under no illusion I will keep skating by, so I have been saving as much as I can just in case. They generally offer early retirement w/severance first before forcing people out. I just need to survive the next two and I will be ready to take severance and run for the hills. I have a year worth of bills saved and my house is already paid for and I don't have a carnote. No one is paying attention to real reason behind all of these layoffs and they are blaming their employer. If this was a single company doing a layoff, then you can blame the company for mismanagement of funds or greed. But look around, layoffs are happening everywhere and this is because JP is using his tools.
It is about maximizing profits.

Only one little problem homie and that is that these corporations are playing off of people's basic need for community to get their corporate needs met. They wouldn't be able to hire people if people didn't believe that they were entering into a relationship. And a lot of people just cannot understand the nature of a business relationship, nor will they ever. Simply because there are more sheep than there are sharks when it comes to money goggles. The trouble starts when people get their money goggles ripped off cuz they got laid off and start to realize that they're not sheep and that's CEOs are not sharks. That's when the revolutions and the revolts and all that stuff starts. I don't think we have... very easy times ahead. Just going to put it that way.
It's great to see these videos because they show how corporations don't care about workers. They exploit workers and lay them off whenever they want. It's often a big risk to change to a new job because you don't know what will happen. It's difficult to not get a paycheck for even a month because it can set you back several months, depending on your monthly expenses and other responsibilities.
Even when Narcissists are in discard mode they still want to remain in complete control dominance and intimidation...
Kids, it's a sad world and this is horrible, but unfortunately they don't owe you an explanation. Most of us are living in right to work states and their reason can be "just cause". These HR folks are just doing their jobs and they're prob subject to the same cuts. Just take the term and hit those job sites ASAP while heading down to the unemployment office. This is about to be a really bad for all of us within the next year. We thought 2008 was bad. People are running out of credit and savings and can't keep up with the prices, this is about to be really ugly.
The Hell with that employer. We all need to have a side gig
They keep saying that they’re good employees but if they can’t afford you then???? Why are they lying.
It could be very true. I was fried twice and hired back twice by the same company. After they hired me way farer the supervisor called me back up because I am a good worker to hire me again I didn’t apply for the job again both times.
So something it can be true.
My company I work for now even though I was lay off did for budget cuts. Months later they realized they very dumb mistake because they already had a skeleton crew in many departments. Tried to hired them back but many already found other jobs and didn’t look back.
I hate corporate run arounds, just be a normal person
🖕🏾the system. Who cares about these companies. If you are able to leave GO and tell them a day before. Also, if you are a great employee and they won't give you a yearly raise BOUNCE. I try to bounce every 2 years, if I didn't, I wouldn't be getting a raise.
Day before? Tell them the morning of or end of day.
@@alee111 LOL.
2:23 did he say “as of today” meaning she won’t have a job tomorrow? She asked the right question after. If you didn’t have the budget why hire people? The girl with the company party does not sound like a real thing to me. Idk it feels like a skit, and really bad acting.
Feel bad for Gabriel. Uprooting for a new job and getting fire shortly later. She was professional and classy during that process.

Prayers To The People Who Have Been Laid off 🙏🏾
“You punched Stephanie in the stomach”
“Can I be a VP?”
why do these people even waste there time in these meetings.. conversation would be over soon as they say your being let go
This is why you should only be an average employee at best. I know how well I can perform but I take stock of what my peers are doing and perform just slightly above their level.
This is just more confirmation for me to start my own business! You guys also, don’t forget, whatever you were good at doing at your job that laid you off, you can STILL do that job by teaching others the knowledge you’ve gained. For instance, if you were good at sales and your title was ‘Sales Manager’ or Marketing, you can teach people about sales and marketing, and how to strive in their own business or career. You could even write and sell Ebooks. How I see it, when one door closes, MANY MORE can open up. Use the knowledge you have and pivot off that, and who knows maybe you’re meant to retire being YOUR OWN BOSS and not an employee of someone who is willing to let you go at any time. Let’s LEVEL UP ALL 2024!! Don’t give up. You can cry, be frustrated, kick the curb, but whatever you do… keep going!! Wish you all the best.
I use to work at a bowling company called bowlero, they left me go by the next day after I was giving a 2 week notice that I was leaving. The general manager was aware that I was leaving but didn't know it was apart of there policy. There were 2 other managers telling me about bowlero's dogsh*t policy, and mainly the reason why I wanted to leave because they were giving me less days to work which hurt me financially since I wanted to get my last paycheck, but no, the CEO and company is just full of sh*t when they took over lucky strike. Luckily, I'm glad I was getting hired to a new job on the same week.
This happened to my friend in 2004 and I never gave 2wks again.
I’m suprised cus Bowlero has high turnover and low staffed at a lot of the bowling alleys they needed you more than you needed them
This happened to me back in 2015. They cut me 2 wks short by a week and a half.
@@jakoblarson4597 That's what it seems like with training, but it was likely that would let go anyone that either messes with their reputation or disagree with their heinous policy. Quitting there just thought me most corporations would not give a damn about what you're struggling with, rather it's at work or at home.
I'm truly glad I'm not the only one that been through corporations crap when it comes to giving a 2 week. I would prefer to work my own pace then rely on corporate.
I was laid off back in Oct 23' from my job that I was at for 5 years. I am just now landing a job in my field this month. The job hunt is exhausting. While I also took time to look for jobs in my field, I took the time to start my own print on demand business and I am doing really well with it . I needed the break from corporate america, it helped me regain a sense of what i wanted out of my own life, to have something I can call my own. While I am now back in my field, I am also constantly working on business and making sure that it continues to grow. I needed something I can fall back on. I made a promise to myself I will never allow anyone ever again to tell me I'm fired or that I am being laid off and solely just rely on that job to get me by. Its also a shame that in at will states that these companies can fire anyone without any real justification. I'm really rooting for all those going through unemployment and are down on hard times because it is without a doubt mentally draining.
Did you take a specific e-commerce course to train you for print on demand? If so, who's course, and how much was it? Thanks
Thank goodness my mental illness turned out to be a blessing in disguise years ago!!! If I didn’t have SSI and Section 8 housing I’d still be homeless or worse dead from crime or from the elements. I’d be contemplating murder if I got fired especially when I MOVED TO THE JOB
“We are relieving you of your job responsibilities” is crazy!
First of all, never believe in a company. They don't believe in you, they believe in liquidity.
❤ As a business owner, I went from being laid off to having to lay off people. They were with me for years and believed in what we were doing. I had countless sleepless nights wrestling with that decision, I hated myself and felt deeply guilty about it. Hold back for days before I told them personally, one at a time what had to be said. They were so gracious and I even though they smiled, I knew I had hurt them. I cried that night, because I was one of them and I knew what they will go through. Not all bosses feel this way, but some still have a sense of humanity. I wish all of you prosperity in your endeavors, just don't give up. Take this advice, I learned it in the military, "as long as you draw breath, put one foot in front of the other and keep on going. If you say I can't, then you won't, if you say I can, then you will. ❤
If I could, i would hire Brittany and out her on my marketing team. That girl is going places!!!!
To the unemployment line!
@seminolewind15pretty much8
Stop giving your lives to these corporations who don’t give a F””k about you!!! But, what are you gonna do when they made the game and you’re just a pawn!! If only we could band together and stand in solidarity against this backward and upside down system! Imagine what we could accomplish!!
It was believed that tech workers were the ones who drove up high rents which displaced a lot of families because they made more money and could afford higher rents.
At 3:26 that really broke my heart. As an employer of a small business, i could never imagine putting someone in that horrible predicament especially if they have uprooted their life to take the job I offered. I had a situation where I knew I was no longer going to accept money from a particular project that I won a bid on. The labor was too intensive for the crappy money they were giving. I had 13 months left on the contract. I had to hire two people to help finish it out. I told the candidates during the interview process that the project would be phasing out in a year so they wouldn’t get comfortable doing the job and so they could really think long and hard if they wanted the temporary role or not. I found 2 great candidates. When the project ended I found another way to pay them until I could landed another long term project. They were so appreciative for my honesty. I was just treating people like I would want to be treated if i were out there looking for a job. These types of companies give all employers a really bad reputation.
I love the trolling bit, lol That's funny.
Every time I’ve been let go all I said was ok and hit the pavement looking for another job.I didn’t ask ish.
She was trying so hard to argue about her job after saying she didn’t close anything. The only thing they care about is numbers. That’s what sales is
So her manager just lied to her? I think we know who really needs to be fired. She's hadn't even had 3 months' work
@@smanqele they were being nice lol. You can be fired a month after being hired if you aren’t selling. Do not get a sales job and think they’ll keep waiting on you to make them money. They are losing money paying you from day 1
I don’t have tik Tok so I appreciate your videos ❤ keep it up girly
I recently moved to a city 2x the size of my tiny hometown. I assumed getting a job would be easier here. Boyyyyyy was I wrong. I’ve applied to so many places and a week will go by and nothing. When I call they say they’re fully staffed and taking applications but aren’t actively hiring. WTF
The solution to all this is to always have a backup plan, sometimes two jobs make sense when one let you go , you can fall back to the other.
This is soooo true but most don’t get it
Hurts more when you are at a company for almost 20 years, promised the world, did all the training. But life goes on!
And you're over 50 years old and contributed to the growth and success of tge company walking you out
'This is jot based in your performance' We don't even know who you are girl. You are a number.
My compassion to everyone going through this ! I wouldn’t even go back and forth with the company do your thing and I keep moving because what I say or don’t won’t change what’s happening.
Advice to young people: getting laid off is normal. Expect to get laid off sometime in your career. Look at it as an opportunity to find something better. I got laid off in the early 90's. It forced me to relocate to a state with better job opportunities. Now I make six figures and have significant assets. Getting laid off was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Just get through the five stages of grief and move on and don't look back.
I had to go thru seven, yes seven layers of interviews, up to and including meeting with the CEO. I had to perform and ace a battery of tests, all the while maintaining a friendly, yet professional attitude before finally landing my dream job. I can now proudly state that I'm the company janitor!!!
I hope the least the company can do is to give them a notice that they are going to be let go and then help them as much as they can finding a new job like being a reference.
Minimum, 6 month severance.
