Watching this made me so emotional because seeing everyone’s creations and the joy they put into their islands reminds me of how much I love this game. It’s brought me to know amazing people and brought me a happiness I don’t know if another game ever will. Even with a break from it I am always excited to go back and create

This overview is so helpful! I am almost done with my Japanese rural town island and have been thinking about a new theme. I'm definitely leaning towards an autumn Dark Academia island now 🤗🍂🍃

@@josipop Ahhh, thanks for the interest, but I don't have a DA for it, unfortunately. I took some inspo from Pickleton, they made such a beautiful Japanese island (there are some videos about their island online).

I am shocked junglecore didn't make this list! Its a very fun theme. If you are into nature I would recommend it. It is a lot of trees, flowers, AND SO MANY SHRUBS! It is worth it and looks super nice in the end. I would 100% give it a try

I am currently working on a cozy mountain town island
It has aspects of cottagecore forestcore and a short of vibe kinda like your coastal town island. I want to make it a very natural island but with some very rustic town vibes
Sort of imagine a town with vibes similar to stardew valley.

I only missed one of my favourite themes in the video: Mediterranean. I've seen some impressive Italian/Spanish inspired towns using castle walls! Being from the Mediterranean coast of Spain myself I can't help but find myself drawn towards that aesthetic 😊

I loved all the islands, so beautiful! This inspired me so much, now I know what my island shall look like. I wanna do a mix of forest and fairycore, maybe more in the direction of smth witchylike. Thanks for all the wonderful creation guys! U r really so creative

For my next island im thinking of doing fairycore/cottagecore on one part of the island, and then a kind of civilization or town in the middle, and then a more dark witchy area on the other part, basically whoever lives on the island are going through some crazy things (i mean like witches and fairies thats like crazy) thanks for the inspiration

I bought a nitendo switch three weeks ago and I play animal crossing every single day so far. I really like it!
I do not have a theme yet, but I want to have a few themes combined from this point forward. I think of the castlecore, cotagecore , coastal town and natural together. I think my island will turn out lovely, I hope :)

I've tried a handful of themes but I always end up going back to natural / forestcore.
It's the most relaxing to me and makes me happy. So, on that note..

I think i created my own Island theme 👀Ive called it ‘metalcore’ and It’s basically a gothic looking Island But based on my favourite metal bands! (nightwish, ghost ect)

I really love the mushroom theme and autumn with like overgrown but neat plants everywhere- sorta like dark Acidamia i loooveee that style its really cute and simple 😭😭 but i just dont know what to create i haven't even played this before and looking to get it for Christmas, i played on a 3ds when i was little but i dont remember much from it, but i just wanna make something aesthetic where i can come onto and just relax in the island 😭💞

Cool video! I love the winter island. I’d love to know how the creator made the circular peppermint candy designs on the ground along with the hook shaped candy canes and holly/mistletoe designs on the ground.
All the designers of these islands are very talented.
I also love the island that looks like the surface of the moon and the underwater island. I love them all!

I’m thinking of a structured romantic town next! I’m totally starting over and my challenge for myself is to actually finish the island (I have had so many islands and i don’t think it has ever been properly complete).

This wants me to change my island theme the people that made these islands are so creative! My favorite was the space/moon theme or what it was. But since I already have an island theme and also some builds done I don’t feel like changing it.
Im going to mix Japanese rural with Coastal town and Overgrown I think. And also add some of my own touches. Like I want a snowey mountain area aswell and a big Tuna fish market 🥰 And a goat selling milk in the snowey mountain is a must 🤣 Im excited. Im about half way, been working on it for over a month

I never thought I would say this but I’m doing grandma core because I need something that neither stitches or Raymond wouldn’t fit into to, and grandma core does exactly that plus it’s just cool
I doing an autumn core with an apple theme as well. I reset so many times to get an island close enough to what I wanted. I didn't get an orange airport, but the rest was okay.
What's an orange airport?
@@Vampiric-Princess airports come in 4 colors. Green, yellow, blue and orange. The colors are for aesthetics and will also determine what items you have in your Nook stop kiosk.

Dark Academia is what I've been working on. It really reminds me of places like Italy, which is where my Grandma is from! I'm planning on showing it to her once I'm done.
I like the seasonal themes and such,it makes me feel like I had a childhood once,I also like the pirate theme because I love PIRATES

i loved playing new leaf as a kid, and i’m glad new horizons is implementing parts of the older games! the only thing i know that i’m doing with my island is maybe no terraforming?? and i want to keep it pretty natural! might do a farm granny 50s thing???

Im working on a pirate-steampunk island currently, and my next island is gonna be comfortcore (??)
Basically it’ll just be things that bring me comfort, like certain villagers, the colors green and white and brown, and some other things 😋😋

As fun as these look to do you have to keep in mind that the shape of the island you get can make or break a project like this, I happened to get a bad shape, so no matter how much terraforming and rearranging I do I'm not going to be able to do stuff like this, I'm trying to the rustic one right now but I can't.. get it right, it's going to be ugly no matter what, I honestly don't even feel like continuing anymore, I used to love this game so much two years ago, but I met my very first girlfriend on this game and long story short she ended up being a monster and it left a lot of emotional scaring so now everytime I open my game it makes me think of her and I can't gain the motivation to put the love I used too.
My brain wants either like a cherry blossom filled village, or clown town 💀
My question is where the heck are all the villagers living

i really love these ideas, and incase someone else wants another unique idea, i made my island to be like a school campus and put school uniforms in able sisters and basically made the whole island a school campus + houses are like dorms

I loved all of these islands! As much as I would like to make either a fairycore island or a Witchy theme island, I've been looking for some islands that have a more modern theme to it. I would love to have a more business theme for my island for something similar to it! If anyone has some recommendations for themes, I would love to hear them!

Just started another island, Fall/winter suburban town.
im finishin my Lush, verdant, waterfall filled island with lakes and koi ponds as well as rooftop access... dont know where it falls under though. hahaha still finishing the beaches (definitely the hardest area to fill up)
