I actually was thinking about my island and how it is currently bc I recently decided to redesign it which has been a slow grinding process. But I kinda was like what even is the point of the game now? Decorating? Nahhh it’s playing the game. How it was meant to be played.
I love that you used so much yellow and other warm tones in your house. It's a nice break from the very white/creamy/pastel look that is so common. The room with the baths is so nice. I love your flower garden too!
AAAAAH I LOVE THIS ISLAND SO MUCH! These type islands make me feel more relaxed than the more popular islands with a million custom designs. Your island creates the in between that makes me feel nice inside. ❤❤

I love that you leave space to walk around things! I see a lot of people with houses/rooms that just have so much decoration that you can't actually walk up to because it's so crammed together. It makes them feel like Ikea showrooms that you just look at, but yours feel lived in and functional. I love it!
I wish I could experience acnh for the first time again and being OBSESSED. This game kept me sane in the most stressful time of my life and it will always hold a special place. Enjoy it as much as you can

I like your gyroid area! I have so many and have been struggling with the sheer quantity of them. Having one of each in an area that isn't hyper-terraformed (like the flowers) really appeals to me! THAT I can do. And the plushies? I'm almost 63 and have plushies in my bedroom IRL because I love them! Never too old for them! 😊
This is probably my favorite island tour. Very simple but well thought out. I also love how there's a lot of walking space for the villagers to breathe and walk around without bumping into something lol

This inspired me to start playing animal crossing again. I played like 8hrs a day last summer to try and make my island like one of those Pinterest islands and I burned out so bad and haven’t played in a year but this just makes me want to take it slower and more casually and just design however my heart tells me in the moment 🥹🥹🥹

I just recently started my Day 1 island because I had gotten so frustrated with how it was going and didn't feel like tearing it all down again, and seeing your island has given me so much inspiration!!! I'm really trying to focus on having things be very natural and not as cluttered and almost industrial as my original one had ended up, and seeing so many simple but beautiful and organic areas of your island is so inspirational. I'm really aiming for a Foresty-theme with some Fae vibes mixed in.

This shopping district really inspired me! I got the game super late (Dec. 2023) so I’m pretty early on in the game compared to most people. I’ve been having a hard time envisioning what I want to do after flattening. I was scared that making my shopping district too small would leave me with too much extra space. But yours works perfectly! I can’t wait to get started now.

A lot of time I see stunning modded islands or islands where people go all out but it makes me a little overwhelmed or feel like I have no imagination at all LOL but seeing your island is so calming, beautiful, and realistic.

I love this! All the super aesthetically themed islands are cute and all, but I couldn’t get past they didn’t feel authentic to the old school animal crossings! I play very similarly, no strict theme just making it how I like it ❤

i love this!! my island has a lot of these same elements (shopping center, carnival, flower garden, etc.) but seeing it laid out this way has helped so much and given me so many ideas on how to rearrange things!

I love this so much. This makes me feel more inspired to play than anything I have seen in so long. I work full time and don't have time for an extravagant, modded island but I do have time for one that is a labor of love.
This shopping district really inspired me! I got the game super late (Dec. 2023) so I’m pretty early on in the game compared to most people. I’ve been having a hard time envisioning what I want to do after flattening. I was scared that making my shopping district too small would leave me with too much extra space. But yours works perfectly! I can’t wait to get started now.

Omg I just found your video and it's very refreshing (just as other people agree in the comments) to see a casual normcore island. A lot of time I see stunning modded islands or islands where people go all out but it makes me a little overwhelmed or feel like I have no imagination at all LOL but seeing your island is so calming, beautiful, and realistic.

Oh my gosh! I loved your island tour so much. It’s so personal to you and there’s so much heart behind the builds. My island is also a forever island and I built things completely off of my personal preference (I’m also a maximalist). I recently started replaying ACNH. Had to start all over because I forgot to transfer my first island to my new Nintendo Switch, but it's been fun :') Glad to see people are still playing and also beyond excited to hear you can decorate the villagers' homes now!

i love your island. i just started this july and ngl im so pressured. idk how or what to do with my island. i have a theme i want to execute in my mind but i just don't know how to execute it. so seeing your island and you seeing it as a "casual" island definitely pushes that pressure i am feeling. tbh maybe i'll just yolo my first island too
i feel you! my island is 4 years in the making, and i built and destroyed so many sections, so i hope you're able to take your time and experiment with any ideas that excite you!
I love your island and your home. Your home is has a similar theme to what I want my home to look like once I get there😅. I am also going to take same functional approach to my villagers homes because I find it weird when people don’t have beds or kitchens in their villagers homes.

I love this! All the super aesthetically themed islands are cute and all, but I couldn’t get past they didn’t feel authentic to the old school animal crossings! I play very similarly, no strict theme just making it how I like it ❤
